Grey crouched down, bending his knees, evading the claw strike of the Warped eclipse beast. His aura infused fist rushed towards the beast's neck in a rising left uppercut, hitting squarely on the neck, piecing right through, separating the head and the body.
The beast's body fell on the floor and turned into dust. Leaving the black beast core and a crimson hexagonal stone, engraved with a rune.
[Warped class eclipse beast killed: +1452 EXP]
[Obtained skill: Left uppercut (C+) (active)]
[Mission progress: (99/100)]
[Level up]
"Only the boss left now." Grey picked up the beast core and the crimson stone. The crimson stone with the rune was a skill stone that are sometimes dropped by the eclipse beasts. It could have either their own skills or skills from the human they would have devoured.
He used the eyes of revelation to check on the skill stone.
[Skill stone: Claw strike (C)
Aura gathers at the fingers forming sharp claws. Can be used to strike and tear into the enemy.]
"Should I keep it or sell it? Not that useful for me though." Grey was not that exited about learning this skill. He was a kickboxer. His fought with fingers curled inside into fists, not wide open like a claw. For now, he decided to keep it, putting it into his inventory.
There was only the boss left now. If it was just like the game as he remembered, the boss was a Scourge class eclipse beast. Not that difficult to handle. But fearing the butterfly effect, He decided to proceed with caution.
After moving a few meters ahead, Grey was greeted with a wide arched entrance. There were a lot of human skulls and bones that were littered in front of it. The insides were pitch black. Nothing could be seen, except only a growling sound coming in intervals.
Aura gathered on Grey's fist, illuminating the area around him. with a sigh, he stepped forward, walking through the entrance inside.
CRACK!
Unaware of the surrounding because of the darkness, Grey stepped on a skull, breaking it into pieces. Just then his eyes opened wide, his senses were screaming of a danger coming right at him. he immediately jumped back.
Just then a huge tail, sharp and pointy at the edge and about two meters long fell like a whip right where he stood earlier.
GROWLL!!
A large head came out of the darkness, growling with its long canines out and the crimson eyes glowing in the dark. It had a head like that of a dog and two pairs of eyes, one smaller behind the front one. Dark black skin with red patterns all over its neck and head.

"Fuck! It's almost about to reach the Shadowheart class." Grey was a bit taken aback after checking its stats with his eyes of revelation. It was a peak Scourge class, about to evolve into a Shadowheart upon crossing level 30.
"Fucking butterfly effect!" Grey cursed inside. in the game, the boss was definitely a Scourge, but its level was not that high. It was in the initial levels, level 21. But seeing this boss in front of him being level 29, fear and uncertainty were taking over him.
It was far higher level than him. Defeating it was a secondary issue. He had to survive somehow first. Just when he was collecting himself from the shock, another tail whip came at him.
Grey dashed towards his side, evading the tail. He then saw a black ball of fire forming in front of the opened mouth of the beast. Grey couldn't relax. He instantly used dash and started running. The beast waited for the perfect opportunity, holding the fireball.
Grey was running along the edge of the walls, being visibility almost nil, he had to stick closer to the walls of the cave. He knew that the boss room was circular from the game. And while running along the edges, this theory of his was proved.
But just then, a huge stone barrier, vertically extending out of the edge walls appeared in front of him. Grey was surprised. This was another difference from the original game. Without any choice, he had to stop abruptly. Before he could turn and move again, the black fireball zoomed towards him.
There was no time, he couldn't avoid the fireball. "Lord of martial arts! I'm putting all my faith into you now. Please work!"
Grey stood facing the fireball. He bent his knees and raised his arms forward, collecting as much aura as he could on both of his fists. The silver-grey aura condensed into a plasma like state.
"Gattling jabs!" Grey yelled as he released jab after jab towards the fireball. The aura from his fists rushed ahead in the form of a punch shaped fist with each jab. Almost twenty aura punches hit the fireball and broke through, disintegrating it into nothing, with small embers of the fire falling on the floor.
DING!
[Skill obtained: Gattling jabs (B+)
Throw 20 jabs at the enemy, releasing aura punches with each strike, all packed with destructive aura force, capable of mutilating the enemy.]
"Haha! It fucking worked!" Grey was excited. He was not sure if this would work. If it didn't, he would have been burned to cinders. But his SSS+ skill saved his ass.
ROAR!
Seeing his strongest skill fail, the beast roared in anger and rushed at Grey. With its high agility it appeared in front of him in a blink, swinging its arm with the sharp nails for a claw strike.
Grey didn't stay idle, He crouched down and side-stepped, rolling on the ground, moved inside the beast's guard. Aura rushed to his feet as he jumped up.
BAM!!
Grey's uppercut hit right under the chin of the beast. throwing its head backwards. He then turned his body around fast, lifting his leg up, and adding the momentum from the spin to his leg, rammed a hook kick on its head midair, blasting it away to the distance.
"You're dealing with the champion of mixed martial arts, you bastard!" Grey landed softly on the ground as he smirked at being successfully in executing a perfect punch and kick combo.
"Let's end this fast, or else I'll be the dead one." The beast was shaking its head as it slowly lifted itself up from the ground. But Grey didn't wait for it get to its senses, because he wouldn't be lucky all the time, it was far stronger than him and if the fight goes on long, he wouldn't be able to sustain with a little bit of his aura left.
