Alex looked at me like he was feeling all of my pain. He held me in his arms watching me in pain " I am sorry....I couldn't protect you". He was filled with tears. He gently lifted my body up to hug me. He continued to apologize while he hugged me.
I couldn't see him in so much pain. I knew I should be strong and bid him a very gentle farewell with a smile on my face but before I knew it, I was crying as well.
What did we both do to deserve this? We just wanted to live a life. We just wanted someone to love us. We were just living our lives but how did we end up being murderers?
I only had a few minutes left to live. I could feel my body going numb. He whispered to me "Hey! Tell me! what is so wrong about something we did? Did we really do something wrong to deserve death?". He was completely covered in blood and tears when he asked me that.
Will this be my last words to him? Will this be my last answer to the world? I don't know...." You didn't do anything wrong Alex.... you were just given a false route which led you to make a big mistake because of all the toxic people around you. You were just trying to protect yourself. Trying hard to survive each day and night. Its not your fault. Now after I pass away.... Live an honest life.... I love you."
His eyes said it all. He was longing for those words. He was longing to hear kind words. He wanted someone to tell him that it was not his fault. He looked like a child who has found salvation from my words
Alex embraced my dying body. He kissed my lips which was completely covered in blood and held onto me tightly until my last breath whispering to me that he loved me too....
