In the Elarion kingdom:
A huge parade was present in the royal palace of the Elarion kingdom. Everyone was so excited waiting for the arrival of the three flowers of the kingdom. As they were waiting, a familiar golden carriage with horses made of fire appeared in front of them. Knowing that their princesses had arrived, they are shouted in joy for them. Festus got down from the chariot and as custom demands, went to the king and said with his head bowed in respect
" I greet the sun of the Elarion kingdom. My king, your daughters have arrived. "
The king smiled and meaningfully nodded to the herald. As if on cue ,the herald went foward and stood beside the carriage. Then he announced
" You are welcome Third princess Chloe-Gel Von Heist. Your kingdom has missed you so much. May you get down "
The people around clapped their hands and watched as Chloe gracefully stepped down from the carriage. She raised her dress a little and walked down the aisle under the watchful gaze of everyone present. She walked gracefully towards her parents and bowed down in respect like a lady. Her parents hugged her in return and she gave them a stiff smile. But her mother Queen Juliana, felt something off about her daughter. She realised her eyes were puffed as if she had just cried and she didn't give her the genuine hug she had expected from her. If this hug was from Erica, then fine but for Chloe there was something fishy, she thought. The herald oblivious of the situation continued his work
" You are welcome Second princess Erica Ashley Von Heist. Your kingdom has missed you so much. May you get down. "
Erica also got down elegantly as the crowd clapped for her and shouted her name. She walked down the aisle towards her family and bowed down to greet them when she got nearer to them. Then she also hugged her parents. The queen again felt something off with her second daughter and only hopped that the problem won't be so serious.
The herald again continued with his work. He announced again
" You are welcome First princess Abigail Mayee Von Heist. Your kingdom has missed you so much. You may now get down "
The claps came again and the crowd were happy as they looked foward to seeing the first princess, but as the claps died no one got down from the chariot. The herald opened the door of the carriage and looked in in confusion. But to his uttermost surprise, there was no one in the carriage. He turned to the crowd and voiced out
" The First princess is not in "
" huh...."
There were gasps everywhere as everyonewas astonished and bewildering. How come she is not in. If she is not in then where is she, they asked themselves and all eyes were glued to the two princesses and even the poor Festus. The queen gave her two daughters a " Where is your sister "gaze. But she was shocked as she saw tears streaming down Chloe's face. That was when she realised that the matter at hand was not something so easy to solve. Upon, hearing the whispering and seeing the problem would soon escalate, if care is not taken, King Rasmus declared
" Dear people of Elarion, I wish you could all return to your respective homes. The royal family has a matter to attend to therefore we would like you all to excuse us. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused"
Without waiting for the crowd to disperse, the royal family went into the palace. Once the doors were shut Chloe held her mother's hands desperately and said with tears cascading from her eyes
" mom, Abigail, she is in trouble. Let's save her mom. Before the worst comes "
Chloe was so desperate, if it wasn't for Erica warning her beforehand not to create any scene in front of the parade, she would have certainetly cried hard in front of everyone. Queen Juliana asked with a rare emotion showing on her face. Almost everyone was surprised upon seeing a panicked expression on the queen's face. She rarely showed emotion and was always expressionless making it hard for people to read her. But they forgot that, she was also a mother who loved her children deeply. She turned to Erica instead of Chloe and asked
" What happened Erica "
Erica sighed and narrated everything to them. In the end, they gasped as they never imagined something like this could happen. There was silence in the royal court and the queen asked
" but one thing is not clear to me, how did Abigail's power got unleash itself "
And that was a question that bothered her so much.
" it can't be possible. Someone might have tempered with you "
Then the king suddenly asked
" Erica, what do you mean by she fell of the cliff "
With difficultly Erica said
" Dad, she probably ... died "
Queen Juliana shoke her head in denial and said
" no, the ban....."
The queen stopped in her tracks and her husband continued slowly as every word was a tiny minibomb
" the banshee had cried a week earlier "
Chloe's eyes widened in shock as she heard her father's words. This can't be, the banshee cried. It couldn't be true. Then she collapsed as everything around her turned black.
