Synopsis
In a world where gods watch but never act, Lion D. Helios, a half-lion, half-human once bound in chains, rises from slavery and silence to become the very vengeance the heavens abandoned. Betrayed by faith and scarred by fire, Helios no longer prays to gods; he hunts them. As kingdoms fall into corruption and holy men barter souls for power, Helios forges himself into a living weapon, a beacon of wrath for the broken. This is not a tale of heroes, it’s the story of a beast who refused to die quietly and chose instead to burn the divine world that turned its back on him.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1- Where it all began

Warmth. A golden ocean of wheat stretched endlessly, each stalk swaying gently in the wind. The sky above was bathed in a perfect amber glow, and the sun, massive, eternal, hung above, radiating peace. As a young boy stood in the center of it all, his bare feet sinking into the soft earth. He inhaled deeply. The air was sweet. His mane, thick and wild like a lion's, flowed behind him as if caught in a gentle breeze. His hands, human in shape but rough like a warrior's, brushed against the wheat. This place felt real. It felt like home. Then, in the blink of an eye, the world collapsed into darkness, as the wheat darkened and rotted into the ground. The ground the boy was standing on turned into a squishy, dark red soil. When the boy looked closely at the ground, he saw the faces of people he recognized start moaning in agony. The boy runs looking for a way out of this hellish landscape, and he hears a scream. He turns around to see his own mother being crucified and burned alive by slavers. The boy yells. "MOM! MOM!" the boy's mother yells back, "HELIOS! RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK!" The boy starts to cry, and he drops to his knees, and the world becomes quiet and dark. The young boy wakes up from his cellmate shaking him… "Helios! Helios, wake up, they are coming." The boy's name was Helios, to be specific, Lion D. Helios is a half breed. Half Lion and half human. As Helios wakes up, he looks at himself in a puddle of water to see that he is as skinny and boney as ever. Helios asks his cellmate, "What do you think is gonna happen to us?" The cellmate replies, "Who knows, last time they stripped us naked and whipped us as if we were animals. Well, we are, but we are human too. I guess." Helios looks at his cellmate, "Don't worry, we will make it out alive. I know that all we have to do is pray. Pray to the almighty god. He loves us all, there must be a reason he is putting us through this. It must be a test, you know." The cell mate looks at Helios in disgust, "You idiot. If there was a god, we wouldn't be enslaved by SLAVERS! God doesn't love us, he left us." Helios was in awe of what he just heard, "Don't worry, I know that God is real! It may not look like it now, but he has to love us. For crying out loud, we are his creation. We aren't the spawn of the devil," the cellmate replies, "I wish I was as delusional as you. HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!" Helios glares at the cellmate intensely, as the cellmate laughs at him. The cellmate calms down and looks back at Helios, "Oh, you aren't kidding huh. Sorry." Helios says, "It's alright. Just you wait. A miracle will happen, I swear!" The slaver opens Helios and his roommates' cell, grabs both of them, and brings them into their own empty room that is dark, cold, and eerie. Helios looks around the room, scared, "The lord is on my side, the lord is on my side." The door to the room opens, and one of the slavers has a whip in one hand and a torch in the other. The slaver mutters under his breath, "You disgusting half-breeds don't deserve to live." Helios is stunned and can't move. The slaver walks closer and closer to Helios and tortures him alive, from burning him, to whipping him, to even brutally beating him. This happens for weeks, months, and years. Helios is dead inside, sadly so his cellmate is no longer with him due to him dying from not just blood loss and malnutrition, but also from being brutally beaten to death in front of Helios's eyes. Not only did he see his mother be crucified and burned, but he witnessed the one man who was basically his only friend pass away as well. Helios didn't scream. He didn't cry. He just stared. Something inside him had died too. As Helios crawls into the deepest parts of despair from the years of pain and suffering. Helios whispers to himself while slurring his words, "I no longer kneel. The god I once prayed to watched my people burn and did nothing. So I'll drag Him from His throne and show Him what silence creates. I will shatter this corrupt system built on blood and lies, and free every lion bound in chains. I am not their savior, but their hatred. I'm here to erase those who are gods and even kings… none will be spared. I WILL DESTROY THEM ALL!" Helios stands up from the corner of his cell, he looks at himself and then looks at the bars. Helios then realizes that he is skinny enough to slip in between the bars. Helios goes head first and slips his body in between with ease. He looks left to right, then again to look for the slavers. He only hears their voices coming from above. Helios picks up a rock he found on the floor and sneaks upstairs. He finds a room where a slaver was sleeping. Helios creeps in slowly then starts bashing the slavers head in with the rock while covering his mouth with a pillow to lower down the volume of the screams coming from the slaver. Helios whispers, "If I die, I die free. But if I live… God help anyone who stands in my way." Once he is dead Helios grabs the keys that were on the slavers nightstand then sneaks onto a carriage with hay on top. Helios covers himself by hiding underneath the hay. The cart starts moving, after a while Helios reveals himself and takes the rock he used to kill the slaver to hit the slaver driving the cart in the head. The slaver falls off and Helios takes control of the reins leading the horse down the rest of the path. Helios has no idea where he is going. All he wants is to escape from that hell and to never return. As Helios flees his eyes were golden and his spirit was lit by the flame within him. Helios states, "I SHALL NEVER BE WEAK AGAIN!" and the chains within him shattered. The chains of his beliefs were broken and Helios is now in control of his own fate, and his own future. All of his past faith, the fear he felt, and his past all burned away! This is the story of a boy who will flip the whole universe upside down
