Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: First Day of School

In the end, Yato Gin gave up on the idea of inviting everyone for a drink. Few people here were normal. Aside from Yang Xiao, the rest were a bit abnormal.

Toga enjoyed raw, cold, and bloody food. Himekawa Shinpachi would sing in public when drunk. Himekawa Tae, when drunk—haha—would chop people up in public...

Lastly, Tsukuyomi Kagura, if she drank too much, would destroy the house!

So, after some thought, Yato Gin decided to drop the idea. It was impossible for him and Yang Xiao to restrain these guys at such times. Better to just go home, take a shower, and sleep.

Yang Xiao was in a good mood after leaving the Odd Jobs Shop. The first weight on his mind had lifted—Toga joining the Odd Jobs Shop meant she likely wouldn't join the League of Villains.

The second thing was that his salary had doubled, and he could improve his strength at the Odd Jobs Shop, which he looked forward to.

However, his Quirk still needed adjustment and concealment; otherwise, he might become one of the Odd Jobs Shop's main combat members.

Although he had no objection to killing bad people, he had never killed anyone before. Doing such a thing required mental preparation and time.

He guessed the Odd Jobs Shop would have a specialized training program to help him and Toga transform physically.

April.

The weather was neither too cold nor too hot—a very comfortable season.

On this day, the first day of school after Yang Xiao received his acceptance letter, he packed his things early in the morning, slung his white backpack over his shoulder, and headed straight for U.A. High School.

Unsurprisingly, the class he was assigned to was Class 1-A of the Hero Course.

Upon entering the campus, Yang Xiao felt the pure atmosphere. Although he had been a college student before, that was already the tail end of his youth. But now, he was in the most vibrant stage of youth—a time worth remembering.

Students arriving at school entered the campus one after another, their faces undoubtedly excited.

Getting into a top school like U.A. High was every teenager's dream.

Here, your young wings would grow stronger, thrive, and live up to your youth.

Burn fiercely, youth!

"Have I seen you before?"

Just as Yang Xiao was lost in thought, a voice interrupted him. He turned his head and saw the striking dark purple hair.

We meet again, Hitoshi Shinso.

"We met at Mount Fuji a few days ago." Yang Xiao smiled slightly, showing a kind expression.

Hitoshi Shinso looked as if he hadn't slept all night, his eyes lazy. He felt relieved upon hearing Yang Xiao's words but had nothing more to say. After all, even though he had saved people back then, he was misunderstood. Presumably, this person would misunderstand him too.

But why was he smiling? He shouldn't be.

Shinso wasn't much of a talker. He nodded and walked forward, but after two steps, he turned back to look at Yang Xiao. "Which department are you in?"

"Class 1-A of the Hero Course. Please guide me!" Yang Xiao didn't hide anything. This kind of thing would come out sooner or later. Since they were in the same school, information spread quickly, so there was no need to lie.

"Class 1-A of the Hero Course?" Shinso's expression, which had remained unchanged until now, suddenly shifted. He looked at Yang Xiao in disbelief.

How could this seemingly ordinary student be in Class 1-A of the Hero Course?

You had to understand—in each grade, Class 1-A of the Hero Course was the best class, followed by Class 1-B of the Hero Course, which was specifically for training heroes. If you wanted to become a professional hero in the future, getting into these two classes meant a higher success rate.

But he, although he had gotten into U.A. High, was just an ordinary general studies student. The gap was huge.

Seeing the expression on Shinso's face, Yang Xiao knew he had been struck hard. After all, Shinso's personality was a bit "gloomy," not like the so-called upright professional heroes.

"Classmate, which department are you in?"

"Goodbye..."

Shinso left without hesitation. He felt somewhat unbalanced. He had seen this person at Mount Fuji before but had no impression of him. Yet, meeting him today, he still remembered him. Who would have thought this unmemorable person would be a student in Class 1-A of the Hero Course?

Yang Xiao sighed as he watched Shinso's somewhat lonely retreating figure. He couldn't help Shinso now, but he would find a way to drag him into the Odd Jobs Shop in the future.

When Yang Xiao arrived at the door of Class 1-A of the Hero Course, only a few people were in the classroom. After entering, Yang Xiao found a seat in the corner, put his backpack in the desk, and began observing his classmates.

Several people were already in the class: Tsuyu Asui, Mashirao Ojiro, Mina Ashido, Kyoka Jiro, and Mezo Shoji. It seemed there was also someone less noticeable—Toru Hagakure?

The class was still relatively quiet at the moment. After Yang Xiao entered, the other students just glanced at him a few times but didn't initiate conversation. Clearly, everyone wasn't familiar with each other yet.

It wasn't that he wasn't excited. After all, most of the people he had met since coming to this world were ordinary passersby. Aside from the Odd Jobs Shop, the students in Class 1-A of the Hero Course were whom he most looked forward to meeting.

After all, this world revolved around U.A. High School. Although Yang Xiao knew this might not be the original My Hero Academia world but one of many parallel worlds.

After all, when he first appeared in this world, the mysterious white-haired old man felt somewhat dreamlike yet also full of doubts.

Just then, students began streaming in one after another. The classroom grew lively, and more people started talking.

"Hey, why are you here?"

Katsuki Bakugo tossed his schoolbag onto a desk in the front row, then walked up to Yang Xiao and asked, his eyes full of confusion and puzzlement.

"Did you walk into the wrong classroom? The general studies department isn't here." Bakugo added. He didn't think Yang Xiao was a student in Class 1-A of the Hero Course.

"Classmate, since I'm already sitting here, I'm naturally a student in this class." Yang Xiao said with a smile. He wasn't afraid of Bakugo.

"What did you say?" Bakugo was a bit displeased. Could it be that this guy was really a student in this class?

You had to know—he had put in a lot of effort to get first place in the entrance exam. Even if the guy in front of him had taken down a few faux villains, it was impossible for him to get into Class 1-A of the Hero Course.

Seeing this guy's indifferent expression, Bakugo felt somewhat irritated.

"What I said is true. I wouldn't humiliate myself by sitting in a class I don't belong to, right?" After saying this, Yang Xiao didn't want to continue the conversation. There was no point in discussing this further with Bakugo.

Bakugo stared at Yang Xiao for a few seconds, then returned to his seat. He wanted to see if this guy was really from this class when the teacher arrived. If he dared lie to him, then just wait!
