Hana straightened, panic clawing at her chest. "I—I have an emergency. I'm leaving."
She turned to run—but Kai's hand caught her wrist. His pull was too strong, and momentum sent them crashing back onto the sofa. Hana landed right on top of him.
Kangsoo slapped a hand over Eunha's eyes.
Kai blinked, stunned. The warmth, the closeness—her scent stirred memories he thought he'd buried. His lips parted before he could stop himself.
"Bobby?"
Hana froze. Her chest tightened. "Nobody calls me that anymore."
And then—something impossible. Kai smiled. A real one. Not cold, not mocking. A smile that belonged to another time.
Eunha shoved Kangsoo's hand away, eyes wide. "Did my brother just smile? At a woman?"
Flustered, Hana scrambled off him. Her hands shook as she smoothed her clothes.
Kai stood too, gaze fixed on her. "It really is you." He pulled her into a sudden embrace.
Hana's breath hitched. Five years melted in an instant.
Eunha gasped, voice dripping with mockery. "So the ice prince knows how to hug?"
But Hana barely heard. Her heart pounded against his chest. She shoved him away, her face burning.
"Kai… why now?" she whispered.
His eyes softened. "Because I missed you"
Hana's heart stuttered—because the boy who once left her behind was suddenly holding her like she'd never been forgotten.
