Chapter 8 - Karola

"Boom!"

A loud bang echoed in the distance, accompanied by a rising pillar of Fire.

Alan Folker instinctively stopped, his expression tensing. He quickly ascended a sky bridge and gazed at the scene in the distance. He had initially thought it was just a regular criminal pursuit, but how could such a massive energy impact occur so suddenly?

"What's going on?" Alan Folker furrowed his brow and exclaimed.

In the distance, raging flames cast a bright light across the dark city.

Spider-Man was sent flying by a powerful shockwave, crashing heavily onto the ground. He then bounced dozens of meters before landing in a patch of grass, where he immediately fell unconscious.

This energy swept through an entire block. At that moment, police cars and Spider-Man were chasing a criminal down that very street. No one detected anything unusual; everything happened so suddenly.

How many people were on that street? They were all reduced to ashes in the explosion.

Although Alan Folker knew the Marvel Universe was dangerous, this was the first time he had truly witnessed it, seeing with his own eyes how fragile human life was in this cruel World.

Daisy was startled by the explosion, her expression tense as she quickly contacted Coulson.

"Coulson, did you see the video? The entire street is in ruins. What exactly happened?"

Coulson's brow was furrowed. As S.H.I.E.L.D., he was naturally informed of the situation at the scene immediately. He frowned and said, "Before the explosion, we detected a massive surge of energy released from underground. The energy was very strong and incredibly fast. We were already evacuating, but there wasn't enough time. We could only watch as everyone on that street vanished."

Upon hearing this, Daisy's brow furrowed. She never expected such a thing to happen. She gazed at the flames in the distance and said in a deep voice, "Is it related to that meteorite, the vanished meteorite?"

"Currently, we cannot confirm if that's the reason, but it's clearly not benevolent." Coulson looked at the screen, at the city engulfed in flames, where not even cries for help could be heard, only the crackling sound of burning.

Fury's face was dark as he coldly looked at Coulson, saying indifferently, "It seems we've encountered a very troublesome enemy. I'll have Tony assist with this."

"Right now, the enemy is in the Shadow, and we are in the open. This is very disadvantageous for us," Coulson pondered for a moment before replying.

"What if the dozens of mysterious creature corpses that were killed caused their displeasure, and now they are seeking revenge?" Fury thought deeply for a moment, naturally considering this possibility first.

"Revenge. Indeed, all signs point to the mysterious creatures. Perhaps your guess is correct," Coulson mused.

"Coulson, I'm giving you a week. I hope to receive good news," Fury leaned back in his recliner, his face shrouded in gloom. This was another very tricky matter.

Meanwhile, on the street sky bridge.

Alan Folker's usually calm face showed a slight frown as he watched the cruel flames engulf the street. His heart was restless. At that moment, he seemed to understand why superheroes voluntarily participated in and protected the World—everyone, it turned out, had a sense of justice within them.

Suddenly, Alan Folker sharply turned his head. He seemed to smell the scent of a mysterious creature in the air, transforming into an afterimage and vanishing from the bridge.

Daisy had just finished reporting the situation here. When she turned around, Alan Folker on the sky bridge was already gone. "Report, the target has been lost."

Coulson looked troubled, stuck in a predicament. He dialed Natasha's number.

"Natasha, can you find Diana today?"

Natasha listened to Coulson's message and nodded slightly, responding, "Alright, I've got it covered."

In a brightly lit room.

Natasha hung up the phone and walked to a closet, taking out a black catsuit.

She shed her clothes, skillfully put on the leather black catsuit, then opened another cabinet filled with various equipment.

Natasha carefully selected weapons, attaching them to her leather suit. After everything was ready, she quickly left the room.

On a brightly lit street.

Natasha rode a black motorcycle, weaving through the crowded streets. The entire Queens was in chaos due to the explosion. People were panicking, afraid that the next explosion would be where they were.

A gloomy tall building.

A Shadow darted through, moving like a swift wind.

Alan Folker followed the strong scent, chasing it from the sky bridge to the outskirts before stopping.

The surroundings were deserted; only moonlight illuminated sparse points of light on the dark road.

A graceful figure appeared before Alan Folker. She was no longer in the Kendo Club instructor's attire, but fully armored, resembling some kind of mech, yet distinct from typical mech equipment.

"Well, are you satisfied with our warning?" Diana said with a triumphant smile.

Upon hearing this, Alan Folker's brow furrowed, but he still wore a faint smile, calmly replying, "It was you, after all. But why did you do it?"

As he spoke, his eyes met Diana's. The name sounded familiar. Wasn't Diana Wonder Woman? That's a superhero from the neighboring DC Universe. How could she appear here?

If her abilities were also like Wonder Woman's, then it was a classic channel crossover, and to appear as a villain, it was truly interesting.

"Our Karola Clan has been searching the Universe for new life-bearing Planets. But while we were wandering, we were attacked by the Kree Empire fleet, forced into a black hole. Our energy was almost depleted, and we had no choice but to land on this Planet," Diana recalled the previous events, answering gravely.

Kree Empire, could it be Ronan? This leader of the Kree Empire Accuser Corps. He never expected Karola to be hunted by Ronan's fleet.

Alan Folker's heart trembled. If Ronan appeared now, he would be completely outmatched, not even in the same league.

"Later, we unexpectedly discovered that this Planet possessed a very strong power, so we began to try and merge with them."

"Karola?" Alan Folker scrutinized Diana. Her appearance didn't match, nor did her attire. She looked more like a Kendo master. However, he was still quite curious. After all, if Blood Queen had appeared, Wonder Woman wasn't out of the question.

"Do you know Wonder Woman?"

Diana showed a surprised expression and asked in return, "Who is that?"

It wasn't her, after all!

"And who is Blood Queen?" Alan Folker continued to press.

Diana shook her head helplessly, somewhat impatiently saying, "Since you are a dying man, I can let you die with a clearer understanding."

"Blood Queen is one of our leaders. She is the greatest dark magic user!"

As she spoke, she instantly appeared before Alan Folker, no longer wasting words. A powerful punch landed directly in front of him.

Alan Folker grabbed Diana's arm, his expression shocked. This speed and strength truly resembled Wonder Woman.
