"Can I get a selfie?" Nari asked eagerly.
"Of course." Jin leaned in, casual, practiced. She snapped a few shots and bounced back, grinning ear to ear.
Then, with her usual mischief, she said, "By the way, Jin—my friend here was taking secret photos of you. Check her camera if you don't believe me."
Hana's jaw dropped. "Nari!"
But Jin's smile didn't falter. "I believe you. My fans don't lie." His gaze slid to Hana, sharp now. "So… why were you taking pictures of me?"
Hana swallowed. "I'm working on a campus series. I… needed candid shots. I know I should've asked—"
"Then why didn't you?" His voice cut in, low but curious.
"Because…" she blurted before she could stop herself, "I loved the way you were standing. Distracted but… picture-perfect."
Silence.
Even Nari's mouth dropped open. Since when did Hana say things like that?
A faint smile tugged at Jin's lips. "Honest. I like that." His gaze flicked down to her hand. "But you probably shouldn't wear a diamond here."
Hana flushed, brushing the ring. "It's fake."
"Mm." He chuckled softly. "Sure."
He turned to Nari. "See you around, then?"
"Nari," she said quickly.
"Great. Bye, Nari." He waved once, but before disappearing into the crowd, he glanced back at Hana and gave her a brief smile.
As soon as he was gone, Hana rounded on Nari. "What was that?"
"What?" Nari grinned. "If we're gonna make Brother-in-Law jealous, why not with someone on his level? Jin's an idol. Rich. Gorgeous. Equal footing."
Hana groaned, pinching her nose.
"And you," Nari added slyly, "what was all that 'picture-perfect' nonsense? Hana, you were flirting."
Hana's ears burned. "I was not!"
Nari burst into laughter. "For a second, I thought my meek little friend got body-snatched."
Hana shoved her playfully. "Shut up."
