Chapter 8 - Lingering....

Chapter 8

Catherine's POV

"Fuck…harder. Suck me harder, slut" I took deep breaths in as the kind coming from across the room magnified.

I slowly turned to see Stella on her knees and sucking off a man whose back was turned to me. Without another word, the man flips Stella and bends her on the table, and put his shimmering cock in her.

I stared, biting my lips as I closed my eyes, the voice in my head getting louder. You shouldn't be staring at this early in the morning, sweetie.

But I just couldn't look away.

I pressed my thighs together, as I continued watching them. Stella moans became loud and very lewd, as her breast and entire body shrieked forward with each thrust from the guy.

"Are you guys fucking serious? Early in the morning!" I groaned, but my voice was lost in their sex time and soon I was nothing more than background noise.

I rolled out of bed and took my shower caddy and headed to the shower room. All my time at Saint Monica and not once did I understand the need of putting only a toilet in each room, but making the showers on a whole different floor.

As I walked out of my sex filled room, I began wondering how that guy got into the girls housing. It was highly prohibited.

I bit my tongue, and shook my head trying to get that unnecessary event out of my mind. Getting to the shower room, it was only me in the four large bathroom stalls room.

I immediately took my shower and went over all skin exfoliation, and moisturizing. Soon I was out of the shower and it felt as though I had just been soaked in hot steam and been massaged with jojoba oils.

Very soothing.

"He'll be gone. He'll be gone" I whispered to myself as I slowly opened my room door and with my greatest relief, the room was empty.

I breathed out and sat on my reading table, while opening up some creams and bathing in them.

Soon after, I was ready for my first class of the semester–partially. I headed out of my dorm, and immediately the warm rays of the sun kissed my skin, and the cool morning air played with my wavy black hair, as I began walking towards my building.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Dalia, a very crazy friend of mine, asked me, as her eyes widened with anticipation.

"Uhm–"

"No, she doesn't. Catherine doesn't do boyfriend and I'm so confused. It's like you have your heart on lockdown" The high pitched feminine voice of Raymond came alive, causing me to glance to him and like usual, he was applying different nail polish.

I breathed in and forced a smile on my lips. "I'm just busy, okay? Relationship is not really on my list right now" I mumbled as my fingers darted over the keys on my laptop.

I could feel the eye roll from Raymond, even without looking at him.

"Girl, are you nuts? You see how you make every guy squirt just by your legs, right?" I bit my lips, trying to stifle my laughter and although I was successful, Dalia was not, as our once quiet circle was filled with her cackling of a laugh and eyes began darting to our table.

I breathed out, not having any other excuse. I took out my phone and scrolled through my contact, not knowing exactly what I was looking for, but soon I was faced with the words Hate.

Yes, the words I used to save Xandon's number when I needed every reminder not to fall for him, but it didn't work now, did it?

"Later in life, I guess. Bye" I mumbled the same words that I had glanced at even in the middle of lecturers for months, but somehow I couldn't stop staring and coming back at it.

"Earth to Catherine. Rock to weather" I blinked and slowly rolled my eyes, trying to send my brain the cut it out signal.

"Girl, I know you didn't just roll those beauties at me" Raymond gasped, causing me to chuckle.

If you needed a hype man, get Dalia. But you need a drama queen? Call Raymond. Anytime.. it's like he lives for it.

"Cath?" I turned slowly at the deep, but frail voice from behind me, and I was met with the most definite ocean eyes ever.

"Micheal" I gleamed, standing up and engulfing him in a hug.

His lean structure provided me with a warmth that just basically tempts you to go back home to your momma and hug her so tight.

"How.. how've you been?" The almost petite boy in front of me, stuttered, adjust the strands of golden hair covering his face.

"I've been fine. You?" Michael's eyes glanced behind me, and I glanced to see who he was looking at–Dalia.

His eyes slowly returned to me and when he knew I caught him, his pale skin got the trophy for how crimson you can be compared to blood.

"Uhm.." Shaky breath, and a trembling figure was what now stood before me. "I–do you want to go to the dance with me?"

I blinked, quirking my eyebrows. I couldn't believe that I was just used to make my friend jealous.

His eyes immediately shot back to me, wide and almost pleading.

"Sure, Michael. I'll go to the dance with you" I smiled as I walked closer to him, and leaned into his ear. "I see you looking at Dalia some type of way" I whispered, making sure my voice was only audible to us.

I smirked once I saw the blank expression on Michael's face, but I didn't say anything as I took my seat, and soon, retreating footsteps were heard.

"Do you like Michael?" Dalia's features held amusement and almost intrigue, as she stared at me with wide eyes and shaking head.

I smiled looking at the brown haired girl in front of me, completely oblivious to how bad my date has it for her.

I felt my smile drop once a certain familiar feeling of ache began crawling into my heart.

Did he ever like me, did we ever matter? Or was I just someone that kept him company in the school environment?

I felt my vision getting blurry as my eyes began to sting but I tugged the corners of my lips up and gave out a rehearsed smile.

Dalia's eyes remained hooked at the back of me, and I snapped my fingers in her face, but she only glanced at me and gave my back a pointed and questioning look.

I tilted my head a little to check if this is just a handsome guy freeze, but the smell of sander wood and citrus filled my nose and it played a familiar string in my heart but not without making it ache.

And I felt my blood boil at how much effect, someone of his caliber can have on me–even without being here.

I took in shaky breaths, and turned slowly but before I could come turn my face to check if my suspicion was true, I heard him–clear as the sun that hit my skin this morning.

"Petals"
