Chapter 8 - [LOU] 8: The Holy War!

"Your Majesty."

Pandora awkwardly shifted the topic again, asking, "Do you plan to participate in the Holy War?"

"The Holy War!"

"Given the current situation."

"If I don't get involved."

"It'd be unacceptable."

Alistair leaned back on his divine throne, feeling uncomfortable.

He stood, snapped his fingers, and the throne transformed into a soft, large sofa.

Sitting back down, feeling the sofa's comfort, he squinted slightly, seemingly deep in thought.

Persephone, watching this, walked over and leaned against the sofa.

As Alistair pondered, he felt the fragrance beside him and casually wrapped an arm around Persephone's waist.

The sensation was remarkable!

Then.

His hand naturally climbed higher.

Hmm~~~

Playing ball while thinking.

Alistair had no intention of suppressing his desires.

As the God of Darkness, he should unleash and control his desires.

To this scene.

Pandora and Ker showed no reaction. As gods who had lived for countless ages, this was trivial.

And while Persephone was pristine, in the Greek pantheon?

No big deal.

After a moment.

Alistair opened his eyes, saying with interest, "The Holy War is a must, but with the Underworld's current state, jumping in recklessly is a guaranteed loss."

"Even if I step out, it's the same."

"No!"

"If I really step out, the Underworld would almost certainly fall. We'd become everyone's target."

Alistair was certain of this.

No joke.

What was his identity?

666!

As the God of Darkness, he represented all darkness.

In other words.

Alistair's potential was terrifyingly high, starting at a level comparable to the absolute god Chaos.

But now, he was still very weak. If someone captured him, devoured him, or took his place.

Even Zeus.

If he could do it, he'd unhesitatingly become the God of Darkness.

"This..."

Pandora hesitated slightly, saying, "Indeed, Your Majesty. If you're exposed, the entire world would target us."

"Speaking of which."

Alistair asked curiously, "I'm curious about something. In this world, it seems all mythologies converge here. What's up with that?"

"That's not quite right."

Ker shook her head, explaining, "Your Majesty, every absolute god creates a mythology."

"Each absolute god creates countless universes."

"The universe we're in."

"Was created by Chaos, from the mythical era to now."

"But!"

"Other pantheons' gods are essentially projections or embodiments of divine power."

"If they get the chance, their true forms descend to seize the earth."

"If not, they stay hidden."

"I see."

Ker's explanation made Alistair nod in understanding.

That made sense.

What a troubled world!

No wonder it's the source world of [Saint Seiya].

Alistair didn't dwell on it too much, instead pondering something else.

"Speaking of which..."

"How will this source world develop next?"

"The path of Ω?"

"The path of Next Dimension?"

Alistair mused on the source world's development direction.

Of course.

In his view, neither might be the true path.

Ω or Next Dimension.

In Alistair's mind, they were probably parallel universes, not the normal historical progression.

"Your Majesty!"

Ker spoke softly, "The Holy War just ended. I can go to the earth to gather a group of qualified Specters to help you in this Holy War."

"Hm?"

Alistair was taken aback, asking curiously, "After the Holy War ends, can't you immediately collect the divine artifacts birthed by the earth? Isn't the Holy War over?"

Ker shook her head, explaining, "Your Majesty, it's not like that. The Holy War every 243 years is actually offset by two years, so it's 245 years."

"Got it."

Alistair nodded.

In short.

Everyone's afraid of someone stealing the prize.

While they're fighting fiercely, someone could sneak in and take the divine artifacts.

That'd be awkward.

A two-year gap makes things simpler.

But.

Alistair rejected Ker's proposal, saying, "There's no point. Randomly picking Specters is meaningless."

"Pegasus, Phoenix, Dragon, Cygnus, Andromeda."

"They've all awakened their God Cloths and fully burned their Cosmo to the peak of the Eighth Sense."

"Plus."

"With the Underworld's collapse, the sealed Saints' souls have all been released."

"As long as Athena wishes, she can revive them easily."

"Random Specters are utterly meaningless."

Alistair wasn't interested, focusing more on how to advance further through the Dimensional Star Chart.

Theoretically.

With the star chart, he could grow limitlessly. As long as he played it safe, the future was his.

But!

The earth was right there. To obtain resources comparable to its divine artifacts?

That might take a lot of time.

Greed!

Alistair was greedy for the earth's divine artifacts and wanted them badly.

"Persephone."

He suddenly turned to her, saying, "How about becoming the Lord of the Underworld?"
