Chapter 11 - I've just added lemon to it..

Reality can often be harsh and painful.

Bon arrived home to an oddly warm scene.

The dining table was beautifully set, with a delightful aroma wafting through the air and decorative flowers adding a touch of elegance.

Yet, Bon felt no excitement.

Tessa, still in her nightgown and appearing disheveled from her morning cooking, greeted him with a bright smile.

"Morning, babe! I've prepared breakfast for you," she said, her enthusiasm undeniable.

"Thanks, but I'm in quite a hurry," Bon replied, his tone lacking any warmth.

"I did this for you," Tessa insisted, trying to appeal to his sense of gratitude.

"I never asked for anything," he shot back, already heading upstairs.

"But we're still a family," she pressed, her voice pleading.

Bon paused momentarily before turning back to her.

"Listen, Tessa, I never asked you to come back into my life. Stop pretending like you care," he said firmly.

"I care because we have a daughter together" she responded, her expression softening.

"She deserves to have a lovely family," she added.

"A daughter?" he asked, skepticism creeping into his voice.

"Yes, a daughter," she confirmed.

"But you never told me I was a father," he retorted.

"Now I'm telling you. We have a nine-year-old daughter," she replied, emphasizing the weight of her words.

"I don't believe anything you say," he stated, making his way upstairs once more.

"I will never let you be happy with that woman , my daughter is my last hope to connect us," Tessa explained, a hint of desperation in her tone.

Back to the hotel..

Nancy burst outside, struggling to catch her breath.

She hurriedly took a cab, her heart heavy with distress.

In her anguish, she decided to call her mother, seeking solace in sharing her pain.

"Mom!" she began, her voice trembling.

"Dear, are you crying?" her mother replied, concern evident in her tone.

"Mom, I've never felt so humiliated. William introduced me as his side chick!" she poured out, tears streaming down her face.

"Oh!" she sobbed.

"I will make him pay for insulting me like that."

"Dear, please listen. Don't do anything rash," her mother urged gently.

"I have to make him regret this soon," Nancy insisted vehemently.

"Nancy, be careful. Please take care of yourself," her mother cautioned.

"Okay! Mom, don't worry," she answered, trying to reassure her.

As she spoke, Nancy noticed a large pharmacy nearby.

"Hey, could you drop me here?" she instructed the cab driver, feeling the need to focus on something practical.

Nancy went inside that large pharmacy.

Few seconds she returned with a selection of medicinal potions, including stimulants and bronchodilators.

After receiving some instructions, she quietly departed.

Her intentions remained a mystery.

Back at the mansion.

I was preparing to meet my new boyfriend.

It's amusing how infatuation can make me feel like a teenager again.

I was genuinely excited.

I took great care in my appearance and felt confident.

Just then, I ran into my love rival, and suddenly, all my joy disappeared.

Shit!!

It was his ex-wife.

"Do you really think Bon will be attracted to you?" she questioned, a smirk on her face.

"You're not nearly as captivating as I am," she added unapologetically.

I chose silence, not wanting to engage with her taunts.

"Our daughter will bring us together," she declared, but I held my tongue.

"Prepare yourself for the battle ahead," she continued with a challenging tone.

I responded coolly, "Are you finished, Miss Paris?"

Pretending her words had no effect on me.

"For now," she said, seemingly satisfied.

I retorted, "Whatever happened to your French drama act?"

At that moment.

I called out, "Max!"

Max, our chauffeur, replied promptly, "I'm here, boss," as he opened the car door for me.

"Take me to my usual spot, my handsome man is waiting," I said loudly enough for her to hear, making it clear that I would not let her dampen my spirits.

I left, thrilled about our reunion.

I was equally excited to dive into a new book with him. It was clear that I was in love.

I had no desire to think about anything that awaited me back at the mansion, and I had made no plans to return until morning.

We met at our little love nest, where he consistently exuded romance.

From a distance, I caught sight of him smiling, a book in hand.

Unable to resist, I returned his smile, embraced him, and shared a passionate kiss.

However, I noticed a tense look on his face, signaling he had something to share.

"Bon, I believe I know what's on your mind. It's about your ex-wife, isn't it? She just informed me that you have a child together," I began.

Bon let out a sigh.

Oh!!

"Yes, that's it. I didn't want to keep anything from you. I need to explain everything regarding her reappearance in my life," he said, concern shading his expression.

I smiled reassuringly. "I appreciate your honesty, Bon. I value fidelity and transparency, qualities I adore in you. It's normal for you both to have children, I was prepared for this. I'm ready to embrace the role of a stepmother, regardless of whether it's a daughter or son," I responded calmly.

"Oh my god, I didn't see this coming. I thought you would leave me, I believed this was it for us," he confessed, relief evident in his voice.

"Who said I would leave?" I replied firmly.

"You are my treasure in this world, and nothing will come between us."

With that, he leaned in, unable to resist capturing my lips in another kiss.

Back in the mansion.

Nancy found herself stepping into a role she had never before taken on cooking.

This was her first attempt, and she decided to set the table herself.

The maids looked on in shock, surprised by her unexpected involvement in the kitchen.

Oh!!

Murmuring were all over.

She then had gut's to granted a day off to all workers.

One maid, dared to speak up. "Um, ma'am, the lady boss didn't give us permission for that," she remarked, referencing previous instructions.

Nancy's patience wore thin.

Frustrated, she approached the maid and slapped her across the face.

"I cannot stand when foolish, disrespectful people disobey me!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with anger.

"Now, leave!"

However, my bastard husband remained by and observed the scene unfold.

He quickly intervened, stating, "No one will go anywhere."

Nancy was taken aback.

"What!" she responded, incredulous.

He softened his tone, addressing the other staff, "I apologize, my dear friends, this woman had a rough day. That's all."

As the staff began to depart, Nancy addressed his lover directly, asserting, "So this is your house now?"

"Yes, it is my house, and those are my people. You need to get used to them," he clarified firmly.

"Oh!, i see we shall see how long this will last," she said slowly.

"What did you say," he asked.

"Nothing," she replied.

"Now welcome i have prepared something delicious for you," she said while smiling mysterious.

Wow!!

"I can't wait to taste your food," he said.

"I'm sure you will love it," she replied.

William sat down at the table and took a sip of the soup.

He found it bitter.

"Hmm! This soup has an unusual taste,"

he remarked.

"Don't worry, I've just added lemon to it. If you'd prefer, I can get you something else,"

she offered, feigning concern.

"No, no, don't trouble yourself. I'll eat this,"

he replied.

"Very good just what i needed," she said, her tone hinting at something deeper.
