Chapter 3 - Reincarnation Cycle

The blinding crimson light dwindled slowly and then faded into nothingness.

I was right. His really don't have any karma, Ager mused. The suffering he suffered was intense, particularly as a human, but not enough to make him neutral in his karma. There are many beings in this infinite cosmos who have suffered even more.

"Boy, in what type of planet do you want to reincarnate?" Ager said carefully; this time no exasperation.

"I can reincarnate you where you want. But even I am limited to only this multiverse. So think carefully."

Multiverse? Aeris was confused because he haven't heard such fancy terms.

"I wanted to live in heaven. I don't want to return there—in hell."

"What do you think you are? I was talking to you in such a good manner, even giving you the opportunity to select where you want to reincarnate. Yet, you are demanding things here. Hear me carefully."

Ager closed his eyes for a second and took a deep breath; it's just an action. He doesn't survive on air like us. Don't misunderstand.

Taking a deep breath, it was looking like he was controlling his immense anger burning inside him.

"In the Void of Nothingness, souls face their karma. Heaven and Hell—where they will go after death depends on only one thing: karma. If they have done good deeds, they will get heaven, and if they have done sins, it will be hell. You might know about it already. But the reincarnation cycle doesn't start here. Think of karma like money. If you have done sins, it will be a debt on you, and if you have done the opposite, that money is yours."

Aeris was hearing his class lecture quietly like a good boy. But his teacher, Ager, was grimacing with irritation, like he didn't like the way Aeris was hearing.

Ager is right at his place, as he is already annoyed with Aeris, but he has to bear him to fulfill his duties.

That's what it truly means to maintain order at the universal level.

Ager continues after a little pause.

"Money or karma. In this void, forcefully, you have to spend your money enjoying it or paying the debt back, suffering."

"When you spend all your money or pay the debt completely, you will have zero karma. It's when the reincarnation cycle starts again. When you have zero karma, it also means that you have no memories, and your soul is purified. That's why you don't remember your past life after being reborn. I reincarnate such a soul in any random universe or planet."

Ager sighed a little and continued his long lecture again.

"But you are different. When you were reincarnated last time, you had zero karma, like all souls at reincarnation. But the main problem starts from here. Every soul earns karma. Even a little child who was born a day ago has little karma. But you don't have any. It's almost unbelievable. It's only possible when you make no emotional interaction with others. Even a child has his mother. But your mind never made such interactions. Having an account of karma is a fundamental definition of mortals that you broke in front of him. Also, you have memories with zero karma; you will never forget these ones even after reincarnation."

Maybe zero karma is the reason that his soul bore my presence for more than 2 minutes, Ager thought. He even directly came in contact with my eye, the 'Eye of Reincarnation.' That's impossible for a mortal.

"I don't think all that I said fit in your little brain. Now let me repeat my question again: what type of planet do you want to live in?"

"Why are my legs in pain?" Aeris whispered to himself.

"Hey! Are you deaf?"

"Wait a second, I have a question to ask you. Still, is there a way remaining to be freed of this reincarnation cycle?. I don't want to be reborn, living these cursed lives. I am tired of all this."

"Stop irritating me, or I will kill you permanently. That way, you will be free. Just think of the type of world in your mind, and I will send you there."Don't say a word again, or it will be your last word!" Ager was really irritated with Aeris.

Something like this happens when peasants interfere with nobles, but Ager was truly far beyond the gods. Killing Aeris was not a big deal for him.

What type? What type of planet do you want? Aeris thought, talking to himself in his mind.

I should reincarnate somewhere where I can live in peace. No violence and fights. And more importantly, where I can eat four meals a day. I also want to have many beautiful wives, but at least one is enough for me. I want to touch their oranges. I also don't want to do office work...

"Who told you to think about what you want there? I only said what type you want," Ager shouted with anger in his voice.

"Think what type! Not that you want to touch someone's oranges. Like a magical world or normal."

"Okay, okay, let me think again."

I just want peace, so any type of world will be okay for me as long as I can live happily. I have already lived in magicless, which I think is the worst...

Aaahh! Why my head is paining suddenly this much.

Aaaaaahhhhh... My, my head will blast like this!

Feeling an unbearable pain in his head, he instantly lowered his head, and his hands reached to his forehead. He was pressing his head from both directions to resist this pain.

Shouting in pain. A continuous sound filled the Void.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh...."

"I was right; he can't bear me this long. He is only a mortal with no karma."

Ager was, like, in a hurry; his hands were no longer behind him, breaking his noble posture.

Just don't fall in the vastspace. Or...

Aeris lost his consciousness, falling down on... there was nothing there!

He is now going down infinitely!

That's what happened, and Ager was afraid of it.

"No! Not in my space."

The first time, a wave of panic surged through him. His forehead was sweating despite being a god.

But why?

Ager put his hand on his forehead in panic, a behavior that doesn't suit immortals.

"If he falls down in the right space, his soul will evolve in a neutrality. I have to stop this, or something unknown to Neutralities will emerge..."

Ager, who wasn't moved a bit from appearing, was rotating, circling around nothing. Moving in tension and panic.

Isn't this a bit much?

Ager stopped.

"I can't think another way. I have to summon him. But... him. I don't want to meet that monster again. But I don't have the time to think personally. It's his duty for this type of stuff."

"I have to collect all my energy at one point in my body."

He pressed his palms together, fingers trembling as though clasping the void itself. His voice dropped into a low chant, each syllable carrying the resonance of ancient rites.

"I, Neutrality of Nothingness… summon forth the Neutrality of Destruction—Rahi, the Destroyer."

Instantly, as the mantra ended, blood came out of his nose. Bleeding... Like only a summoning took all his energy. Who is this Rahi?

"I didn't remember the time we met last time, maybe a destructive year ago."

[1 destructive year is the time duration from the beginning to the end of a multiverse.]
