Kavya's POV:
Today was worse than ever; that particular moment ruined my whole day. Even in the cafeteria I could see them making fun of me.
That bastard monkey Sidd said "bang-cock" just to embarrass me.
I had a lot of thoughts while driving to the library. I reached the parking and saw that there was already a bike parked. Maybe there's a customer inside.
I went inside, and a boy was standing near the counter talking to Aunt Maya. her gaze shifted towards me as I entered, and the boy turned.
Why does his face seem familiar? Have I seen him before?
"Hey, Kavya! You are here. Meet Rishi, he will be joining us from today," she said.
"Oh!!,Hello," I said awkwardly.
I was trying to remember where I had seen him. I got so lost that I stared at him for almost a minute until he said, "Is there something on my face?".
I suddenly got out of zoned-out mode. A bit embarrassed.
Aunt left saying, "Kavya, help him to understand the work and arrangement here".
I moved toward the counter, put my bag over there and signalled him to do the same.
Then we moved toward the last section of the library, where the stack of books was placed on floor.
"We have to arrange books in a specific order", I said authoritatively. I want him to take me seriously.
"This complete rack is for fiction. First segregate books on the basis of science fiction, comedy, romance, etc. then arrange them in different shelves. Understood?" I said.
He nodded. Somehow again, I ended up focusing on his face, trying to remember where I had seen him.
"Can you stop staring at me. I am not even that handsome," he said. I came back to my senses. I really want to bump my head on the wall.
I am not ready for conversation, but I can not even calm my curiosity. So I just said it out
"Sorry, but I feel like I have seen you earlier"
He blushed and said, "That's true, I know you. You are Mrs. Neelam's daughter, right?"
"What?", I said in shock. how can he know me when I am unable to recognise him? He even knows my mother.
"How…" before I could finish. "Kavya, please attend the customer", Aunt called me from the counter.
I looked at Rishi with a sad look. I hate suspense. "I will tell you once work is done", he said with assurance. His voice was calm and deep. I guess he is older than me.
"Thanks", I murmured and went straight to attend the customer.
