A strange situation was going on in the local junior high school as a crowd of students were gathered around and incident where a single quirkless student was fighting two of the schools bullies on his own and winning and that boy was Izuku midoriya.
"Damn you quirkless I'm gonna get get you for that"
"I'm gonna beat you up!!"
As the two bullies tried to fight him the situation had changed from before where midoriya just sat there and took the blows and never fought back now he was standing his ground.
And punched back with way more force than then the average 12 year old for every punch he took he threw 2 more with even more strength it was surreal for all the other students.
Midoriya kept fighting the two but he knew he would last long due to the earlier beat down he received and so he had to end this fight soon and so he decided to use one of the few tricks he learnt from julius.
As midoriya took a step back and took an upright and stable, with knees slightly bent, feet about shoulder-width apart, and the head centered over the hips and he waited.
By seeing this the stone hair quirked bully became irritated and started running head first towards midoriya intending to headbutt him like a bull and when he finally made contact with him he suddenly felt something wrong.
That wrong feeling was infact midoriya grabbing him both on his shoulder and on his head then grabbing his uniform as well as the head and spinning in a judo throw towards the other bully who was approaching them.
Seeing that midoriya was going to throw his partner towards him tried to stop or at least change his direction of running but it was too late.
His face was met with the back of his ally and so with that hit the two bullies eventually got knocked out cold then and there .
(A/N: I realised that for a 12 year old getting hit on the face with a what was essentially a boulder courtesy of the quirk is a bad idea the back isn't as bad as the head so)
And so the entire hall went quiet as the crowd of students present were starting at midoriya as he stood there having beaten two students all on his own without any help and nobody said anything nor moved for an entire minute until midoriya's feet started wobbling and he fell.....
Or atleast he was supposed to until someone caught him that person being beru who despite his rather small and weak stature managed to catch him and slowly started helping him walk towards the nurse's office.
As they walked all the students gave away and opened a path for them as they had never seen anything like that . The reason for their surprised and confused reaction was because it was midoriya who did it if it was anyone else it would have been just a normal incident but not today.
Midoriya had received quite a lot of injuries all over his body but thankfully it wasn't permanent but still he wouldn't have been able to walk back home on his own and so they had to call his mom....
Which was a whole nother incident all together anyways because of all the witnesses and because of the insistence of Inko Midoriya the school made a decision to suspend the two student bullies who were clearly the assailent in this incident and this punished for an entire month since the beginning of school.
Midoriya on the other hand had been given strict warning and was told to take a break of three days and then an extended punishment of janitoring the school for a few weeks as even though midoriya was doing it for self-defense the level of injuries the other two recieved still warranted punishment.
And so midoriya was slowly carried by his mother and by his new found friend beru towards the taxi his mother had called to take them home.
"Um izuku?"
"Ya.....yah mom?"
"Do.... do you regret what you did today?"
"...."
As his heard his mother's words he thought about it being her son he knew she wasn't talking about the fight in of itself but rather the reason for the fight that is for why did he started to fight back .
" No i don't regret fighting back to save someone"
" Is that so izuku .....say izuku?"
"Yah mom?"
"Do you still want to be a hero?"
As soon as Inko Midoriya said those words her son's answer came immediately and she felt relieved.
"Yes I will always want to be a hero "
" Is that so I'm glad"
After hearing her son say that she felt that maybe she really didn't failed her son after all when he was born quirkless and so looking at her son now she knew no matter what she would always her son's dream to become a hero.
"Oh and izuku can you tell me who's your friend over there"
" Oh ...um his name is-"
"Hello mrs midoriya my name is Beru!"
And so the three slowly left the school ground but unbeknown to them someone was looking at them with a grown that somebody was Katsuki Bakugo.
Earlier the day as bakugo watched midoriya fight with all his might without any quirk he felt a strange number of feelings one of which was disgust at the fact that even though 'Deku'(A/N: when ever it is bakugo's pov it's gonna be Deku) was quirkless why was he fighting so hard.
He had always been praised for his quirk as well as his ability in studies and practically everything else and deku was a shadow he was always that a shadow that should always remain in the dark in this current society where quirks dictates everything someone like deku shouldn't be able to do anything but then why ....
What was he fighting so hard in front of him and winning, and also why wasn't he moving he felt confuse about how was he able to do all that.
All his life he's lived in a society that supports quirks more than anything else and a strong quirk even more support than others and everything else was secondary then why ....why was he feeling a sense of quiet dread .
The truth was he knew why he was feeling .....dread deku had always beena timid and weak kid ever since they were kids and became even more timid and weak after he realised he was quirkless....
He despised deku not because he was quirkless but because of the fact that he was weak and that someone as weak as him wanted to become a hero and if someone like him became a hero then how pathetic would heroes become later....
He knew that was a childish thought from his younger days and yet as he looked at deku throughout the years there was never an ounce of bravery or courage or anything he didn't train, he didn't fight, all he did was nerd out and so his anger grew even more someone who doesn't even try to fight for himself can never be a hero....
And yet today when he finally fought back why did he feel ...fear he knew why he felt disgust but fear that was easier to explain as it was towards deku but fear ...that fear wasn't for deku it was for........THAT MONSTER FROM 6 YEARS AGO.
At that time he a few of his friends were bullying deku at that time someone showed up behind them that someone no.....that couldn't have been a person the presence the seer unending pressure that THING released just by being near him traumatized him forever.....
After the incident with that THING he was afraid of approaching deku fearing it would come back and so he left deku for a while until eventually he gathered up his courage and confronted deku who at that time had gained massive confidence...
But after awhile he realised that THING was really gone while he was confronting deku the first thing he felt wasn't relieve it was anger shear unadulterated anger and so he beat deku up.....
Asking himself why did he felt so much fear why did he avoided deku ,why did he remain hiding inside his room while here this useless DEKU!!!! Walked around all confident by the time he was done he looked at his arms and saw blood a lot of blood and then he looked at deku and saw what he did ....
He was terrified at what he had done he had never beaten anyone or anything to such an extent and then he felt guilt......
"D.....de...deku?"
