Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: A Tank-Like Sports Car

"They didn't take a single cent, and they burned my money?"

In his office, Reyes asked.

"Yes," the manager of the burned-down warehouse said with his head bowed. "He also said… he said this was just the beginning."

"Ha," Reyes smiled, walking over to his desk. His hand lightly ran over some items on the desk. "Just the beginning… heh heh…"

"Then," Reyes paused, his hand stopping on a metal object. He grabbed it and turned around, hitting the manager with it. "This is our answer!"

To Reyes, a subordinate like this deserved to die!

He put the blood-stained object back on the desk, ignoring the unconscious and bleeding subordinate. Reyes turned to another head of security in the office, whose head was bowed.

"Clear out all the warehouses. In an hour, I want to see all the money locked in a safe place. And after that, tell everyone to go find those bastards! I want them all on the wanted list, understood?"

"Understood!"

Soon, under the command of the head of security, Reyes's men started their operation. They openly carried guns and walked the streets, but no one dared to stop them.

As Toretto and his crew had predicted, they started gathering all the cash from Reyes's warehouses, which were scattered all over the city, and transporting them to the "safe" place they had chosen.

Toretto's plan was going smoothly. The plan was to make Reyes willingly gather all the money in one place so they could rob it all at once!

However, there was a small hiccup in the plan.

"Oh," Tej said, looking at the building where Reyes's men were driving into. "Am I seeing things?"

"I don't think so…" O'Conner's voice was low. "That's the police station!"

Reyes, a well-known drug lord, could store his money in a police station?

Everyone looked at each other.

"Well, now the difficulty has gone from nearly impossible to absolutely impossible," Roman said, starting to complain.

"We stick to the original plan," Toretto said, with his arms crossed.

"What did you say?" Roman was shocked. "Did I hear you correctly?"

"No, you didn't hear wrong. We stick to the original plan… no, we need to modify it slightly," Toretto said, pulling out his phone and turning away to make a call. "We're going to need much better cars."

"Hey, it's not a matter of whether the cars are good or not anymore!" Roman, who was now having second thoughts, started trying to convince Toretto to give up. "Unless you can get us a tank that's as fast as a sports car!"

"I can't get a tank," Toretto said without looking back. "But I can get you a sports car that's like a tank."

"What?" Roman was confused.

I was just joking around. You can actually get one?

And what the hell is a sports car that's like a tank?!

Soon, Roman found out where Toretto was going to get that "tank-like sports car."

Morin, who was in the cabin, just finished working with Gisele on a sports car when he got a call from Toretto.

"What's up?" Morin asked.

"Morin, we have a problem," Toretto said. "I need your help."

"Let me guess…" Morin said, turning the key to start the engine. "Where did Reyes store his money? The city hall? A bank vault? The police station?"

"How did you know?" Toretto was stunned.

"I thought about it," Morin said, admiring Gisele's long legs as she got into the car.

"I always like to think before I act. So, before I came here, I looked into everything about Reyes. A well-known drug lord like him, who has been operating in Rio for so many years without being caught and has even become a local snake, I would never believe that he didn't have official protection."

"You're right," Toretto said. "Reyes stored all his money in the police station. If we want to stick to the original plan, we're going to need some more powerful cars."

"Don't worry, since I already anticipated this, I'm already prepared," Morin said, starting the car and sending the warehouse address to Toretto. "Come to the warehouse I rented. I'll show you something good."

Toretto and his crew soon arrived at Morin's warehouse.

By the time they got there, Morin had just finished taking Gisele for a ride and brought her back. He then led everyone into the warehouse.

"A sports car that's like a tank?" Morin said with a grin after hearing Toretto's request. "Follow me."

With that, Morin led everyone to two dark gray shipping containers.

"Open them and see for yourselves," Morin said, building up the suspense.

"How prepared are you?" Toretto was already shocked when he saw the parts in the open crates in the warehouse, but now, he knew that what was in the containers was probably the most important thing Morin had brought.

"Being well prepared means, you have more ways and confidence to solve problems when they come up," Morin said. "You know, I always like to do things this way."

"That's true…" Toretto said with a smile. He pulled open one of the containers, and even with his level of emotional control, he couldn't help but shake his head. "F**k, how did you even get this here?"

"What? What is it?" Roman, who was still checking out the parts in the crates, quickly walked over. After seeing what was in the container, he immediately swallowed.

"Are you kidding me?" Roman was stunned for a moment before he came to his senses. "Can someone punch me? I think I'm hallucinating."

Hearing that, Toretto looked eager, and he moved his thick arms. Morin also glanced at Roman, his arm twitching slightly.

Although neither of them had any hatred for Roman, who would pass up an opportunity to punch a loudmouth?

"Wait, what are you guys trying to do?" Roman shrank his neck, feeling a chill run down his spine. "O'Conner! Help me!"
