"How and when did you meet my cousin?"
"I- um."
Everytime I tried to form words in my mouth they came out as nothing but jumbled phrases and noises, I couldn't answer him even if I wanted to, he was staring at me looking as if he wanted to kill me.
"Akio!!!"
Yamada grabbed his arm and started to shake him, the effort was as futile as trying to push a boulder, Himura just took it and looked down at his cousin who was a solid one and a half feet shorter than him.
"You're scaring him, don't you see he's stumbling all over his words?"
"It's not like I'm doing it on purpose."
"I know, but try talking to him in a way that doesn't sound like you're interrogating him, not to mention you look angry when you frown."
Himura shook off his cousin, and tried speaking to me again.
"Sorry if I scare you, when I'm formal I tend to be for some reason, but anyways she's my cousin and all and apparently you're the first friend she has made since she has gotten here, so thank you."
So she had gone out of her way to tell him that we were friends, even though I didn't really consider us that yet, that was quite bold of her considering we met not even 2 days ago.
"Y-your welcome, yesterday me and her exchanged informational cards about ourselves, that's how we met."
"How, interesting."
He spoke too plain for my liking, but honestly him talking plainly instead of using his passive-aggressive formality made me fear much less for my life.
"So I heard she was going to visit you on Saturday, right?"
"That's right."
"Was that something you both agreed to, or did she pressure you into accepting her into your home?"
"We both agreed on it, she wanted to see my game console that I have."
"I see, sorry if my cousin has been bothersome she tends to be the same with me all the time, and her friends from her previous school, she has too much energy than most people would like to deal with."
Yamada scoffed, and crossed her arms.
"I'm not deaf, I can hear you idiot."
Having a discussion with Yamada's cousin for any longer was less than ideal. My classes would start soon and I didn't want to be late, and so I bowed to him.
"S-sorry i need to head to class."
Himura, despite his earlier demeanor, looked a little sad that he couldn't keep talking to me, he put out his hand and looked directly into my eyes, and kept his hand out utterly confusing me before I realized what he was doing.
"Oh- yeah sorry."
I didn't realize that he wanted to shake my hand until after I had left him hanging for a good 7 seconds
"May we meet again Sato, It was nice talking to you."
"Likewise."
I hurried to my first period. I had about 2 minutes until class started and I didn't want to be late when I felt a buzzing in my pocket, most likely a notification from my phone, I could check it later. I didn't have the time to right now.

When it came to how I did in my classes, I did alright, my grades weren't "the top of my class", but today I did exceptionally awful in almost every subject leading up to lunch, I was more exhausted by yesterday than I thought, I stood up from my desk and exited the classroom as soon as the bell rung, walking with my bento wrapped in my arms like a newborn child to the outside of my school, the outer courtyard was as pristine as ever, In the middle of a the courtyard stood a fountain which had quite the history, apparently it is older than the school itself, the top of the fountain had a statue of a Fox on it, beautifully carved out of marble.
Of course I wasn't going to eat by the fountain, it was too large of a hotspot for people to hang out and eat at during lunch, So I picked the corner of the courtyard to the left of the gate to sit at, the corner had a large oak tree, a rare sight here in Japan because this particular oak usually grew in north America, how do I know this much about my school you may ask? I have a life outside of video games and school you know, I like to actually do my research from time to time.
I suddenly remembered about the notification I got in the morning, and pulled my phone out of my pocket. It was none other than Yamada who decided to text me right as I was walking away.
Yamada Hana : [Oi Sato, do you have any other friends?]
That's a strange question considering that I do in fact have no other friends, if you even considered my non consensual friendship with Yamada But I didn't mind it that much even if i didn't ask for a friend.
I tried to quickly type a message back, but my fingers working frustratingly slower than their usual speed, good god I was tired.
Sato Masaichi : [No.]
As soon as I sent that message, not even 10 seconds later did I see she was already replying to my message, I put my hand to my temple, guess I wasn't going to be able to nap for a bit.
Yamada Hana : [Same, I just moved here not too long ago as I said before, So not having any friends felt quite lonely.]
Sato Masaichi : [I haven't really had too many friends growing up, most of the friends I had were online.]
Yamada Hana : [I have online friends too, too many infact, but I do play with a specific one a lot from time to time.]
Huh, interesting, I didn't really want to pry into her social life even if it was online, but I still wondered who this mystery friend was.
Sato Masaichi : [Lets talk about tomorrow.]
Yamada Hana : [What about it? Didn't we agree to meet at 11:30?]
Sato Masaichi : [Yeah but that's not the problem, my mother is gone during Saturdays to meet with my father, he's a part of the self defense force and has to live close to base.]
Yamada Hana : [Ok how is that a problem?]
Sato Masaichi : [I need to ask my mother if its ok if you can visit tomorrow]
Yamada Hana : [Why do you need permission, it's not like im a complete stranger]
Sato Masaichi : [Im a guy, and you are a girl, I'm not sure if my mother is going to be pleased with the idea of us being alone and unsupervised]
Yamada Hana : [Tell her not to worry, and that if you try anything perverted I will beat your ass.]
Sato Masaichi : [You are a strange one, miss.]
Yamada Hana : [I know you are but what am I?]
Honestly using grade school insults was just in character for her, honestly I wouldn't expect anything different from that.
Yamada Hana : [Can I tell you something?]
Sato Masaichi : [Uh yeah, sure.]
Yamada Hana : [You remind me of someone I know.]
Eh? Alright, that's random.
Sato Masaichi : [Who?]
Yamada Hana : [No idea, don't worry about it.]
Sato Masaichi : [Ok..?]

School was over, I was walking back home when I decided to ask my mother If yamada could visit.
Sato Sarah: [You're asking me If a girl can visit our house, my my Masaichi you are a bold one.]
Ughhhh, I really wish my conscience didn't want to ask her first.
Sato Masaichi : [Well I mean yeah basically, I understand if you wouldn't allow it but I don't really have any friends and I think this would be a better way to get to know her.]
Sato Sarah : [She can come and visit on one condition.]
Sato Masaichi : [Yeah what is it?]
Sato Sarah : [I want you and I to visit the Yamada house some time.]
That's very uncharacteristic of my mother, to want to visit other people.
Sato Masaichi : [Do you really think we are dating, I told you we were just friends.]
Sato Sarah : [Is that a yes or a no?]
Sato Masaichi : [I mean I can ask her some day I guess, just not now.]
Sato Sarah : [Thats good enough, have fun with your date!]
Sato Masaichi : [Oh my lord.]
I turned off my phone and just ignored her, she was obviously trying to get a rise out of me.
