Chapter 5 - Chapter:5 MORE GRUDGES?

Kavya's POV:

What happened yesterday still makes me embarrassed. Honestly, I don't want to come to school today, but for the sake of studying, I have to.

I have already completed the notes, shared by Kashish, which took me until 1 AM to complete.

I was thinking all this while sitting on my desk, half asleep as usual, when someone sat near me. I shooed my gaze toward the person.

Oh lord !!!

Sidd again!! Does he love to trouble me? After everything happened, he got the nerve to sit beside me. No sorry?

"Don't look at me, I don't want to explain myself", he said after catching my gaze.

"Maybe apology isn't in your dictionary? Or you intentionally did that," I said with a sulking face.

"You have already made up your mind, so there are no excuses from my side", he said in a bored tone and moved outside.

I put my head down on the desk when I felt someone tap the desk. I suddenly woke up and saw Kashish sliding a chocolate towards me with a smile.

"Thank you", all I said, and she left.

But I don't even know what it is for?

Well!! No need for explanation after all, chocolate doesn't need any occasion.

 Kavya's POV:

We are having an English lecture. I like English, but mine is really very bad. English has been my very weak subject because my previous school didn't pay much attention to it. All I know is by myself only.

"Today we will do a reading of a chapter so that we can improve our vocabulary and speaking skills," the teacher said.

"You girl start reading". She pointed at me.

Damn, the worst part ever, I am really bad at this, what if I mispronounce something?

I stood up, swallowed hard and began reading "This story is a travelogue of .....". I kept on speaking perfectly until I reached the last line of the paragraph "The travellers savoured authentic cuisine in the bus-telling streets of Bang-cock".

I spoke Bang-cock instead of Bangkok. And the whole class erupted into laughter. I could see the teacher suppressing her giggles. This made me really embarrassed.

I felt like something was dragging me back, my throat was sore, and it felt like poking needles on my neck. My anxiety triggered. I sat down, tried really hard, but still one drop of tears fell down my cheek.

This is the last time I will feel this way; you all will see me mastering this one day. I promised myself.
