Chapter 1 - Chapter One: First Arrival

"Patriarch! Patriarch! She's given birth! The mistress has given birth to a young master!"

Accompanied by the maid's shouts, a stern-faced, rather burly middle-aged man, disregarding his image as patriarch, pushed open the delivery room door and rushed in.

Inside the delivery room, a gentle-looking woman lay on the bed, panting, her long hair damp and clinging to her skin, her face somewhat pale.

However, when the woman saw the man enter, a happy smile involuntarily bloomed on her cheeks, and she softly said, "Chōnen, look at our child."

"Good! Good!"

The man rubbed his hands, looking a bit flustered. A maid holding the baby quickly handed it over.

"His eyes look like yours, but his nose is quite like mine. But why isn't this son crying? Cry... Come on, cry for your old man..." As he spoke, he poked the baby's wrinkled skin with his finger.

As if to comply with the man's request, the baby let out a wail. However, its mouth opened and closed, unlike a typical newborn that just cries with its mouth wide open. But the man was a new father, so he didn't find it unusual.

As for why the baby's mouth was opening and closing... that's because our transmigrator protagonist was cursing the transmigration god... In short, before he transmigrated, he was a genuine 'demolition second generation' (heir to properties acquired through urban redevelopment), with a car and a house, living off rental income. For a shut-in, this kind of life was like a dream come true.

Who knew that one night, while staying up late watching anime, he went to the toilet, fell asleep on the commode, and when he woke up, he felt as if he was being squeezed out of a narrow tube (the birth canal)... After five seconds of staring into the eyes of his cheap father in this life, the protagonist confirmed he had transmigrated. And so... "********* (ignore the above content)"

Of course, to the ears of the new parents, it sounded like a heart-wrenching cry.

"How can you tease our son like that!" the woman chided. After resting for a while, she no longer seemed as weak as before.

"I'm just happy!" The man was still excited, but he handed the baby to his wife. As he did so, a corner of the small blanket revealed a black dragon-shaped tattoo.

"Oh? This is... the Black Dragon Tattoo? As expected of my son, he's amazing, hahaha."

"The Black Dragon Tattoo?" The woman was also very surprised. She had been very weak when the child was born, so she hadn't noticed the tattoo on her son's body.

"Hahaha, I've decided, my son will be called... Hanzo! Shimada Hanzo! My dear, what do you think?"

Protagonist's mom: "Whatever you say! (loving gaze)"

Protagonist: "??? (Black man's questioning face)"

Of course, after Hanzo's birth, the high-ranking members of the Shimada clan held a meeting to discuss whether to list Hanzo as a candidate for patriarch. Although Shimada Chōnen was the patriarch, the elders were not to be trifled with. They all spoke at once, saying that such an appointment was undemocratic. And so, the matter had to be put aside for now, which made Chōnen quite unhappy... "Clink, clink, clink."

The stone skipped three times on the stream before landing on the opposite bank.

Hanzo idly tossed the remaining stones in his hand.

"Young Master! The mistress has given birth to another young master, please go and see him!"

A young girl's voice came from afar.

Hanzo, hearing this, picked at his ear and said, "Got it, Sister A-Zhen, I'm going now."

With that, he sprang to his feet with a carp jump, and casually threw the five or six stones in his hand into the stream.

"Clink! Clink! Clink..."

For a moment, the sound of skipping stones filled the air.

This was Hanzo's third year in this world. Initially, when he heard his name was Shimada Hanzo, he once thought he had transmigrated to the world of Overwatch.

It wasn't until one day, while in his mother Shimada Hitomi's arms, he personally witnessed his cheap father Shimada Chōnen forming hand signs and spitting out several fireballs to light the firewood, that he realized he had been too naive... "Darn it! Forget about living the life of a yakuza boss..."

And it wasn't until he gradually learned Japanese, using his basic skills as a shut-in, that he realized his father had been shouting, "Fire Release: Phoenix Flower Jutsu."

As for why he could understand his own name... he had at least reached 3000 SR in Overwatch, how could he not recognize 'Casual Hanzo'?

Over the years, through immersion, he had finally figured out where he had transmigrated to — one of the famous 'working-class' anime series, Black Zetsu's Millennium Mother Rescue... ah, no, it was Naruto.

Of course, at this time, Konoha Village still existed in the distant future, because he had occasionally heard his father mention the contemporary patriarch of the Senju clan — Senju Butsuma.

"Isn't that Hashirama's old man...?"

In short, it was a Naruto world set in the Warring States Period as he remembered it. Of course, the difference was the existence of a Shimada clan.

As for why the Shimada clan didn't leave a mark in the future history of Naruto, Hanzo guessed they were probably annihilated... After all, he didn't believe the transmigration god would specifically add an indigenous Shimada family to the Naruto world just for him.

"If I had such influence, why wouldn't I even have a system...?" Hanzo thought tragically.

As a low-spec transmigrator without a system, he would just have to rely on 'gear all from drops'.

However, fortunately, Hanzo wasn't starting from scratch. According to his understanding, the Shimada clan was considered one of the stronger ninja clans in the Land of Fire, possessing a family bloodline limit, the "Dragon Tattoo," and was considered one of the strongest after the Senju and Uchiha. Alongside the Shimada clan were the Hagoromo clan and the Hyūga clan.

The Hyūga clan was also one of the high-level supporting characters in later plotlines. Of course, it was later revealed that this family was actually a lineage of alien descendants who inherited the aliens' original bloodline.

And the Hagoromo clan had made a cameo in Madara and Hashirama's flashbacks. Official hints suggested they were a major clan annihilated during the Warring States period, suspected to be one of the alien descendants.

This was also why Hanzo suspected the Shimada clan was likely annihilated.

Ever since he roughly understood the situation, Hanzo had been thinking about how to avoid the Shimada clan's fate of annihilation. After all, judging by the timeline, when Madara and Hashirama began to lead their respective ninja clans, the Shimada clan would probably be passed down to him.

From an idealistic perspective, Hanzo naturally hoped that he would one day be able to punch Madara and kick Hashirama. However, anyone who has watched Naruto knows... in an era where 'cheaters' hadn't awakened yet, those two were the biggest cheaters.

As a 'zero-yuan' player without a system, Hanzo felt his ideals were too distant, and it was better to accept reality... So what was the realistic choice? Of course, it was to cling tightly to the Senju clan's leg! In the future, he could even become a co-founder of Konoha, and with the Shimada clan's foundation, they might even thrive in Konoha.

Of course, defecting to the Senju also depended on the timing. It had to be the Senju clan under the leadership of Senju Hashirama that was the ideal big brother for the younger clans. Currently, the Senju clan under Senju Butsuma and the Uchiha clan were completely evenly matched, and defecting to either would only lead to becoming cannon fodder.

Moreover, in Hanzo's view, the current Warring States chaos had not yet reached its most intense point. As one of the secondary strong clans, the Shimada clan had the capital to maintain its current independent stance.

However... all the above analyses currently only existed in Hanzo's mind. At this moment, what Hanzo was most concerned about was... this wrinkled little infant who had just been named Shimada Genji by his cheap father... "Am I, Shimada Hanzo, destined to have a little brother who shouts 'I need healing!'?"
