Chapter 25 - Chapter 25. The Golden Land of Search Priority! Everything Connects!

Chapter 25. The Golden Land of Search Priority! Everything Connects!

The in-archetype Spells/Traps are already like this.

Then there's no need to feel bad when you discard them.

If it's time to discard, discard.

Use them to support Eldlich the Golden Lord's development.

After that, keep using Graveyard resources to continue generating advantage and create a resource gap.

In essence, a Duel is just about who has more resources.

....

I'll be an Eldlich Master: "The second effects on the in-archetype Golden Land/Eldlixir Spells/Traps are mandatory staples."

I'll be an Eldlich Master: "You can generate advantage straight from the Graveyard, so it's clear this 'underworld' Eldlich deck is different from other 'underworld' decks."

"Other 'underworld' decks struggle to replenish once they've burned through resources."

"But with Eldlich, your monsters keep reviving to clear boards, while your Traps fetch in-archetype cards to generate resources."

"That leads to one situation."

"In the match, your opponent's resources keep shrinking, while your resources keep growing."

"As the saying goes, watching your opponent plus cards is even more painful than you going minus."

"Eldlich is the textbook example of that."

"...."

After hearing this, in the Duel Monsters world, Seto Kaiba, Yugi Muto, and the others all showed looks of emotion.

Isn't that the truth?

Watching others draw cards feels worse than you going minus.

Watching others get interrupted feels better than you bricking.

This is one of the key pleasures of playing Eldlich.

But here's the problem.

They could all see the synergy between Eldlich the Golden Lord and those Spell Cards.

But who gets search priority?

"So, 'Golden Land' is another archetype line for this deck?"

"Then which one do you prioritize fetching?"

Tristan Taylor was the first to voice what everyone was wondering.

And the next second, several "Golden Land" cards appeared on screen.

I'll be an Eldlich Master: "I'm sure everyone's wondering at this point."

I'll be an Eldlich Master: "Since the cards you send to the Graveyard can still function, what do you actually search?"

I'll be an Eldlich Master: "Let's first see which 'Golden Land' cards there are."

First, a Continuous Spell — Seven Cities of the Golden Land.

It's a Zombie-only Fusion card.

Don't run it.

Second, a Counter Trap — Golden Land Forever!

It's the in-archetype omni-negate.

You Tribute a Zombie as the cost.

Run 1–2.

Third, a Continuous Trap — Conquistador of the Golden Land.

Effect 1: It Special Summons itself as a Normal Monster (Zombie).

If that succeeds and you control Eldlich, you can destroy a face-up card, which pairs perfectly with Eldlich for clearing boards.

Effect 2: During the End Phase, banish it from the Graveyard to Set 1 "Eldlixir" Spell/Trap directly from your Deck.

Mandatory 2–3 copies.

Fourth, a Continuous Trap — Huaquero of the Golden Land.

Effect 1 is similar to Conquistador; if you control Eldlich, you banish 1 card from either Graveyard.

Effect 2 is the same: during the End Phase, banish it from the Graveyard to Set 1 "Eldlixir."

Mandatory 1–2 copies.

Fifth, a Continuous Trap — Guardian of the Golden Land.

Effect 1 likewise becomes a monster; if you control Eldlich, you make a face-up monster's ATK become 0.

Effect 2 is the same Graveyard banish to Set 1 "Eldlixir."

Run 0–1 copy.

Up to this point, the five "Golden Land" cards you can fetch are basically all on the table.

After seeing the creator's recommended ratios, it's crystal clear, and it makes the build much easier to pin down.

Counter Trap Golden Land Forever!.

Continuous Trap Conquistador of the Golden Land.

Continuous Trap Huaquero of the Golden Land.

These three are cards you can pretty much lock in.

Likewise, once the last two are used and sent to the Graveyard as resources, they can link you back into the Eldlixir cards.

And the Eldlixir cards, when banished from the Graveyard, in turn Set "Golden Land" cards.

The entire connection chain was already forming in every Duelist's mind.

Duelists across the six worlds were stunned.

At first glance, does the search flow look messy?

But in practice, it's very clear and coherent, and the deck's power is written all over it.

Eldlich the Golden Lord discards an in-archetype Spell/Trap to Special Summon itself.

Or an Eldlixir Spell/Trap Special Summons Eldlich the Golden Lord.

From the Graveyard, you banish a "Golden Land" Trap to Set an "Eldlixir" card from your Deck.

After you use and send that "Golden Land" Trap to the Graveyard, you then banish it to fetch back into the Eldlixir line — and vice versa, the Eldlixir cards banish to Set "Golden Land" from the Deck.

It's like a three-point support triangle.

And it makes Eldlich's operation flow even clearer.

Those who connected the dots all showed looks of alarm.

For example, in the GX world, Dr. Vellian Crowler was exactly like this right now.

He had originally looked down on this deck.

But at this moment, he was completely immersed in Eldlich's connection flow.

"What! It can do that?"

"These cards really have that kind of search relationship?"

"Mamma mia!"

"I'm genuinely baffled!"

Dr. Vellian Crowler really was bewildered.

And precisely because he now understood this triangular relationship, he was even more bewildered.

"Whew, what an interesting deck."

"I admit, I was loud earlier."

"Eldlich — I'm getting a little obsessed."

"I want to become an Eldlich master like this content creator too."

Bastion Misawa excitedly organized the relationships among Eldlich the Golden Lord, Golden Land, and Eldlixir.

And precisely because he finished organizing them, he got even more hooked.

This kind of calculation is exactly his thing.
