Rion Vale's POV
I stand in front of the full-length mirror, adjusting the lapels of my coat and fixing my cufflinks. The reflection staring back at me is everything the world expects — a perfect CEO. Composed. Commanding. Dangerous.
My gaze drifts toward the phone resting on the table. No calls. No messages. He's so stubborn. Again.
No matter how many times I tell him — how many times I make him realize that he's mine — he refuses to accept it. That we belong to each other. That even if we're not lovers yet, we need each other.
But Evan Lee would rather choke on his pride than admit it.
A slow, dangerous smile curves my lips. "You'll understand soon enough, kitten," I murmur, tightening my tie. "You'll realize how much you need me."
Today is the grand collaboration party between the Lee and Vale corporations — the biggest event of the year. The world will see two empires shaking hands. But for me, it's more than business. It's the next step toward him.
