Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The Big Fat Sheep Kafka

Kafka belonged to a dangerous organization called the Stellaron Hunters, and she was one of the most trusted members of their leader, Elio.

At the beginning of last year, Elio sensed that the universe had undergone a change.

This change was extremely strange, as if it was not part of the destiny of the universe, and of course, it couldn't be confirmed whether it was good or bad.

Elio paid a huge price and barely calculated that this change would originate on Azure Planet, and then gradually sweep across the entire universe.

So he sent his most trusted subordinate, Kafka, to lead the Stellaron Hunter Blade and descend upon Azure, intending to strangle the change while it was still in its cradle.

It didn't take much effort. Kafka used violent means to conquer the entire world.

She made use of the manpower and resources of the World Government to search the entire planet for the change. But more than a year passed, and not a single trace of it appeared.

The situation fell into a stalemate. Kafka also lost interest in that change. After handing the task over to the World Government to continue searching, Kafka instead wandered the world, collecting coats.

That day, Kafka had spent a fortune at an auction to buy a master's limited edition Andean baby llama wool coat.

She had been in a great mood, planning to find a hotel to try it on, but unexpectedly ran into a blind idiot trying to stage an accident scam.

Normally, when Kafka encountered someone courting death like this, she would have blown him away without hesitation.

But now she was at least considered a world ruler. To get angry with such a small fry was beneath her.

"Get lost." Kafka's words carried the power of Spirit Speech.

"Ow, ow, my foot hurts so bad!" Emiya wasn't moved in the slightest, still clutching his foot and howling loudly.

"What?!" Kafka was stunned. What had just happened? Her Spirit Speech actually failed?

Impossible. Even if the other party was deaf, her Spirit Speech couldn't be resisted. There was absolutely no way it could fail.

After the brief shock, Kafka guessed it must have been because her voice wasn't loud enough just now, and her meaning not clear enough.

"Stand up, and jump into the trash can!" This time, Kafka used her Spirit Speech at full power. Because her voice was too loud, it even turned sharp.

"Huh?" Emiya was a little dumbfounded. He was an old hand at this kind of work, but it was the first time he had seen a big fat sheep say something like that. Could it be she was a stage actress?

But dumbfounded or not, the performance had to be carried through. Emiya continued hugging his leg, bawling at the top of his lungs as if no one was around.

Seeing the crowd of bystanders growing larger, a faint smile flickered at the corner of Emiya's mouth. After all, the other party was a wealthy woman with status and reputation.

From the looks of it she was kind of stupid, but she definitely cared about her face. She would absolutely choose to spend money to avoid trouble.

But this time, Emiya miscalculated. Kafka sat stiffly in her luxury car, eyes wide open, staring at him so hard her eyeballs were about to pop out. The situation was so strange her brain disconnected.

'Damn it, you win!'

Emiya chickened out. He never imagined that this rich woman driving a multi-million luxury car would actually butt heads with him over 100,000 yen.

If it kept going like this, it would backfire. At this point, it was better to cut his losses and find another place.

"Everybody, get out of my sight!" Kafka suddenly roared. The crowd of bystanders really did all turn around and leave, without a shred of reluctance.

Confirming that her Spirit Speech hadn't failed, Kafka pulled out a wad of U.S. dollars with a cold face and walked up to Emiya. "I only have U.S. dollars. Is that okay?"

"Yes, yes!" Emiya took a quick look, there was a full $100,000, which already counted as over-completing the mission.

"Then get out of here!" Kafka pointed forward, screaming her lungs out.

Her Spirit Speech this time was already being used at overload. If she still couldn't control this man, then she really couldn't take it anymore.

"Alright, alright, you can have your money back, I'm out of here!" Hearing the system's mission completion sound, Emiya threw all the money back into Kafka's luxury car and rolled straight on the ground as he left.

After all, he had wasted so much of the rich woman's time. Emiya didn't mind acting like a clown as an apology.

Staring hard at the rolling figure of Emiya, Kafka's teeth ground so hard they clicked, her eyelids twitched violently, and her nails dug deeply into her palms from the force.

It was obvious, this man was truly immune to Spirit Speech.

Did he see through her identity and come to provoke her on purpose?

"Hurry up and come handle this!" Kafka shouted into the Stellaron Hunter's special phone, then immediately jumped into her sports car and fled the scene at full speed without hesitation.

Not far away, in a Range Rover with completely black-tinted windows, Ten-Star General Arthur, who had witnessed the entire encounter between Emiya and Kafka, was shaking like a sieve from excitement.

"C-c-coffee!" With a dry mouth, Arthur trembled as he lifted a cup of coffee to quench his thirst. But he forgot the coffee had only just been brewed.

"Pffft!" The ninety-degree water instantly raised blisters in his mouth, then sprayed all over his female assistant, scalding her into a scream.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, let me wipe it!" He fumbled around, finally finding a towel to wipe his assistant. Just then, a subordinate suddenly barged in.

"Ah? So you were doing something serious, I'll come back later!" The subordinate, thinking he was being tactful, was about to shut the door.

"Get back here!" Arthur was so furious he was about to blow smoke, but still forced a smile. "Report quickly, and next time remember to knock! Knock! Otherwise I'll knock your head in!"

"Yes, sir. Military report, one minute ago, Madam Kafka summoned a reinforced company to assemble and await orders."

The subordinate glanced again at the report, his expression darkening as he continued, "In addition, Madam Kafka has also applied for bombers and missiles."

"What?!" Arthur was so shocked he jumped up, slamming his head on the car roof, raising a huge bump, but he didn't even care.

"Find Emiya for me! Don't act rashly, I'll go make contact with him personally!"

———

Emiya's life was now basically stable, and his pursuit of cooking had been put back on the agenda.

Besides visiting snack streets to learn other people's selling techniques, he had also signed up for online public classes, and his cooking skills were steadily improving.

Since it was rare for him to take a vacation, and the day was still early, Emiya wandered idly around different snack streets. He planned to learn one or two local specialty dishes to bring back for Acheron and Vera to taste.

Suddenly, a Range Rover with completely black-tinted windows blocked Emiya's path.

The man who stepped out was in military uniform, tall and upright, with the standard features of a Western face.

From his gait, demeanor, and the respectful attitude of the man and woman following him, he was clearly a person of high rank and authority.

"Mr. Emiya, I am Ten-Star General Arthur, head of Azure Planet's Unified Defense Division."

"What kind of division is that? Never heard of it." Emiya's expression darkened. He could feel that this chief had come to him with trouble.

"It's inconvenient to talk here. Could we go to our base to chat?" As soon as Arthur finished speaking, dozens of heavily armed soldiers suddenly leapt out from all around, surrounding Emiya in a tight circle.
