Chapter 1 - Awake

**When you woke up, you were no longer yourself.

"I am 'Lewrod Ant'felda'."

For some reason, I woke up in an unfamiliar room.

I saw moving image fragments on every street pole.

"Hey, come on, hurry up and get ready!"

"Could you show me your ID card?"

"You mean this thing?" Lewrod asked, bewildered.

"It seems you're a good person."

"I guess you could fill the vacant spot in our team."

"You seem confused, your name is Lewrod, right? I'll just call you Lewis."

We walked through the corners of the city; it looked peaceful for my long sleep.

"Sooner or later, we'll encounter other groups, so we'd better hurry."

After some time, they stopped in a dusty room. The man explained to Lewrod that this was an old archive room, previously used as a gymnasium.

"It's not too bad, actually. Stopping by this place."

He saw a suspicious person standing there.

"Yo, sir, can I help you with something?"

"I don't think I've ever seen you before."

"You look suspicious."

"Yes, but I know who you are."

"You are Zappardi Lleones."

"Yeah, I also know that unlucky days aren't on the calendar."

Suddenly, the entire room shook violently, ruins almost falling on the suspicious person. Lewrod spontaneously jumped and pushed the suspicious man away.

"What are you doing, Lewis!"

"Sorry, my body moved on its own," Lewrod said.

"Hmph, what terrifying power. Perhaps we'll meet again sometime," the suspicious man said.

"Wait a minute!"

"Didn't you just ask what we could help you with?" Lewrod shouted.

"Lewis, just let him go, he's already far," Zappardi said.

The situation calmed down. They both rested for a moment. Lewrod was confused why he was in a place that was almost crumbling. Zappardi explained that this was one of the city's beacon towers.

They continued their journey.

They stopped at an old supermarket. This place was highly prone to disaster.

Through a floodgate, the two entered a secret base. This was Zappardi's group, which he called "Zapper." Zappardi added that there wasn't just one such group, but many similar ones. The people here still looked quite alive.

"You must be hungry, here, eat this."

"Wow, you're so kind, Merthyl."

"Of course, this is my special fried rice."

She was Merthyl, the group's cook.

In terms of combat power, she was also quite strong, a very reliable comrade.

"Hhuek."

"What's wrong, Lewis?"

"I'm fine," Lewrod said.

"Perhaps just motion sickness."

Lewis then vomited everything he had eaten.

"It's okay, I also have light snacks," Lewrod said casually.

The next day, Zappardi felt something was wrong; a group member still hadn't returned, considering the outside was a very dangerous area.

The two decided to go exploring again.

"Allow me to come," Lewrod said.

"No, it's very dangerous," Zappardi said.

Merthyl stared intently.

"Let him come," Merthyl said.

"But our base could be discovered."

"Don't worry," Merthyl said.

"FAMONCAULI, SENSE SEAL."

A dense purple light formed, letters floating in the air, forming a seal.

Like magic, the supermarket's existence vanished from sight.

"Let's go, we're going to save him."

As they walked, Lewrod saw the surroundings were scorched. The streets were full of eye-stinging fog.

"FAMONCAULI, OPENING OF UNDERSTANDING."

A purple ray radiated again, the thick fog began to disappear.

Suddenly, a hail of bullets struck.

All the street screens shook, "Notification!"

"Team Hardsaber vs. Zapper."

Team Zapper's position was as the defending team that would intercept the attacking team.

After that, four people appeared from the side of the road.

"Be careful, we are outnumbered," Zappardi said.

"We won't be able to fight them. I'll cancel this skill. Both of you protect me."

The hail of bullets now focused on assaulting Merthyl.

Someone carrying a chainsaw blocked Zappardi.

"I'll make you crash."

With incredible speed, the chainsaw struck, Zappardi managed to dodge it.

Then he rushed to protect Merthyl.

"Door."

A bullet pierced Lewrod's body as he stood guard, thanks to that, Zappardi was caught off guard and was sent flying.

The screen crackled.

"Zapper defeated."

Zappardi was still annoyed, but after being thrown far, he had an idea. He moved quickly and slipped away.

"They definitely won't kill Merthyl," he thought.

Zappardi's mind was in turmoil.

"There must be a way Merthyl can do it, I'm sure of it."

As he spied again,

"Bang!" "Bang!"

"Bang!" "Bang!"

"Huh, how troublesome."

"Huh? What happened?" Zappardi was shocked by what just occurred.

"You?"

That person had beautiful purple hair, their body standing upright over the corpses.

"Damn, out of bullets."

"Who are you?" Zappardi asked panicked.

"I... I am Trickster," the person said.

"Why are you helping us?" Zappardi said.

"What? I'm not helping you; I just felt like doing this."

"You're lying, you didn't kill Merthyl."

"Oh really?"

The person then threw something.

"Now do you believe he's dead?"

"Bye."

"What exactly do you want?"
