Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Grandmaster, the Unyielding Spirit.

Chapter 12: Grandmaster, the Unyielding Spirit.

Moments later, Muye led Jiang Xiu to a towering structure.

Entirely constructed of metal, the tower towered majestically, piercing the sky. Its eight sides evoked a unique color all their own, putting the surrounding buildings to shame.

"Let's go! Your Grandmaster is probably waiting for us inside."

"By the way, our Body Sect was once a formidable power, and our ancestors were also wealthy. Disciple, be alert and don't lose face,"

Muye instructed, striding proudly toward the Spirit Transmission Tower.

"My master's devotion to the Body Sect is truly profound. It's understandable, however, that the Body Sect is truly in decline. When I gain strength, I will definitely change this and restore its glory."

Jiang Xiu gazed at his master's back, sighing softly. Having made up his mind, he quickly followed Muye's lead.

"Your Majesty, His Majesty the Main Body and His Majesty the Phantom Brain are already waiting for you in the underground spirit world. Please follow me."

As Muye and Jiang Xiu entered the Spirit Pagoda's lobby, a beautiful, uniformed woman came to greet them. She took the initiative, leading the way, leading Jiang Xiu and the others into the elevator and heading directly underground.

With Jiang Xiu's great-uncle, Phantom Brain Douluo, by their side, they didn't have to queue up like those in the lobby to purchase spirits.

This was the advantage of joining a major power.

"Ding!"

With a soft sound, the elevator came to a steady stop. As Jiang Xiu stepped out, he was greeted by a large circular platform. Surrounding the platform were five different colored passages: white, yellow, purple, black, and red.

The woman led Jiang Xiu and Muye directly into the red passage. The guards surrounding them nodded in greeting upon seeing her, demonstrating her high status within the Spirit Pagoda.

Just as Jiang Xiu reached the end of the red passage, the scene before him suddenly shifted. He had entered a lush, verdant world, overflowing with flowers and trees, where a variety of spirit beasts roamed peacefully.

"Is this the spirit world the Spirit Pagoda has painstakingly crafted? It feels like a real world,"

Jiang Xiu murmured inwardly. In the realm of spirits, the Spirit Pagoda had reached the pinnacle. At this moment, Jiang Xiu's gaze shifted slightly.

He remembered that within the Spirit Pagoda's secret Myriad Beast Terrace, two of Tang San's "brothers" were hidden.

"Phantom Brain Douluo, I have brought His Majesty the Master."

The woman approached a tall, black-and-white robed elder and respectfully reported.

"Well, Xiao Ling, you may proceed."

The elder waved his hand and slowly turned. His eyes shone silvery-white, as calm as autumn water, and he exuded a solemn aura. It was none other than Han Tianyi, the foremost expert in the Spiritual Realm of the Spiritual Pagoda, a four-character battle armor master, and a level ninety-eight Super Douluo with the title of Phantom Brain.

"Uncle Master, long time no see. It looks like your cultivation has advanced even further. Perhaps you'll officially enter the Ultimate Douluo realm someday," Muye said, smiling.

"If you break through to Super Douluo first, I'll have less to worry about," Han Tianyi said unhappily. Then, turning his gaze to Jiang Xiu, satisfaction gleaming in his eyes.

"This is Xiaoxiu, right? Not bad, really good. Don't follow your master's lead and become obsessed with mechas,"

Han Tianyi said, approaching Jiang Xiu with a friendly expression, a stark contrast to his look towards Muye.

"Uncle Master, where's the soul beast you were talking about?"

Muye scratched his head and gave an awkward smile, changing the subject to maintain his superiority in front of his disciple.

"Don't worry, it's all ready."

Han Tianyi waved his hand gently, and a curtain of light appeared out of thin air before the three of them. Within it, a unique-looking soul beast was revealed.

Its entire body seemed shrouded in darkness, devoid of any color, shimmering faintly with a dark glow. Its bright eyes were filled with bloodshot and defiance. Despite its small size, its sharp claws now held a massive, century-old Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear.

As a pinnacle of spirit beasts, even a century old could withstand even ordinary ten-thousand-year-old spirit beasts. Yet, beneath this spirit beast's claws, the Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear offered no resistance.

With a sweep of its sharp claws, the Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear exploded, transforming into a ball of pure energy that the spirit beast swallowed.

"Is this a Night Raven?! Isn't this kind of spirit beast extinct long ago?"

Makino recognized it the moment he saw it, his expression slightly surprised.

"It should be extinct, but someone in Xingluo discovered it and eventually acquired it at a high price at our Spirit Pagoda. Its bloodline was extracted and made into a spirit,"

Han Tianyi said calmly, a glint of insight in his eyes.

"The Dark Night Raven not only possesses an extreme dark attribute, but is also rumored to possess the ability to travel through time. In other words, it possesses a trace of the extremely rare time attribute. As soon as I received your master's message, I kept it."

Han Tianyi enlarged the light screen before him and explained carefully to Jiang Xiu.

Space is king, time is supreme.

Although Jiang Xiu had never heard of this soul beast, he was well aware of the preciousness of souls with the attribute of time.

"That's great, Uncle Master, please quickly move it over here so that Xiao Xiu can integrate it."

Muye pointed at the Dark Night Raven on the light screen. Such things naturally deserved to be in his own pocket as soon as possible.

"But I must tell you in advance, this soul beast is only eight hundred years old, but it is a truly unyielding soul. You should also be aware of the uniqueness of such an unyielding soul,"

Han Tianyi said solemnly.

"Unyielding Soul... well, how about I make it your second soul?"

Upon hearing this, Muye's expression instantly grew hesitant. Unyielding Souls represent spirits that refuse to fuse with a human soul master, even at the cost of death. While these spirits are powerful, they can easily backfire on the soul master, damaging the soul master's spiritual sea.

"Xiao Xiu, I also think your master's suggestion is feasible. Souls can be upgraded to increase their age. It's not too late to fuse them once you've gained strength." Han Tianyi looked at Jiang Xiu and offered his own suggestion.

With the existence of the Soul Ascension Tower, the age of a soul ring is no longer a priority for soul masters; quality is paramount.

"Master, Great-Uncle, I'd like to try."

Jiang Xiu shook his head slightly, his tone firm.

With the Shadow King by his side, if he couldn't even absorb an Unyielding Soul, there was no point in even contemplating mastering the abyss or achieving godhood.

"You, hey, uncle, please forgive me. The child has his own opinions. Why don't you let him try?"

Muye sighed, but his eyes were shining with joy. If Jiang Xiu really retreated in the face of danger, it would prove that he did not have the heart of a strong man. No matter how talented he was, he was doomed to not go far.

But before Han Tianyi could speak, light and shadow emerged, and two figures walked in from the outside world, accompanied by voices.

"Na'er, you should choose your soul carefully later. The first soul is very important for a soul master."

Han Tianyi's eyes were shocked, and the mental power around him surged. He grabbed the Dark Night Raven on the screen through the air and hid it in an instant.

Jiang Xiu looked at the two people who came in, but his expression was suddenly shocked.
