Chapter 25 - Watching Her Phone

That night, when she went to shower, I finally picked up her phone.

My heart pounded so hard I thought it'd break my ribs.

No new messages — she was careful.

But the gallery had a couple of new selfies.

Her smile looked different. Softer. Warmer.

It wasn't for me.

I didn't feel jealous. I felt… hollow.

I put the phone back exactly as it was.

My hands shook the whole time.
