Chapter 35 - Chapter 34 Encouragement

Throughout The Flash TV series, the Speed Force always seemed to adhere to physical laws and reality, yet often, erratically, it would completely disregard all physical laws. In the TV show, it was just for entertainment and didn't require deep analysis, as anyone looking for reality in a virtual world must have something wrong with their head.

However, crossing over into this world is different. This world will always give you a reasonable explanation, no matter how far-fetched, and you must accept it, because that is reality.

Lin Li was fortunate enough to have been carried by two people using the Speed Force, and he even experienced the Speed Force mode for 2-3 seconds.

Based on his experience and understanding, he found that when a speedster runs, their cells emit the Speed Force, forming a Speed Force Field. This field is similar to the Biological Force Field Lin Li developed, except this one is a field manifested by the Speed Force.

The Speed Force Field protects speedsters, which is why speedsters are always enveloped in swirling electric currents, like the yellow arcs Barry generates and the red arcs Wells generates; these are all the Speed Force Field at work.

Speedsters rely on the Speed Force for high-speed movement. Although they can move at high speeds, they do not possess corresponding physical kinetic energy. Or rather, all physical kinetic energy manifested on a speedster is converted into a form of speed energy, or 'speed-power,' within the Speed Force Field. Pure speed-power allows speedsters to run faster without increasing any physical kinetic energy, as it is all converted into speed-power. This speed-power, formed by various movements, has some semblance of other physical kinetic energies, but for the most part, it is not.

It is also because of the existence of this converted speed-power that the scenario of using speed to throw a rock, with the rock accelerating to create kinetic energy that instantly kills anyone, does not exist. The Speed Force creates super-fast speeds, and under Speed Force contact, there is only speed-power generated by pure speed, not applicable to other physical laws. It can collect kinetic energy and convert it into speed-power, but speed-power cannot be completely converted back into kinetic energy.

Simply put, the Speed Force is almost completely independent and has little relation to the other four fundamental forces, at least not as much as imagined.

Lin Li sat cross-legged on the ground, looking at his tablet, meticulously developing theories and pondering. He didn't know if he was right; he could only speculate based on The Flash TV series and his current scientific knowledge.

"Alas, no wonder forums always say the Speed Force all physical laws," Lin Li sighed inwardly.

He scratched his head, his brow furrowed deeply into a 'Chuan' character.

He needed to thoroughly understand what the Speed Force was all about. This power made him uneasy, especially the Speed Force enveloping his head. No matter how he thought about it, it shouldn't be possible for it to be in his head. Even if it was, it should have been almost consumed and disappeared. Now, as soon as Barry starts running, the tiny bit of remaining Speed Force recovers to its original state. What is going on?

Unexplainable, incomprehensible.

Perhaps it would be better to ask the Speed Force directly. After all, in Season 2, Barry had the experience of entering the Speed Force and talking to its avatar. Maybe he could also talk to the Speed Force and tell it to get out of his head.

Lin Li rubbed his face heavily, let out a frustrated sigh, and swiped through Barry's information on the tablet. He opened the dynamics archive and continued studying. Since the Speed Force was unclear for now, he would leave it. He would see if he could get some information from Dr. Wells later.

Lin Li continued his studies.

Cisco was monitoring in the control room.

Caitlin was researching in Surgery.

Wells was pondering over future newspapers in the Time Vault.

Joe and Eddie were searching for Mardon's whereabouts.

Barry ran aimlessly, stopping and starting, unsure where he was going. He felt a bit lost until evening when he remembered someone and ran towards the highway.

"This is my story. I never thought that I, who spent my entire life searching for miracles, would become one myself."

Star City, countless skyscrapers, offices brightly lit, streets bustling with traffic.

On a rooftop surrounded by towering buildings.

Barry spoke to him.

Oliver Queen, wearing a green hooded outfit and holding a bow and arrow.

Oliver Queen faced Barry and said, "So you ran over 600 miles just to say hello to a friend and talk about your friend who is a transmigrator?"

"No, Oliver, I want to protect my city like you, fight criminals. You are someone I look up to. Before, I had no abilities, now I do, but when I face a real enemy, I am completely helpless, beaten to a pulp. Perhaps Joe was right, I'm just fantasizing about being a hero, a beautiful fantasy."

Barry said dejectedly. Joe's words had unsettled him, and he was doubting himself.

"You're also doubting yourself, Barry. Everyone needs to grow. This ability chose you, why not someone else? Because you have a unique quality that inspires and motivates everyone," Oliver Queen said. Barry and he were different types of people, but they shared the same goal.

Barry shook his head and said, "Oliver, I'm not sure if I can really be a vigilante like you."

"Barry, you can do even better. You can protect your city like a guardian angel.

"Change that city, save the people, like The Flash."

"I believe in you, and you need to believe in yourself."

"Remember, like you taught me, wear a mask."

After speaking, Oliver Queen smiled and put on his eye mask.

Then he leaped down, and an arrow shot onto a tall building across the street. The rope tied to the arrow's tail allowed him to swing between the skyscrapers.

Oliver Queen's smile greatly encouraged Barry, helping him regain his lost confidence.

Barry looked at the swinging Green Arrow and said admiringly,

"Cool."

That expressed his approval of Green Arrow's actions and his own inner admiration for him.

The Green Arrow, also hanging from a tall building, looked at a rapidly moving yellow blur and uttered the same word.

"Cool."

That was an appreciation for having abilities and being willing to protect one's city.

Barry admired Green Arrow's act of protecting the city.

Green Arrow admired Barry's will to protect the city.

Barry was like a newborn child, learning how to protect the city.

A few days later, Barry still wore his red suit, zipping through the streets and alleys of Central City, still at odds with Joe.

Marden seemed to have vanished without a trace.

Lin Li could only hold his tablet and continue learning various knowledge.

.....

Jack, a very common name. There are probably hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people with this name. He was a small-time thug in the city, not daring to commit major crimes but constantly engaged in petty theft.

Long-term drug use had left his face gaunt; at thirty, he looked like an old man of fifty or sixty, with drooping dark eyelids.

"Damn cops, made me lose my 'stash.' Next time, I'll bring a gun and shoot all of you."

He shivered, his nose constantly sniffing. The drug addiction was kicking in. Today, when he was buying his 'stash,' the police had unexpectedly arrived at the bar for an inspection. Fortunately, he quickly threw away the 'stash' and avoided jail, but his luck was bad; that little bit of 'stash' was washed away in the sewer, nowhere to be found.

Jack's trembling hand opened the door. He lived in a messy apartment basement, a place his aunt had given him out of pity.

The room was a chaotic environment, with clothes, condoms, and fast-food containers strewn everywhere.

He turned on the light, and a person was sitting in the room, waiting for him.

"Clyde Mardon."
