Prologue
The sky above the Azure Devil Realm burned with a thousand streams of auroras, as though heaven itself had torn open a curtain to watch. Beneath the endless expanse, six young disciples stood in formation at the base of the Heavenly Ascension Platform, their hair bound high, robes rippling with the faint glow of spiritual energy. Behind them, four elders lingered in shadow—silent pillars of strength.
At the center, Lin Feng, robed in black and silver, stood calm, his heterochromatic eyes blazing with fire and ice.
Before them, the sect masters of the six great sects gathered—towering presences, each radiating a distinct aura that pressed heavily on the disciples' shoulders.
A broad laugh thundered across the platform.
"Han Jinhai! Don't disgrace the Crimson Flame bloodline by wasting time chasing mortal pleasures. If you must drink, drink victory; if you must burn, burn your enemies."
"Remember to be the flame that burns, but never ever burn the innocent. This is the way of the sect," Sect Master Huo Jianshan of the Crimson Flame Sect, a burly man with a voice like thunder, broke the silence first.
From the opposite side, Sect Mistress Lan Yuan of the Frozen Moon Palace rolled her eyes, her gaze carrying a hint of mockery.
"Hot-headed as always, Huo Jianshan. Must you shout as if courage is found in noise?" Her gaze softened as she turned to Lin Feng. "Lin Feng, my disciple, your heart walks with you. She has been tested through deceit and illusions. Let her not stray. The mortal world is full of mirages, and even the brightest flame may be smothered without clarity."
Sect Master Zhao Qingtian of the Storm Saber Sect chuckled coldly, his silver hair gleamingunder the immortal sun.
"Hmph. Words of comfort are wasted. The mortal world is a pit of weakness anddistraction. Remember, if any of you are foolish enough to be swayed by the mortal emotions, love, friendship or pity. Then you're no disciples of mine. Zhao lengxuan, if you disgrace the sect, don't return!"distraction. Remember, if any of you are foolish enough to be swayed by the mortal emotions, love, friendship or pity. Then you're no disciples of mine. Zhao lengxuan, if you disgrace the sect, don't return!"
A tense silence fell, his own disciple bowed his head in acknowledgement, unshaken.
Sect Mistress Mei Ronghua of the Thousand Shadow Pavilion tilted her head, lips curved into a knowing smile.
"Old Zhao, you always spot poison before sending your disciples away. Do you truly think dear breeds loyalty?" Her gaze flickered to Mei xuelian, her assassin disciple. " My child, shadows are not only for killing, they are for protecting what cannot be seen. Do not let arrogance blind you. Protect your sect brothers and sister ,even if they do not notice".
The sect leaders bickering grew shaped, voice rising, their long standing rivalries surfacing in jabs and sneers. The disciples exchanged glances, some nervous, some amused and others indifferent. Han jinhai leaned towards Wu mingyu and whispered just loud enough for others to hear.
"If this goes on, we won't need to fight demons in the mortal world, our masters would destroy each other first"
A suppressed chuckle rippled through the group, even drawing a brief, almost invisible smile from the cold Zhao lengxuan.
Finally, the grand elder of Dual Sword sect, the strongest and most mysterious sect in Azure Veil Realm,it is said that all their disciples are dual elements cultivator. Elder Hong raised his staff and space cracked. His voice carried the weight of mountains and Oceans.
"Enough! Today is not for rivalry. Today, the realm entrust it's hope to these young ones. Lin Feng, disciples, subordinates, you go not mearly as cultivators, but as the guidance of the son of Destiny. The mortal realm does not know your names, yet it's future may rest upon them. Walk with caution, walk with strength. And remember...you are the bridge between heaven and earth".
