Chapter 1 - Alternate Universe -Part 1

In a classroom, Fors and Audrey were surrounded by a bunch of students who wanted to communicate with them. Audrey was used to dealing with people like this, but Fors, who was already tired and hungry, excused herself.

Of course, she wasn't planning on going home, instead, she was going to the carnival near the school to buy some of her favorite food and enjoy some of the events there.

Just as Fors was about to step out of the classroom, she collided with someone and almost fell. She quickly composed herself and saw the person she had bumped into.

It was a man with long hair and dark eyes, his face smooth and clear, without a single blemish. It was her classmate, Klein.

Although she wasn't close with him, as he is the silent type who doesn't socialize with everyone, he left an impression on her nonetheless. They both have a similar personality, they both aren't that much of a social animal. Of course, because of Audrey, Fors was always dragged into a situation where she had to communicate with people.

Klein, who bumped into Fors, bowed his head and, without any expression, apologized: "It was my mistake, sorry. I was zoning out."

"No worries. If I'm not wrong, you're friends with Edwina, right?"

Fors eyed him and asked.

Klein was taken aback by For's question but when he thought about it, it wasn't that hard to guess why she knows about it. Edwina was famously a bookish quiet senior from the Literature department. She was one of the few girls Klein was with in this school. This was partly because he joined the literature club.

Also, Klein's brother was a moody man who liked to read and would read stories for all his siblings, so from a very young age, Klein was already exposed to literature and was quite fond of it.

"Oh yeah. Is there any problem?"

"Not really. But I heard that the literature club is still open for a spot, is that true?

Klein pondered for a moment and answered.

" If I remember correctly, there's a vacant spot. Should I tell her that you're joining?"

He didn't find it strange that this girl in front of him was asking a question, since Edwina was a famous senior whom everyone had a crush on.

Fors on the other hand, was also thinking if joining the club would take away most of her precious time. After reviewing her schedule, she spoke.

"If it's not a problem for you, I would appreciate it."

Klein shook his head.

"It's fine. If that's all then I'll be going."

After saying those words, he immediately left her behind and entered the classroom. Fors watched from the peripheral vision of her eyes and saw that he was rummaging through his locker. Fors, uninterested in his business, left the school and went to the Carnival.

She felt the cozy air of the night and the noise of the children in the street. Somehow, she was a bit lonely.

...

Klein, on his way home, was calmly walking through the street. In his hand, he was holding a tightly wrapped box. In the box, there was a ripped-out paper with something written on it:

From: Klein

To: Lumian

This was a gift Klein prepared for his brother, Lumian. Of course, he chose it carefully, without telling his 3 brothers and sisters.

Recalling about Lumian's birthday last year, chuckle escaped Klein's mouth.

The last time they were discussing their gift for him, Roselle stole Klein's idea, calling it innovative. Of course, Grisha had to step in and give him a new gift idea instead.

But Klein knew that Grisha got that idea from Amanises but gave it to Roselle to piss her off. Of course, Amanises didn't let go of the grudge and once locked the bathroom door while Grisha was taking a bath.

Safe to say, Grisha never tried doing it again.

However, despite all of these normal events in their life, Klein and his siblings had a secret they'd rather keep hidden. They aren't normal siblings.

However, does that change the fact that they are his brother and sister?

He loves them to the point where he was willing to waste his precious money just to give them gifts.

Klein shook his head and slowly walked through the street under the dim illumination of the moonlight.

Somehow, he feels excited for the future.
