Chapter 17 - Fatal compatability

The door closed behind them with a soft click.

Dr. Elias swallowed hard. "I know how this looks.."

"It looks like you violated my medical autonomy to satisfy your scientific curiosity and his possessive instincts," Levi said flatly.

'Story of my life'. 

"So, what did you find?"

"Your fertility markers are... optimal," Dr. Elias admitted reluctantly. "Enhanced, even. Your body has adapted to Type B alpha pheromones in ways that would make conception highly likely."

Levi rolled his eyes, feeling something cold settle in his chest. "Anything else I should know about my own body?"

"There are risks, that's if you don't already know" Dr. Elias said quietly. "Type B alpha pregnancies are... complicated. The gestational period is compressed. It's only four and a half months instead of the normal nine. The accelerated development puts enormous strain on the omega's system."

"How enormous?"
