Cassian's POV
"Bring in some medics to take care of the bruises, and lock the bars nicely. If she is missing by tomorrow, you will kiss your lives goodbye," I said, as I disappeared from the dungeon.
As I was about to get to my room, Lucas badged into my house. He looked like he was in a hurry.
"What is it this time around, Lucas? One more bad news?"
"I think…"
He started to speak, but suddenly, my mother burst in with her men. Of course, how could I have forgotten the reason behind Luciana's sudden guts?
"Cassian, I knew you were a monster, well-groomed by your father, but I never knew you were exactly like he was," she yelled.
"I suggest you calm your nerves, woman. I'm giving you the respect because I lived with you for most of my life, even if I knew you weren't my mother. You took care of me like you were mine, and I still pitied the way Dad handled you," I answered her coldly.
