Chapter 41 - Conditioning

"Now you guys know your teammates. We are moving from phase 1 to 2. In phase 1, we were testing your steady income level; now we move into making you an operative..." The class didn't like that at all, not one bit, because if they were running until Vladimir got tired, they might drop dead before they 'became operatives.'

Nova raised her hand. "And how will we become operatives..." Vladimir laughed at this question; it was a great question, and he loved it. "At 6 AM, you will have breakfast. 7 AM, you will have a break until 8, and at 8, you will run; then at 10 AM, you will have a film review and classroom analysis of how you did in either a mission or a simulation. Following so far?" The class looked disillusioned as he said this; it was like seeing a kid in front of a massive bag of sweets.

"Good." He said, despite having no real answer, groaning, "Then from 10 till 1 we will have combat simulations, then lunch and your break until 2." He laughed; he was enjoying himself too much. "At 2 we pick back up, a gym session until 4 and from 4 to 6 we have conditioning. Then you finally get to go back to your rooms..." The whole class was disturbed as he rattled off hell.

"Instructor... I don't mean to be that guy, but we are doing it every day?" Vladimir nodded in pure excitement, and as the days blended into weeks and then the month was over... It was hell; 5 days a week was inhumane, and whenever Vladimir felt like it, he dragged them back on Sundays, and when the whole class couldn't keep up, he made them do seven days, but only once. By the end of the month, Kairo felt like quitting, but he was quicker and much stronger. Everyone was stronger, but at the end of the day, none of them was as strong as Sabir.
