While letting out a yell, Jake slammed the pipe down again, smashing the target in front of him.
Luckily for him, his yells were muffled by the heavy rain and the rumbling sound of thunder in the sky, so no one could hear what was happening at the river's edge.
Travis' body was completely unrecognizable while Jake stood above all three cyclops' corpses.
Green blood dripped down from the edge of the metal pipe and Jake's hand shook as the realization of what he had just done started settling on him.
Not once had he ever hurt a man nor killed anyone before, but now he had murdered three huge cyclopes in cold blood.
After this realization, the rusted metal pipe in his hand slipped from his fingers and clattered on the floor, but Jake's eyes remained fixed on the corpses in front of him.
It felt strange to think that Travis was now dead. Just a few seconds ago he had been alive, taunting him and laughing at his expense, but now, he was no more.
But then, Jake recalled how his uncle had died and that it could have easily been Helen and Alice in this situation if Travis had been left alive.
'No.' Jake uttered in his thoughts.
He wasn't going to let that happen to them.
Those two were too important for him to ever think of losing even one of them.
If something were to ever happen to either of them, Jake would never forgive himself.
Speaking of which, with what happened today, Jake knew that his life would never be the same again.
Travis and his bruisers were gone and it was all thanks to the watch on his wrist, but that didn't mean in the slightest that his worries had ended.
Jake lifted his arm to take a closer look at the watch when a new screen popped up in front of him, congratulating him on completing his task

Looking through his newly acquired skills and attributes, Jake wasn't surprised when he saw how low his magical intelligence was.
Since the last mana rift had genetically improved his body, Jake had developed strength, speed, and stamina unlike the average human.
However, the same couldn't be said about his mana.
His mana was very small, so he got extremely exhausted whenever he used it, and naturally, since he didn't have any elemental affinity, his magical intelligence had been low ever since.
But now that he had obtained his first elemental ability, Jake knew that it was only a matter of time before his mana capacity increased as well.
And one could only imagine what other abilities he would obtain as he grew stronger.
Feeling excited about his future, Jake clenched his fist tightly as he imagined how his life would change from this day forth.
Now, he could finally try to live a happy and relaxing life with both Helen and Alice.
'No, it's too soon for that right now.' Jake thought to himself, shaking his head..
Although he couldn't wait to live a happy life with both Helen and Alice, he knew that there were more important things to consider and other pressing matters to attend to.
He brought his gaze down to the three bodies in front of him.
Now that Travis and his bruisers were dead, it was only a matter of time before Bruno discovered this, and once he did, Sector 7 would never remain the same.
Bruno was Travis's boss, and he was the true leader of the Dark Shadow gang, which was why Jake was troubled about what Bruno might do.
Jake knew that Bruno would most likely order his gang to become even more brutal because Travis' death was a clear indication that there was an enemy in Sector 7 that didn't take him seriously.
And that if anyone thought they could hide an enemy within his own territory, then using force would be the best way to assert his dominance in the Sector while at the same time reminding the common folks who Sector 7 belonged to.
In such a situation, no one would want to risk the safety of their loved ones if they were to ever discover the truth that Jake was the one who killed Travis and his men.
"I guess I have no choice but to get rid of the bodies," Jake muttered to himself as he alternated his gaze between the corpses and the huge blackwater river behind him.
At times like these, the best way to get rid of anything was to dump it in the river.
The rain was still hammering down heavily so the large current of the river was more than enough to carry the bodies away from the city.
Also, with the rain's constant and heavy downpour, his footprints could easily be washed away and no one would suspect a thing.
With this plan in mind, Jake swiftly pulled two of the bodies to the riverbank. But just before he could toss and get rid of one of them, Jake suddenly felt like he was being watched.
He cocked his head to the left and his gaze landed on a cyclops who was a few feet away from him, hiding and watching Jake try to dump the bodies of three tall, strong-looking cyclopes into the river.
The moment the cyclops noticed he had been spotted, he shrieked in fear and swiftly turned around to run.
"Oh shit. Here we go again."
Jake sighed as he dropped the bodies to the ground.
Then, he immediately chased after the cyclops to prevent him from returning to the Shadow gang's hideout and telling Bruno about everything that had happened at the river.
