Chapter 1 - Chapter -1 The return of the Sword Emperor

This is the Blue Planet, the world where the Murim Realm was existed.

And I am Kamish, the leader of Murim United, the one who once ruled over this planet.

Back in the day, countless monsters lived on this world. Over time, I grew stronger and faced every calamity that appeared. I even killed two of the Asura leaders — beings of pure destruction. They were incredibly powerful; even I doubted whether I could defeat all seven of them.

The leader of the Asuras, Igrah, eventually escaped to other planets due to the low mana density on this one.

I died in my seventies… but was reincarnated as a child on another Blue Planet.

At first, I knew nothing about this new world. But soon after my birth, I realized something horrifying — calamities had begun here as well, and the mana density of this world was far greater than the last.

That could only mean one thing: Igrah had come to this planet too.

However, due to the high mana concentration, the Asuras couldn't appear directly. Instead, they manifested through dungeons.

That's when the Deities intervened. They sided with humanity and began placing powerful artifacts inside the dungeons so that humans could defend themselves.

I was only three months old when I came to that conclusion. But I knew we had around six years before the larger dungeons would start appearing.

Time passed quickly. Humanity began to awaken — people gained extraordinary powers, and the world started calling them Hunters.

To maintain order, governments across the globe formed Hunter Associations. Hunters were ranked by strength, from E-rank (the weakest) to S-rank (the strongest).

Fourteen years passed. By then, I had only managed to recover about ten percent of my former swordsmanship. My father, a frontline doctor, disappeared during a major battle. My mother fell into depression, so I lived with my cousin.

Due to financial struggles, I worked as a porter — someone who carries supplies and clears debris during dungeon raids. Because of that, I couldn't focus on growing stronger.

But today was different. Today, I was going to make real money. For the first time, I was joining a D-rank dungeon, the highest-ranked dungeon I had ever entered.

Our team consisted of a tank, two damage dealers, a mage, a healer, and me — the porter. I hadn't yet been evaluated at the Hunter Association, but I planned to test my rank after this raid.

As we entered the dungeon, I realized something interesting — my teammates were all students of Zhyrax Academy, a school every child dreamed of attending to become a Hunter.

I pushed that thought aside and focused on the mission. Everything went smoothly at first, but as we neared the boss room, C-rank monsters began to appear in large numbers.

The damage dealers fought hard, and after a grueling battle, we managed to survive — barely. But then the boss appeared.

It was Fox Fang, a B-rank wind-element monster. (Monsters with elemental attributes are far stronger than normal ones.)

The damage dealers were exhausted. The tank was badly injured. The boss targeted our healer first, but before it could strike, I stepped in.

I slashed my sword against its claws, blocking the attack — but Fox Fang's strength was overwhelming. I wasn't sure if I could survive.

Pushing my body to its limit, I recalled something I had read: its weak spot was its leg. If I injured it there, it would lose speed and be unable to use its wind element properly.

I struck its leg with all my strength. The tank immediately charged in to hold it down while the damage dealers aimed for its head.

But Fox Fang began chanting a wind spell. In that moment, I remembered my past life — my training, my battles, my power. I gathered every ounce of mana I had and struck.

My sword pierced its head, shattering it into ten pieces.

Exhausted and barely standing, I looked at the monster's remains. In its chest, I saw it — a glowing Wind Element Core. I picked it up carefully.

After that, the team carried me out of the dungeon and rushed me to the hospital.
