The next day, morning.
Outside, the sound of a car was heard.
Alan Folker and Hela were having breakfast when they heard the commotion outside, and instinctively turned their heads to look out the window, their gazes subtly changing, seemingly a natural reaction for both of them.
However, Hela quickly calmed down, as in her eyes, they were just small fries, nothing new. Besides, they had indeed been investigating the area recently for any suspicious activity after the meteorite fall.
Alan Folker frowned slightly, not expecting Coulson to find his address so quickly.
The next second.
"Ding-dong!"
The doorbell rang.
Alan Folker finished his last bite of bun, walked to the door, and slowly opened it.
The moment the door opened, a smiling face greeted Alan Folker.
Coulson said in a friendly manner, "Good afternoon, Mr. Alan Folker, I am S.H.I.E.L.D. Senior Agent Coulson. We have met before."
"Heh heh, indeed!"
As Alan Folker finished speaking, his gaze turned to Quake behind him. She seemed to have changed into a different outfit, but it was still professional attire, revealing her fair thighs, and her perfect figure could not be contained by her white shirt.
"Please come in!"
Daisy showed a brilliant smile and quickly walked in, but upon seeing the young woman inside, her smile instantly froze.
"Hela, you should rest. I'll handle things here," Alan Folker said, looking at Hela as she walked out of the kitAlan.
Hela smiled kindly, then turned and went back to her room. But S.H.I.E.L.D., she had been here for so many years, she naturally knew of their existence. When she first came to Midgard, she almost had a conflict with S.H.I.E.L.D.
Alan Folker arranged for Coulson and Daisy to sit in the living room and asked, "Please sit!"
"Mr. Alan Folker, we are actually here today to understand what happened to you at noon…" Daisy sat down, looking at Alan Folker in front of her, and began to speak.
But Alan Folker, engrossed in clearing the dishes from the table, completely ignored Daisy.
Coulson, seeing Alan Folker's impolite actions, seemed to maintain a normal expression, signaling Daisy to wait patiently, as such frustrating situations were common.
A few minutes later, Alan Folker walked out and naturally sat in front of them, his calm expression glancing at the two people before him.
Daisy glanced at Alan Folker, smiled awkwardly, and continued, "The accident occurred around 12:05 PM in New York. According to Midtown High School's schedule, you should have been in class. Why were you in the alley?"
"Also, according to our investigation, you have forgone your car and chosen to walk this past month, which would indeed take you through that path, but the timeline doesn't match," Coulson added.
Alan Folker looked surprised, thought for a moment, then showed a troubled expression and replied, "You probably haven't asked at the school about this, because at that time I was preparing to go home for lunch. Besides, I had no classes in the afternoon, so I was already off work."
Upon hearing this, Daisy frowned. Recalling her previous consultation at the school, it matched Alan Folker's answer. Also, Alan Folker had indeed been taking that route for the past few days. His motive and the timing were all without any issues.
Coulson displayed a calm smile and said, "Does Mr. Alan Folker know about the meteorite?"
"Of course, I'm also very curious about strange things," Alan Folker replied honestly.
"We suspect there's a connection between the meteorite and those alien creatures. So far, you are the only witness, and these creatures' abilities are unknown. I imagine you saw their abilities, but they were inexplicably killed. Don't you find that very strange?"
"It is indeed very strange. I hope you can investigate it as soon as possible. Besides, I don't want to be scared again," Alan Folker shook his head, showing a fearful expression, and replied.
At this moment, Hela sat in the cradle in the bedroom, quietly listening to the conversation outside. It seemed they were talking about Alan Folker encountering alien creatures, and he became a witness.
"We are currently conducting an investigation. Besides that, Mr. Alan Folker, do you have any other discoveries?" Coulson asked again, his expression calm.
Alan Folker paused for a few seconds, trying to recall, but then shook his head hard, troubled, and said, "I was really scared at the time, so I didn't pay attention at all. You know, if a normal person jumps from a building, covered in blood, they might go crazy from fear."
"Alright, then we were a bit presumptuous. If you discover anything, please be sure to tell us immediately. This is my business card," Coulson stood up and said in a friendly manner.
Based on Alan Folker's demeanor, no information could be obtained, but Coulson wouldn't give up so easily.
"Then we'll take our leave," Coulson stood up, said a simple farewell, and left the apartment with Daisy.
Their steps were hurried as they walked towards the SUV.
Coulson's friendly expression from earlier vanished, replaced by a cold look as he turned to Daisy and said, "This man is very suspicious. Monitor his every move twenty-four hours a day."
Daisy nodded vigorously and replied seriously, "Understood!"
Alan Folker stood by the window, watching Coulson and Daisy leave, and fell into a deep thought.
Given S.H.I.E.L.D.'s nature, they would never give up this lead so easily. They even had reason to suspect that he had indeed seen some unknown things.
"How annoying!"
Hela walked out from the doorway and hugged Alan Folker. This action gradually calmed his angry mood. She asked in a low voice, "Did they make you unhappy?"
Upon hearing this, Alan Folker turned slightly to look at Hela's worried expression, revealing a sunny smile, and gently said, "How could they? They are just investigating the area because of the meteorite. Nothing else."
Hela nodded, the hint of murderous intent in her heart instantly faded, and then she enjoyed the warmth in Alan Folker's arms.
"Alright, it's getting late. I have to go to the Kendo Club."
Alan Folker felt Hela at peace in his arms, but he had to interrupt their tender moment. The current situation was very tense.
A mysterious meteorite appeared in Queens, and he encountered very powerful creatures. He did not know what he would face. Currently, his acting progress was a bit slow. If he could reach 50% of the acting progress, he would have more confidence in facing unknown dangers.
Hela let go of Alan Folker, kissed him on the cheek, and gently urged, "Go early and come back early. I'll make you a big meal tonight."
As she finished speaking, her face flushed, even a little shy, then she ran back into the house.
"Big meal?" Alan Folker smiled at the corner of his mouth. It was clear he understood Hela's meaning. This big meal was truly enticing. He would definitely enjoy it slowly tonight.
