Chapter 11 - SINCERE APOLOGY

After receiving another dilemma, Shee Bah arrived home, so bitter, more than how she went. Crashing the helmet down on the floor, she cursed angrily:

"Dammit!"

She came to realize late that she had leaked information that required to be confidential to the wrong ears, just to prove a point.

She got stuck in regrets:

"The last thing I would have done was to tell that fool about my marriage with Madrat! I know exactly what he's capable of!"

She scratched her head puzzledly, and thought to herself:

"What am I going to do now? How am I going to correct this damn mistake I've just made?"

After all, the last thing she would wish for was to contradict her husband's will _ "not to put their marriage in the public eye".

And, had she remembered that money was Chi koh's weakness, maybe she wouldn't have opened her mouth carelessily on such a serious matter that could cause any kind of collision between her and her husband. Chikoh didn't care whether in good or bad terms, soft or hard, peaceful or chaotic, he could even give out a loved one for sell, just to earn a fortune. Which means, there was no way in anyway at the moment that Shee Bah could stop him from selling such hot news to the news outlets.

After all, hehad aproved the news from an undoubtedly trusted source.

Now, Shee Bah had to put her jealous aside, and figure out how to account for this mess when her husband returns, so that he doesn't get offended when the news outlets reveal a breaking news: Madrat is rumoured to be married with an under dog singer Shee Bah.

"Hell no!"

Just mere thinking of how the news may bring it out in the headlines, made her curse anxiously, like her world had come to an end. Right there in the car garage, Shee Bah for found herself an immediate seat on which she sat with an anxious expression on her face, and leaned her lower jaw on her arms as support polls, overwhelmingly bothered by the matter.

*****

Shee Bah had not idea about how her new music album was performing. Did she even care about it? Not at all. Having decided to start living a new lifestyle, quit music and focus on being a committed house wife, she felt no need to care about music anymore. She had left that direction for her superstar husband, Madrat.

After all, she had worked so hard to reach greater heights in her music career and all in vain.

Torching into it, she had only gained a small name for herself, whereby she is paid as an opening under dog for big artists in the music industry _ booked as a curtain raiser, a backup artist, and more so, a night bar singer. Which is not what satisfied her.

*****

Since Shee Bah spent the whole night up on her feet, her eyelids were heavy. She yawned, struggling to keep her eyes open. She could not keep in the garage anymore and decided to walk upstairs, direct to bed.

Shee Bah was deeply asleep, terribly snoring when Madrat returned home at 9am. As a man who cares deeply for his wife, he gave her a gentle treatment, a peck on her cheek and covered her in a more comfortable way, properly.

While looking at her closely with a sorry face, his mind spoke:

"This deep sleep, you might have waited for me till late. How would I have returned to you in such a wasted state I put myself into: sad, worriedly boozed as hell _ just to bother your peace of mind with my own insecurities!"

He sighed deep with in:

"I don't know if you know yet, but the grass you've watered for year, is finally green. Your album has started to sweep the world off its feet. I'm so worried. I'm scared the spotlight may contaminate our relationship and take you away from me!"

Madrat was an artist who discovered that the limelight was not such a glowing experience especially when privacy is being invaded.

In extreme wary, he sighed a quiet voice:

"Am sorry, my love Shee Bah."

In a bedroom chair he dropped down tiredly and leaned his head back to relax _ in a heap of thoughts. Not until she wakes up, he had to wait patiently so he can have a word with her. However, his wife too slept off haunted by a mistake she had carelessily made. She knew that she had a case to answer as soon as her husband returns.

It's only heavens that knew the result when both come to a confrontation.

It was longer, after some good hours, when Shee Bah yawned and stretch out of sleep. Only for her to see her husband sleeping in the chair. Time check from her phone was midday. Instinctively, perhaps with small sounds made when she was stepping out of bed in her hard girl outfits, Madrat woke up too on a sudden.

With offensive eyes, she apologized:

"Sorry, didn't mean to disturb your sleep."

Wearing a sorry piercing intensity on his face, Madrat got up on his feet, curious.

"Wait! Because of my absentia, you chose to sleep in tight jeans with a leather jacket on?"

He felt more guilt for her night dress code and asked:

"Forgive me for letting you down. You might have called when am not picking... I forgot my phone in the SUV... and I...."

Watching him talking back to back like a running radio cassette, Shee Bah lifted a finger and touched his mouth hissing:

"Shhhh!"

....ordering him to stop. She added humbly:

"I, actually want, to tell you something really important."

Having guilt for sleeping with another woman behind her back, and the torment from his wife's music album which was gaining trend, Madrat obviously knew his wife's behavior was 100% his fault and perhaps, it's why she called for a dialogue. However, as for Shee Bah who had started to put her marriage first, him cheating was not a major problem at the moment.

Abruptly Shee Bah spoke in his face:

"I met my ex boyfriend."

This was nothing but a breathe taking shock to Madrat .

"What?"

Heart racing at a high rate, he rotated around in puzzles for a second and added:

"Alright, I admit messing up lately! I got you question our love. But did you really have to punish me with cheating?!"

"Come on, I didn't cheat on you!"

"What need was it for you to meet you ex if not sleeping with him to punish me?"

Shee Bah couldn't believe Madrat's level of distrust:

"Are you serious right now?"

"I just need clarity, that's all!"

She clarified:

"Of course! Why do I have to cheat? Besides, I'm carrying our baby in my womb!"

Madrat found himself sitting down on bed to relax more from this exhaustion. If his wife becoming a famous celebrity shivers him to the bone, drinks him to a waste, how about knowing that another man got access to his pot of gold?

"Uh, okay!"
