Near the convoy, Garrosh, having just taken command, was inevitably a bit flustered. Fortunately, under Gale's spell attacks, the Trolls found it difficult to launch a large-scale charge. This gave Garrosh time to adapt, and after a few minutes, Garrosh's command became much smoother.
"Rangers, attack the Troll squad ahead and disrupt their formation."
"Priests, assist the guards in clearing out the Trolls…"
Among the crowd, only a few people were not under Garrosh's command. Two of them were Navoli and Draksa.
They were specifically protecting Gale, preventing Trolls from getting close to him. When the Troll Leader threw his spear just now, both of them were greatly startled. They only breathed a sigh of relief after seeing Gale escape danger.
Draksa directly jumped onto the roof of the carriage and stood beside Gale. He held up his shield and looked around. If any more Trolls attacked Gale, he would block them, even if it cost him his life.
Navoli, on the other hand, set his sights on the Troll Leader, but reaching the Troll Leader required crossing a battlefield. Although Navoli was skilled, it was his first time on a battlefield, so he was somewhat nervous.
So, by the time he helped the guards clear out the Trolls blocking his way, he just happened to catch Maiev taking down a group of Trolls.
Nasa also led her team back and, seeing the Troll Witch Doctor on the periphery, immediately launched an attack.
Maiev pointed her Moon Glaives at the Troll Leader, intending to take him down.
At this moment, Gale's voice came, "Maiev, Nasa is attacking the Troll Witch Doctor. She needs your help."
Maiev was decisive and instantly vanished with a blink.
The Troll Leader, who had thought he was about to die, immediately breathed a sigh of relief when Maiev left.
Ravencrest frowned slightly. Although he didn't know why Maiev left, he knew she must have gone to a more important place. However, facing the Troll Leader alone was a bit much to ask!
Navoli moved to the side of the Troll Leader, "Captain, I'll help you deal with this big guy."
Ravencrest looked at Navoli's not-so-strong body, feeling a little helpless. However, Navoli was the only one who could help, and he had no other choice.
"Let's go together!"
The Troll Leader grinned widely. In his opinion, these two Kaldorei were no match for him at all.
Just as he was getting carried away, a fireball whizzed in and smashed into his head.
"Boom—"
The fireball exploded, knocking him to the ground. Half of his face was burned by the fireball, and he roared in pain.
Ravencrest's eyes lit up, and he immediately pounced forward, wanting to deliver a finishing blow to the Troll Leader. The Troll Leader struggled in agony, flailing his arms wildly, and actually swept Ravencrest away.
"Damn Mage, I'll never forgive you!"
The Troll Leader propped himself up with his greatsword, trying to get up and seek revenge on Gale.
Just then, Navoli sprang into action. He quickly charged at the Troll Leader, leaped onto his back, and plunged a reverse-held Sanction Blade into the Troll Leader's chest.
"You're looking for death!"
The Troll Leader ripped Navoli off him and threw him to the ground. He raised his greatsword high and brutally thrust it down.
Navoli wanted to dodge, but the pain of broken bones made him unable to move.
At this critical moment, Ravencrest rushed over and knocked the Troll Leader to the ground. He straddled the Troll Leader, pressed the Sanction Blade against the Troll Leader's neck, and forcefully plunged it in.
The Troll Leader clawed wildly with his hands, but he had no strength to push Ravencrest away.
After the Troll Leader stopped breathing, Ravencrest finally stood up and walked to Navoli, "How are you?"
"It hurts—" Navoli grimaced, letting out a groan.
"Looks like you need healing," Ravencrest said with a smile. "I have good news and bad news. The good news is there are plenty of Priests here. The bad news is they aren't very good at healing."
Navoli's groans were his only response.
The scouts led by Nasa were not skilled in frontal combat. After several attacks, they still couldn't do anything about the Troll Witch Doctor. Nasa could only temporarily abandon the attack and surrounded the Troll Witch Doctor to prevent him from escaping.
The Troll Witch Doctor scanned the area with a sneer and walked out of the encirclement without hesitation. Among these Kaldorei females, only the one riding a Night Saber posed a threat to him, but it was just a threat.
Nasa frowned. She had no choice but to stand in front of the Troll Witch Doctor, blocking his path.
The Troll Witch Doctor pointed a finger, and Nasa, along with her Night Saber, were transformed into two frogs, hopping anxiously on the ground. The Troll Witch Doctor walked over, raised his staff, and thrust it at one of the frogs.
"Swish!"
A flash of light blocked the staff, and a clear, cold voice sounded behind him, "Are you looking for death, Witch Doctor!"
The Troll Witch Doctor turned around, and a Moon Glaive slashed across his neck. His powerful regeneration prevented him from dying so quickly. He saw the "killer" who had slain him, a Kaldorei female wearing an iron mask.
Maiev kicked away the Troll Witch Doctor's corpse and cast a purification spell on the two frogs.
Nasa and the Night Saber returned to their original forms, "Sister Maiev, you came just in time!"
Maiev also felt fortunate in her heart. If Gale hadn't told her to come, Nasa might have already died.
The two were like sisters. In the history of Warcraft, Maiev's relentless pursuit of Illidan was partly due to her personality, and partly because Tyrande had killed many Wardens. When Nasa died in the Tomb of Sargeras, she wished she could personally kill Illidan, even going so far as to lie to Malfurion that Tyrande was dead, just to attack Illidan first instead of rescuing Tyrande.
The battle near the convoy also drew to a close. With the Troll Leader dead, the Trolls lost all will to fight and turned to flee.
Garrosh commanded the guards to pursue for a distance, then returned to the convoy to prevent any more Trolls from taking the opportunity to attack.
Gale also had no intention of exterminating the Trolls. He was more interested in figuring out the origin of these Trolls.
The Priests collected the bodies and treated the wounded. The guards captured prisoners, interrogating the surviving Trolls separately. Although both the Troll Witch Doctor and the Leader were dead, the guards still managed to extract some useful information.
These Trolls were a branch of the Evilbranch tribe, commanded by the Evilbranch tribal chief, and had infiltrated near Jarvik along the river. They then received mysterious guidance, evaded the Vrykul's notice, and attacked Sin'dorei's logistics team.
This attack was also carried out under mysterious guidance, setting an ambush in the Crimson Forest. However, they didn't expect that not only did they fail to intercept supplies, but they almost suffered a complete defeat.
Mysterious guidance? Gale couldn't help but sneer when he saw this phrase.
Feigning divinity has always been the style of Mages. Medivh led the Orcs into Azeroth, and ten thousand years ago, Kaldorei Mages also helped Trolls fight their own kind.
