Saki stepped out from under the sliding metal door of the subway station entrance, cracked her knuckles, and said with a grin, "Alright, time to let loose. Pretending to be normal while following Jill was exhausting."
Then, a zombie stepped around the corner from the alley and slowly approached her. Saki just stared at it, unimpressed, as it shuffled closer and closer. She even looked down at her watch and began timing the creature, her expression flat with boredom. When it finally got close enough, she casually thrust her fist forward, obliterating it the moment her knuckles connected.
She sighed, her shoulders slumping. "I forgot how slow they are. Guess letting loose will have to wait until Nemesis gets back. Damn it."
With an annoyed shake of her head, she grabbed her bow back out of her inventory and made her way through the alley, where she swiftly shot and killed two more zombies. Stepping through the gate at the end, she ripped open the door of a nearby cop car and stabbed the zombie slumped in the passenger seat straight through the head.
Approaching the barricade that had four zombies pushing against it, she gripped it from her side and, with a smile tugging at her lips, shoved it forward until it toppled onto the undead. Standing on top of it triumphantly, she drew her bow and shot all four of them in the head one after the other.
Descending the stairs toward the donut shop, she spotted two more zombies lingering at the bottom. Without hesitation, she took them out, arrows striking true.
Inside the donut shop, she was about to make her way through to the exit when something caught her eye — the locker tucked away in the corner. She froze, remembering what was inside. A smirk formed as she walked over. Without hesitation, she grabbed the padlock and ripped it clean off. Opening the locker, she pulled out the grenade, twirled it once in her hand, and stowed it neatly in her inventory.
Heading back to the exit, she stepped into the street, bow already in hand. She loosed arrows into the two wandering zombies in the center of the street, then walked around a car and casually ended the one sitting in the driver's seat.
When she reached the gate bound shut with a thick yellow chain, she gripped it hard and ripped it off with ease. As she opened the gate, she pulled an arrow from her quiver and immediately drove it into the skull of the zombie playing dead on the ground beside her, ending it before it could rise.
Turning the corner, she spotted three zombies feasting at the end of the alley. She calmly raised her bow and picked them off, one after another.
Leaving the alley, she made her way toward the train station control center. Before going inside, however, she paused to shoot down two zombies lingering by the pharmacy. Only after clearing them did she finally enter the control center.
As she walked down the dim hallway, another zombie shambled out from around the corner, groaning as it reached for her. Without breaking stride, she drew and fired, the arrow piercing between its eyes. The corpse collapsed to the floor.
Her watch gave off a familiar ding. Lifting her wrist, she read the glowing display:

Saki tilted her head, thinking for a moment, then held up her watch. "Computer, do skills rank up?"
The watch beeped and answered, "Yes, Dexter."
Saki narrowed her eyes. "Then how do I rank up skills?"
The watch replied, "Skill rank is based on your knowledge of the particular skill. The skills you possess, such as Archery and Swordsmanship, remain at the basic level because your knowledge of the two skills remains at the beginner level. Only through further study can they be enhanced."
She groaned, dragging a hand down her face. "I should have known. So basically, unless I actually learn a proper form of archery, the skill won't go up. Oh well, nothing I can do about it for now. I'll have to see if there's anyone who can teach me how to properly use a bow later."
Shaking it off, she continued down the hall, scooped up the fire hose, and stored it in her inventory. She walked into the small locker room, ripped open every locker, and pocketed anything useful. Then, gripping the chains wrapped around the gun rack, she tore them away and pulled the shotgun free, storing it too.
Satisfied, she left the station control center and made her way back the way she came — through the donut shop, up the stairs, over the fallen barricade, and toward the fence pressed by six snarling zombies. With calm precision, she drew her hot dagger and stabbed each one through the fence until all six dropped dead.
Pushing through the gate that led into the flame-engulfed alley, she hooked the fire hose to the hydrant and blasted the fire out of existence.
Inside the garage storage area, she found the chained door. She ripped the chains off with one hand and entered, only to find a dying mercenary slumped against the wall. His voice trembled as he pleaded, "Please… please help me…"
Even without medical training, she could tell his wounds were fatal. Infection or not, he wasn't going to make it. Saki stepped forward, knelt down in front of him, and gently placed her hands on either side of his face. She gave him a warm, reassuring smile, her eyes softening as he visibly calmed under her touch.
Then, in one swift motion, she snapped his neck. His suffering ended instantly, his expression frozen in peace.
She whispered softly, "At least this way, your final memory wasn't one of your own comrades running toward you with his gun drawn."
Standing, she straightened her posture, her expression hardening once more. Without looking back, she made her way up the stairs and out through the exit.
Then Saki said with a grimace, "Damn, that sucked… but it had to be done. Poor guy." She lightly smacked her cheeks, shaking herself out of it, and forced a determined smile. "Alright, no moping. Let's get back to work. Nemesis could show up anytime, and we need to get stronger before he does. I'm pretty sure I could deal plenty of damage to him, but I currently don't have a way to kill him. Oh well… I'll start with his head and go from there."
As Saki walked down the alleys, she suddenly heard the sound of barking dogs. Her eyes narrowed. Sure enough, two rotting, zombified Dobermans came racing toward her. When the first one lunged, she pivoted on her heel and punted it skyward, sending it flying before it crashed to the ground in a bloody pulp. The second charged right after, and without hesitation, she brought her still-raised leg down, crushing its skull under her heel with a wet crunch.
That's when she heard someone gasp in awe, followed by a thick Russian accent whispering, "Incredible…"
A figure stepped around the corner, and as soon as Saki caught sight of him, she recognized him instantly — Nicholai Zinoviev. She glared at him with cold contempt, her eyes hard and sharp, while he looked at her almost reverently.
"Are you one of his experiments?" Nicholai asked in a hushed, almost worshipful tone. "Are you the new humanity he promised?"
Saki laughed coldly, the sound sharp as broken glass. In a blur of blinding speed, she raced forward and drove her fist straight through his chest, punching a hole where his heart used to be. As his eyes went wide in shock, she leaned close and whispered venomously, "I'm something he will never be able to create, no matter how long he tries. And Wesker—if you're somehow watching this from somewhere, and I hope you are—just know one day I'll be coming for you. Please do your best to provide a challenge when I get there."
She yanked her bloodied arm out of Nicholai's chest and flung his body into the distance, getting him as far out of sight as possible. Flicking the blood from her hand, she scoffed. "Honestly, I think the only person in Resident I hate more is Alex Wesker. Poor Natalia… I hope Tet does something for her."
---
Meanwhile, in a room full of monitors in an undisclosed location, Albert Wesker was reviewing the footage of Saki his cameras had caught — including the chilling message she had delivered through Nicholai's body cam.
He chuckled, lips twisting into a dangerous smirk. "Challenge accepted, child. I do not know who created you… but I shall make something that surpasses you."

Back with Saki
Saki made her way to the power station. After shooting the three zombies inside, her watch dinged again. She frowned. "Wait… thirty zombies already? Seriously?"
She glanced at the glowing display:

Saki raised her eyebrows. "Accelerated Perception, huh?" She activated it experimentally. Her eyes widened in awe as the world around her began to crawl, everything but her moving in syrupy slow motion. It was as if time itself had drowned.
On a whim, she bolted back toward the garage at full speed. To her, it felt like only a couple of seconds before she arrived, just in time to see the garage door slowly… painfully slowly… creak open outward. Jill's figure was barely emerging, bit by bit.
Saki tilted her head, lips curving into a mischievous smile. "Well, this is an interesting development. I might…" She trailed off, then thought of a fun way to mess with Jill.
She dashed back to the power plant and entered the control room. With casual cheer, she pulled out a couple of camping grills, some burger patties, and hotdogs she had looted from the supermarket earlier that week. She fired them up and started grilling, then set a pot of water to boil for instant noodles.
As she sat down watching the food cook, she muttered, "Damn, does this not have a limit? That's overpowered."
But as soon as the words left her mouth, a small headache started pounding at her temples. It grew worse with every second, until she felt herself beginning to black out. With a grimace, she quickly shut off her accelerated perception. The world snapped back into motion, her vision stabilizing.
Breathing heavily, she muttered, "There it is… should've figured it would fuck with my head. It's a mental ability after all. But that begs the question—why did my Agility jump instead of my Intelligence? Oh well, no point worrying about it now."
Looking down, she realized the food had only just now started cooking. Her eyes widened in horror. "Oh fuck. I was trying to cook food while perceiving the world in slow motion… that would've been horrible."
When the food was halfway done, Jill finally walked into the room—only to stop dead in her tracks at the sight of Saki cheerfully cooking.
Saki beamed at her and waved. "Hey Jill! You hungry?"
Jill froze, finger raised like she was about to scold her. But instead, her expression softened into exasperation and hunger. "Yes… yes, I am. What's cooking?" she asked, sitting down beside her.
The two shared a quick meal. Afterward, Jill gave Saki a sharp look. "I have a lot to say about your little disappearing act, Saki, but it'll have to wait till I get the power back on. Wait here until I get back."
Before she could leave, Saki held out a shotgun and a box of shells with a casual shrug. "Wait, Jill—you might want these."
Jill's eyes widened in gratitude as she took them. "Thanks," she said, then stepped outside to restore power to the station.
Saki stretched her arms and muttered to herself, "While she's doing that, I'll run ahead back towards the garage and go slug it out with Nemesis."
She stored her cooking supplies and weapons back into her inventory, then left the control room, heading back toward the parking garage with a determined smirk on her face.
