Chapter 7 - Intoxicated By Memories

Chapter 7

Xandon's POV

I don't like this one bit.

I slammed my phone on the table after receiving a text from almost eighty percent of the people that Catherine talks to, that she doesn't talk to them like that anymore.

I scrolled to her contact and opened our messages thread. My eyes glanced over the only conversation that we had since one year of us not talking and prior to that, months of me going ghost mode on her.

I furrowed my eyebrows as the thought of how she can be more complex than a chemistry sophomore college question baffled me.

I missed us in high school–our bickering, her very intuitive spirit that somehow knew when I was having a shitty day, but I couldn't handle it.

She saw me in ways that I couldn't even understand myself. Although she had problems letting me in, and telling me stuffs, but she was ready to make a sculpture out of the hidden parts of me, and that scared me.

The last time someone put me up that high, they let me go and I suffered a broken heart and soul from how hard the fall was.

Even now I still bleed on people, but mostly and unjustly her.

"Xan?" I rolled my eyes as I heard my twin brother's annoying voice at the entrance of my room.

"What?!" I spat out, throwing my phone on my bed and going to open the door.

Landon shot me a questioning glance as his eyes moved behind me, and he studied it. Hard.

"What do you want? And stop snooping" I felt my features hardened as I shot him an annoying stare. His eyes came back and rested on my face, and now he had the questioning look I had earlier.

"Are you still talking to Catherine? I've not talked to her in a while" Calm, cold.

I straightened my posture as his voice left my hairs alert in its wake.

"Why? You aren't that close to her to care. Had yourself hooked on Inula" I taunted, and walked out of my room, making him step back as I closed the door behind me.

"Inula was just–" I watched him struggle to be courteous with his word. Thanks to my mother, we hardly through condescending insults at a girl unless she deserved it.

"Temporary. As is Elisa to you. But then, Catherine–you both seemed close, really close" His sharp brown eyes darting over my face, with intense gaze and precision.

I stood there, raising my eyebrow as if to tell him his attempt at making me mad wasn't working.

"But now, you're not talking about her anymore" I felt my pulse quicken as I saw the glint of amusement in his eyes.

"Meaning? So what if I don't talk about her, that doesn't mean what we had died"

I felt my insides heat up as if put under fire, as I saw a smug, devilish grin play on his lips.

"Really? Are you sure about that?" His voice held amusement, as he took a step closer to me. "You know, her lips look soft, but trust when I say they taste better than it looks"

I felt my hands tremble and vibrate, as Landon just walked off. I licked my lips, remembering how soft her plump lips felt, and I felt something in me snap, as I charged towards Landon, holding the collar of his big shirt and pulling him close, my fisted hand in the air.

"Thought you didn't care. I mean, I saw you kiss Elisa at the reunion, without a care in the world. So what is this reaction about the idea of my lips with hers?"

I took in shaky breaths as our eyes burned against each other's. I slowly freed his collar and shoved him off, and without another word I walked away, but not without seeing the smug smirk on the corner of his lips.

"Fuck, Catherine" I breathed out, as I rubbed my palm over my hard and aching member.

The images of her legs while we were in school, the way her skirt went up anytime she bent to pick up something and how soft her ass was when I slapped it all came crashing in and it was pure torture as it only made me buck into my hand.

I threw my back, as I brought my thumb over my pulsing head, and rubbed it. I felt my body lock and go still, as a wave of pleasure rushed through me.

"Fuck. Ahh–Catherine, suck faster, please. Suck-" I jerked up, the wetness of the lube sending me into oblivion as I closed my eyes, her plump lips on the candy I once bought for her played in my head.

I felt my tummy twist, and my cock bulbed and jumped. Taking my lips in-between my teeth and biting hard, I felt streams of hot juices stain my stomach and my waist.

"Catherine, fuck. Look what you make me do" I groaned as I stood up from my bed, and without bothering to clean my excesses off, I walked into the bathroom for a shower.

After spending some time in the shower and feeling all calmed down, I stared at myself in the mirror.

I breathed out, as that day flashed in my mind. I still remember how her eyes always went to my lips back in high school, but when I kissed her, it felt like she didn't want anything to do with me, although I felt my entire being begging to be merged with hers on the spot.

Get it together, Xandon. You were just best friends, nothing more. Everything you're feeling is in your head.

"Xandon, Elisa's here" I closed my eyes at the sound of that name. I genuinely didn't feel like seeing anyone right now, but despite my innate desire to stay up here, I combed my hand through my almost locked hair, and putting on an oversized sweatshirt and joggers, I headed downstairs.

"Hey, babe" She shrieked, coming to hug me, and I placed her peck on her lips, as we sat at the dining, the smell of tomatoes and spices filled the air.

Everyone soon gathered around apart from my father that we away on a business trip. And soon, the tray of food was being passed around and everyone served themselves.

"So, guys. How's uni? Anything fun happening?" My mom said, looking around the table as she tried to make small talk with Elisa and Inula.

"Yes. Oh My gosh, the parties are good too" I snorted, which earned me a pen drop silence and judgemental stares.

"Oh sorry. I just–" I looked around the table, but my brother's warning gaze, had me swallow my words. "Continue, please"

I smiled, and with Elisa sending me one last glare, she finally turned to my mother and they both got lost in their world, carrying Inula along, at intervals.

I breathed out as I stared at Elisa, but my heart ached like something precious was taken away and ripped into pieces.

I stared at the fair, nearly pale skin of Elisa but it wasn't the same as the sun tan skin of Catherine. Her eyes wasn't the same, nothing was the same, and the more I looked at the girl sitting beside me, the more I felt my blood boil.

But this feeling I felt wasn't something that I was supposed to feel, because I'm the one who ruined us.

I need her back, I want her back. But I don't know if I'm bandaged enough to not bleed all over her again.
