Chapter 29 - Birth of the World of Trees: Journey Between Worlds

Chapter 29: Birth of the World of Trees: Journey Between Worlds 🌿✨

The girls, I'm going to a certain place. I'll be back, and I won't be late, okay?

It was time to try traveling to another universe, and to test the loot cards.

I didn't even give them a chance to comprehend what I said—I vanished right before their eyes.

In fact, I had already given the instructions to the Dimensional Gate to transport me to the universe of Tales of Demons and Gods.

In the blink of an eye, I found myself alone over a vast desert.

Anyway, it didn't matter where I was transported. What mattered was the thing I came for:

Myriad Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting.

After a brief thought, I decided to take as well: Temporal Demon Spirit Book and the Nightmare Demon Vase.

Then, after I had decided what I wanted, I used one of the loot cards.

At that moment, my consciousness trembled, and upon inspecting, I discovered that they were directly linked to me: Temporal Demon Spirit Book and Myriad Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting.

While the void around me shivered, the Nightmare Demon Vase appeared. I took it and placed it into the Myriad Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting.

However, it seemed that the Temporal Demon Spirit Book, as described in the story, had a missing page.

But that didn't matter to me… it was something insignificant.

And the other thing, Myriad Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting… it really was something extraordinary… it would be extremely useful.

As for the Temporal Demon Spirit Book, it would be useful to me as well, especially since it contained so many skills, techniques, alchemy, and engraving patterns… everything I'd be delighted to learn.

After obtaining what I came for, I gave the Dimensional Gate the command to return to Duluo.

In the blink of an eye, I found myself at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.

At that moment, their reaction was astonishing… they were utterly shocked.

"What's wrong with you? Is it so strange to see someone use teleportation?"

You You said, "No… it was just… surprising."

I smiled and said, "Well, don't worry… I just went to fetch something. Now, shall we continue what we were talking about? Though, I suppose you wouldn't survive a Centuries-Long Karma… so I found a solution. Are you ready now?"

You You responded confidently, "Yes."

As soon as I finished speaking, I used one of the Million-Year Upgrade Cards on her.

The moment the card vanished before me, You You's training instantly soared to the level of a million years.

At the same time, the sky twisted, and black clouds gathered… it was the Million-Year Karma of the Spiritual Beast.

I said, "Hey, You You… what's wrong? Why are you frozen in place?"

You You replied in astonishment and fear, "S-sorry… this… this is unbelievable! You weren't lying… it's still… if it continues, we'll be destroyed by the Million-Year Karma!"

I smiled and said, "Don't worry… I have a solution."

I grabbed the beast swiftly and then transferred it into the Myriad Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting.

The moment You You disappeared, the black clouds dispersed, and the sky returned to normal.

Yet, a beautiful and melodious voice echoed in my ears:

"Hello… could… I want to become like that… your spiritual soul… it seems you possess Absolute Ice."

The figure appeared as a white plant, topped with a large octagonal white flower, its stamens sparkling like snow crystals, yet it emitted no fragrance.

I immediately recognized it as the Star Anise… yet in this timeline, it appeared as a young girl, similar to Tiameng.

This timeline… it's different from the original one I came from.

I replied, "Alright… yes, then you will be the third spiritual ring. That means you'll have to wait… does that not bother you?"

She responded confidently, "Alright… I won't mind, I'll wait for you."

I smiled and said, "No, you won't wait… I'll take you with me now. Okay? Get ready, I'll upgrade you as well to the level of a million years."

Then, I used another card and upgraded the Star Anise to a million years too, and placed it inside the Myriad Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting.

After that, I gathered all the herbs here and placed them inside the Myriad Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting as well.

Without wasting any more time, I placed everyone in it—the old man Mo An—inside the Myriad Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting.

Only one target remained before me… to find Wang Chiu'er.

I used the Spirit Eye Sharingan, trying to detect any hidden trace deep within the forest, but everything seemed still… as if nature itself was guarding its secrets.

I murmured to myself, "Hmm… not here… but in the Star Dew Forest."

(From a third-person perspective)

Without wasting a moment, he began executing the technique he had longed to try, each step announcing the birth of something the world had never seen before.

He raised his hand and stamped it onto the ground, causing the soil beneath his feet to tremble, as if the earth itself were responding to his will. Then he shouted in a deep voice:

"Wood Release: Birth of a World of Trees!"

From the cracked earth surged the force of life, a massive green explosion engulfing the area. The ground split open, and enormous trunks rose from the depths, intertwining and interlacing, becoming towering trees that reached for the sky. Their branches stretched wide to cover the horizon, creating an interwoven green network, as if nature itself wanted to embrace the heavens.

It was no longer just a forest… it had become an entire green world. The trees expanded, their roots spreading through soil and rock, covering roads, meadows, and nearby villages. Everything around him transformed into a massive wave of life, as if the earth itself had been reborn.

The new forest knew no boundaries. Its branches writhed like mighty arms, and its roots pierced the ground relentlessly, tearing through rocks as if they were fragile leaves. Each tree breathed power, each leaf carried life energy glowing in the light, and every branch pulsed with absolute authority over everything around it.

The air was filled with the scent of wet earth, fresh wood, and morning dew, as if every particle in nature applauded this magnificent rebirth.

From afar, humans noticed what was happening. Villagers, hunters, and travelers stood in awe, their eyes wide, as sunlight cast giant green shadows across the sky. The wind rustling through the leaves sounded like royal whispers, as if the king of the earth had declared himself suddenly, bending everything around him to his will.

Amidst this majestic expanse, Ji Lin stood at the heart of the new forest, unmoving, observing every trunk, every branch, every leaf climbing toward the sky. The force of life was completely under his control, and the green spread enveloped any target before they even realized it, as if nature itself had become his weapon.

Everything around him had become enormous, magnificent, and enchanting—a power that could not be confronted, a dominance that could not be resisted, as if the entire earth had become his domain, entirely subject to his will alone.
