Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Extra Skill, Aberrant Steal.

Before long, Alex's swimming posture became much more standard; at least it wasn't as funny anymore.

"You still need to practice a lot!" Furina patted Alex proudly, then spotted a Sealhusky Aberrant nearby—a cute blue Crab.

Furina's eyes began to gleam. The little Crab was so cute! Let's grab it while it's not looking.

Heave-ho, Furina hugged the entire Crab to her chest.

The Crab's little legs thrashed wildly below, swinging Furina from side to side, but it couldn't shake her off.

"Hahaha." Playing with these small animals was indeed the happiest thing.

Meanwhile, when Alex saw this familiar Crab, his phone suddenly popped out by itself.

Alex then opened his phone and looked at the flashing quest icon.

??? I remember when I checked the quests last night, there was nothing, it was empty.

First Encounter with a Sealhusky Aberrant:

Even for a god, skills are difficult to use underwater. But we can borrow the power of Sealhusky Aberrants to protect ourselves underwater.

Reward: Extra Skill, Aberrant Steal.

Alex quickly opened the skill description.

Aberrant Steal: Based on the type of target stolen from, gain temporary special skills and enhance abilities. All skills automatically disappear when leaving the water or moving more than one thousand meters from the stolen target.

Aberrant Ray: Quickly fire two water blades, dealing a large amount of True DMG. When charged, the water blades increase in size and decrease in speed, increasing the DMG dealt.

Aberrant Crab: Gain a shield and automatically reflect attacks, dealing three times the shield amount as DMG. When charged, self and teammates gain a shield, and the reflected DMG is five times the total shield amount.

Sealhusky Aberrant: Continuously fire sonic bubbles, dealing True Aftertaste DMG. Aftertaste (When continuously hitting a target, the next bubble deals an additional fifty percent of the previous bubble's True DMG.) Aftertaste can apply up to ten times consecutively; the count resets upon disconnection.

Aberrant Jellyfish: Fire a spinning large water ball. The water ball attracts surrounding enemies and explodes after moving a certain distance, dealing a large amount of True Explosion DMG.

Good, good, good.

After reading these skills, Alex only had one word: Awesome!

From now on, the sea is my home. Isn't this stronger than his current Summoner class?

On land, his Level 2 self was so weak; the small water ball he summoned was only slightly larger than the Level 1 one.

He still had to rely on himself and Furina's signature weapon to fight monsters back and forth.

"Gurgle gurgle!" Alex quickly swam to the Aberrant Crab's side and also gave it a hug.

The Crab, which had just been thrashing its eight legs, was now sandwiched between the two, like a burger patty.

So the Crab gave up struggling, became motionless, and started playing dead… After touching the Crab, Alex casually released a charged skill.

Instantly, blue halos appeared around Alex and Furina's bodies.

Furina was surprised and asked, "What is this?"

"It's a Crab skill I stole!" Alex instinctively replied, forgetting he couldn't speak underwater. But after speaking, he suddenly realized, "I can talk too?!!!"

Alex was puzzled and deactivated the skill: "Gurgle uh-oh."

"So that's it! This Crab's skill is too useful; the shield it generates allows me to speak underwater! Hehe."

"Is that so…?" Furina looked at the surrounding shield and then at Alex in surprise.

This guy is pretty amazing too. Furina nodded in satisfaction.

Thus, Alex and Furina began to explore underwater.

They even encountered a mechanical fish that actively attacked them, but when it crashed into them, it immediately flipped onto its belly, motionless. Alex gained +50 EXP.

Alex also tried the Sealhusky Aberrant's skill; the effect was mediocre. He couldn't move while using the bubbles, and moving easily broke the combo. Once the combo broke, the DMG was negligible. Monsters that were instantly killed by the Crab's reflection took two or three bubble hits.

When they first encountered the Sealhusky Aberrant, it swam incredibly fast. But Furina was agile, and the Sealhusky Aberrant was ridden by Furina after only a few circles.

They also encountered an Aberrant Jellyfish, but its skill had a mediocre effect, as there were few fish schools active around. Otherwise, it would be quite powerful as a deep-sea bomb.

But for usefulness, the Aberrant Ray's skill, which they encountered last, was the best. This creature also let Furina hug it casually; it was quite docile. These Aberrants didn't attack humans.

Swish, swish, swish, countless water blades flew by.

At the same time, countless fish flipped onto their bellies.

Countless numbers like +5, +10, +20 floated before Alex's eyes.

"Gurgle!!" Alex was happy. Although the Ray's skill didn't allow him to speak underwater like the Crab's, the EXP surged with every water blade.

He was also glad that killing fish gave EXP; it was practically free.

In such a short time, Alex was already Level 5.

Furina, however, couldn't see Alex's rapidly increasing EXP. She only saw him rapidly hunting a huge number of fish.

The massive pile of dead fish before them was the evidence!

Was he stimulated by something? Why was he so happy just killing fish?!!
