Chapter 7 - The First Encounter

The book he was holding fell with a soft thud onto the grass beside him.

Rong Xingyu's whole body spun dizzily as he fell into the arms of this unfamiliar man.

The man caught him steadily in a princess hug position.

Rong Xingyu: "..."

Rong Xingyu: "???"

This situation felt almost like a staged coincidence and it was actually Rong Xingyu who had moved first.

Due to the momentum, Rong Xingyu's head leaned against the man's chest, his black hair soft and resting on the man's arm.

He should have immediately gotten up, but Rong Xingyu couldn't take his eyes off the man he was meeting for the first time. He was almost mesmerized.

He was so handsome, Rong Xingyu thought in awe.

The man had sharp brows and star-like eyes, yet his long hair gave him a beauty that transcended gender.

It wasn't feminine at all. Rong Xingyu felt at a loss for words. He realized that none of the celebrities he had seen on TV in his past life could compare.

"This lttle classmate..."

Who was calling him?

The man's beautiful eyes curved with a faint smile. Rong Xingyu watched the man's thin lips move as he called him "little classmate" again.

"N-No, I'm sorry!"

Rong Xingyu wriggled out of his arms with blushing face. He hadn't even fully regained his balance yet and bent down to pick up the book that had fallen onto the grass, intending to slip away.

"Little classmate, please wait."

Hearing the man's low and deep voice, Rong Xingyu felt as if his feet were glued to the ground.

He turned around but kept his head lowered, unwilling to look and his voice was barely audible like a mosquito's: "…Hmm?"

"Did I scare you just now?" The man stepped closer, closing the distance between them. "I only came to ask for directions and didn't expect to disturb your rest. I'm really sorry."

Rong Xingyu's toes felt like they were going to blossom flowers from being stared at so intensely. He shook his head, "It's… it's fine…"

Thinking that his previous self was fairly familiar with the campus, Rong Xingyu added quietly, "Y-You still need directions?"

"Then I'll trouble you, little classmate," the man said with a low smile. "Could you tell me how to get to Qingfeng Building?"

Rong Xingyu looked up. He had intended to point in one direction, but then realized reaching Qingfeng Building required several more turns. While clutching his book tightly, he didn't know why he just blurted out, "I'll take you… it's… a little far…"

A slight stutter when nervous had always been Rong Xingyu's old problem. Even in this new body, it was the same. He felt a little annoyed and simply shut his mouth.

"Thank… thank you so much. Qibao Dwith School is so big. It's my first time here today. I didn't expect to almost get lost."

Rong Xingyu gave the man a small smile and asked shyly, "Are you a teacher?"

Although he didn't know much about fashion the well-fitted suit the man wore clearly looked expensive.
