Midoriya a quirkless junior high student a boy who never in his life had even lifted his fist to fight back a boy who by everyone's standard was a certified coward was now standing on the side of his school building having beaten two quirked bullies to save another student....
To midoriya everything was just a blur one moment he was standing behind the wall watching a bullying incident happen under normal circumstances anyone else who saw this would've backed off not wanting to get involved because it was common sense.
But not midoriya who moved on his own instinct as if he was possessed he threw a punch unlike any he had ever in his life and knocked out someone on the other hand the punch he received was nowhere near the most painful thing he experienced.
As he stood there thinking about what had happened he looked behind him at who he wanted to save but all he saw in his eyes were fear and disbelief...
Beru as he looked at midoriya felt fear because how can a quirkless just beat two people with quirk even if it was a sneak attack it just didn't make sense a quirkless shouldn't be able to beat a quirkless individual that's how the world is and how it has been for nearly 200 years and so as he looked at him he saw a freak and immediately ran.
"FREAK!!!!!!"
As midoriya saw him running away from him he felt a bit disappointed but wasn't too discouraged as beru had just been under extreme stress during the bullying and so he slowly left but he couldn't help but crack a small smile.
'I helped someone even if that someone just ran away in fear of me haha...'.
As he thought about it, it was the first time he ever succeeded in saving someone not just helping as that he would always do and as he was walking he wondered..
'i guess that's why I had no will to fight for my own that will was for others '
As he thought that no matter how much he tried he would never fight for his own selfishness maybe in the future but if it was for others then he would never hesitate.
"Haha hah hahahahahahaha"
Midoriya laughed happily with joy as now he finally saw a path, a path forward towards his dream as he looked at his fist he felt he could only keep moving forward with all his heart and finally be what he always dreamt of a HERO.
"I will become a hero even if I'm not the number 1 it doesn't matter if I can save lives now is it "
After saying that he continued his walk home with a new found courage and will to move forward but he still felt that he was missing something...
As midoriya was having internal dialogue while behind him was a boy his own age watching him with an emotionless face ..
"Deku....."

And so the next day came midoriya's mother as soon as she saw the bruise on his face has become extremely worried and so had lectured him to be careful but after listening to his explanation on how he got bruised she felt proud that her son has tried to save someone and succeeded but still warned him not to get into fights.
Even though his mother told him not to get into fights he knew it was only a matter of time before they tried to get revenge that's what they always do.
Surprisingly nothing happened throughout the whole school day but he knew it would happen soon .
"Um midoriya?"
But as he was thinking that someone approached him from behind and so he turned around and found beru the guy who he saved and ran away.
"Yes?"
Beru standing before midoriya felt extremely guilty for running away yesterday even though midoriya had fought and got beaten (it was only one punch to the face) protecting him but what did he do .....he ran because he was afraid and so he came today to apologise.
"I just wanted to say sorry for calling you a freak and running away yesterday"
" Oh well....."
"Even though you saved me from those guys I still treated you-"
"Hey beru right "
"Um yeah"
"It's ok I understand "
And just like that midoriya simply started preparing his bag to go back home again all the while beru watched he couldn't help but asked.
"Why did you save me even though noone has until yesterday "
As midoriya heard him say that he simply smiled and remembered something julius sensei once told him.
'Do you need a reason to help someone? Of course not you don't now listen here midoriya boi I once knew a guy he was reckless,brave , foolish, selfless, and beyond he got hurt all the time trying to help others and when I asked him why does he always tries to help and save everyone do you know what he said'
'um no what did he say sensai'
And so midoriya looked at beru and said that very same line that he heard a line that resonated so much with his soul .
'Do you need a reason to save others?'
"Do you need a reason to save others!"
As beru heard him say those words he couldn't help but look down and feel even more guilty as someone so pure someone that saved him for no reason other than being a good person he didn't dare look him in the eye as he thought.
'yah this is someone who can be a hero'
Midoriya watching beru smiled softly and simply pat him on his shoulders and slowly left .
After midoriya left beru kept standing there for sometime until he eventually decided maybe it wasn't so bad to be friends with him and so he left the classroom looking for midoriya to ask him if he could be his friend.
But then he heard a commotion from the direction midoriya was headed and so he ran and found a crowd of students in the hall he squished himself into the front of the crowd and saw the two bullies from yesterday standing in front of a bruised up midoriya.
He was afraid as he looked at the two bullies but as he looked at the fallen midoriya he tried to go and help him but the saw midoriya look at him with a weak smile saying...
"no"
And so he stopped and bit his lips being unable to do anything as he watched the two bullies beat him up.
While all this was going on midoriya just took the beating and for some strange reason he felt like ....
"Haha"
Everyone who was present were shocked when they heard that laugh none more so than the two bullies who started shaking and immediately started to beat him up again and yet ..
"Hahhaahahahahhah"
Midoriya laughed he laughed so loud that almost everyone in the school heard him and as for why he laughed that was because he found the entire situation funny as he looked at the eyes of his two assailent all he found was fear.
Like as if he a quirkless boy getting beaten up and not fighting back was the most dangerous thing in the world he found the very thought of that amusing which was nothing like he would usually think and so he sat there having been beaten up and looking at his assailents.
His assailents on the other hand were terrified why was midoriya laughing even though that were beating him they looked around them at the other students and felt weak even though they had beaten midoriya up and so they looked around looking for a way to change the situation and he found it .
"Hey aren't you the pipsqueak that got away yesterday"
And so beru noticed the two bullies heading towards him and tried to step back but couldn't due to the crowd and started shaking in fear.
Seeing this the two bullies smiled as maybe beating up this kid would make the other students fear them again and so they walked towards him until.
Midoriya took each of their heads in his hands and bashed them together out of nowhere.
All the students who saw this immediately stepped back as they never saw him moving from his spot on the ground and now he stood on top of the two bullies who were reeling in pain .
They had never seen him like this and felt afraid because all of them except a few had made fun of him and insulted all his life and so they were afraid of retaliation.
But amongst them one student felt happy and relieved as he looked at midoriya standing infront of him while his bullies had fallen his admiration of him grew and he decided no matter what he would always be by his side .
'It's funny the fact that day would be the day I met the important person in my entire hero career my No.1 fan BERU
