Inside the coffee shop, the environment was serene.
This was the quietest place around the school, apart from the library, and it was frequented by many teachers and students studying.
"Mr. Alan, last night we discovered another Karola corpse. Her cause of death was being struck by lightning, which caused her entire body to be scorched and lose all signs of life," Coulson said directly as he sat on the sofa.
Alan Folker nodded slightly in response, "That's certainly tragic. But Karola is quite a common name. Haven't you investigated what kind of life form they belong to yet?"
Coulson's expression was slightly awkward as he smiled, "They are very mysterious. Currently, we can only track two death incidents."
"S.H.I.E.L.D.'s efficiency is much lower than I imagined," Alan Folker sighed, a look of disappointment on his face.
Coulson pursed his lips and continued, "However, yesterday, where the meteorite fell, there was a surge of energy. This energy doesn't seem to have diminished at all..."
"Wait!" Alan Folker interrupted Coulson, asking in confusion, "Why are you telling me this? I'm just a witness. I didn't say I would investigate this with you."
"Mr. Alan, there's no need to hide it. You suddenly disappeared last night because you went to kill that Karola, didn't you?" Coulson said, looking as if he had Alan Folker figured out. He wanted to be this direct to sow doubt in the other party's mind.
According to psychology, this is called psychological judgment, making the other party feel that you already know the truth completely, and at the same time, guiding them to speak the facts.
Alan Folker shook his head helplessly and replied, "As expected of Coulson, your way of speaking is like interrogating a criminal, but it's useless against me."
"As for last night, after I left the Kendo Club, I returned to my apartment and tutored a student from my class named Peter Parker. I didn't go home until very late."
Alan Folker finished speaking, a scornful smile on his face, and continued, "I have witnesses, you know. Although they are neighbors, they wouldn't cover for me."
Upon hearing this, Coulson's face darkened, his expression somewhat grave. He pondered the credibility of Alan Folker's words. Indeed, the gap between Daisy losing the target and his return was less than 20 minutes.
To return from the crime scene to the apartment within those 20 minutes would be quite difficult, unless one possessed abilities like the Flash. Otherwise, it was hard to imagine achieving such a feat.
And just then, outside a brightly lit factory.
A woman dressed in black, exuding an aura of death, walked step by step towards the factory.
Monitoring every move from above the factory, when they saw the Goddess of Death Hela appear, they immediately became alert, and the entire factory stirred into commotion.
"Who's there?" A furious roar, and a team immediately flew out from the sky, launching a fierce attack on the Goddess of Death Hela on the ground.
A barrier formed on the surface of the Goddess of Death Hela's body, and any attack outside the barrier turned into ashes.
Although her power was sealed, she still had wisdom, memories, and magic. She could even release divine power, because she was constantly breaking through her own seal.
You might think Hela would obediently stay home watching TV, doing chores, and cleaning, but in reality, she was always trying to break through the seal within her body.
Her appearance here today was clearly due to what Alan Folker had said earlier, because she had been following the news and also knew what had happened in the alley.
As a witness, Alan Folker was bound to become a target for mysterious creatures.
So, before they could find Alan Folker, she would eliminate them completely—this was Hela's intention and action.
"Boom!"
Several dark energy releases formed energy spheres that instantly struck down the mysterious creatures floating in mid-air.
Hela appeared so relaxed; the power of these mysterious creatures was as fragile as ants. Their bodies fell from the sky one by one, crashing to the ground, lifeless.
However, this was just the beginning. When Hela detected the mysterious creatures, she had already planned this. Today was just a trip out to buy groceries, and incidentally, to clear some obstacles for Alan Folker.
Facing Hela's counterattack, the current offensive seemed utterly vulnerable.
The power levels were completely incomparable.
But the Karola Clan had no idea why they had encountered such a powerful enemy. What puzzled them was the murderous intent of the human woman before them.
"Bang!"
A black afterimage, and dozens of Karola warriors were all killed, yet the graceful figure remained completely unscathed. Her movements were effortless, instantly creating powerful energy impacts all around.
"These wastes dare to touch my person? They're courting death!" Hela's tone was cold, tinged with murderous intent, as she watched the Karola warriors continuously rush towards her, unleashing powerful magic.
Compared to divine power, magic was more convenient. After all, if she were to use divine power to kill these trash and be discovered by Odin, she might not even be able to protect Alan Folker's safety.
Hela's divine power was strong, and her magical attainments were inherently high. She didn't need incantations to cast magic; powerful magic manifested with just a thought.
Although these Karola warriors possessed formidable combat power, they had no magic immunity. Thus, Hela only needed to use her power to keep her distance from them, resulting in a complete annihilation.
"Boom!"
In just a dozen seconds, all the Karola warriors who rushed out of the factory were brutally killed, with no survivors.
Under the powerful dark magic, they didn't even have a chance to struggle, one by one burning into charcoal under fireballs.
"You, who exactly are you?" A burly Karola walked out, vigilantly questioning Hela, who floated in mid-air like a god looking down on all, "
Hela glanced down at the Karola. A scornful smile appeared on her cold face, and then blades formed all around, directly piercing through the Karola's body.
Under the impact of the sharp blades, the Karola's entire body rose from the ground, was pushed back hundreds of meters, and finally, his body was plastered against the wall, hanging there, completely losing all signs of life.
Hela slowly landed on the ground and walked into the factory.
The surrounding Karola warriors watched her with fierce eyes, yet none dared to step forward, for to do so meant death.
She walked to the center, stood on a high point, turned to face the crowd behind her, and said loudly, "I don't care what you've come to this Planet for, but if you dare to touch a single hair on one person—"
Hela paused for a second after speaking, pointed to the distant corpses, and said coldly, "—that will be your fate."
The crowd exchanged glances. Their memories were shared, but it was clear that someone among them had offended a powerful enemy, which had triggered the slaughter.
