Chapter 21- light 

The moment the voice fell silent, the little mouth in Albert's palm twitched excitedly, as if echoing its words.

"Absolutely not." Albert refused without hesitation, his tone firm as steel.

Never mind that there were people all around—he couldn't do it even if no one were watching.

Just the thought of it made him sick. The idea that another creature's consciousness was attached to his body, constantly craving food… a chill crawled down Albert's spine.

He hated this feeling—his body acting outside his complete control.

And yet, even now, under the influence of the multi-headed parasitic eel, he found the dead bat disturbingly… appetizing.

But he was not some animal driven solely by the instinct to kill and devour.

For some reason, Albert suddenly felt like a strict parent dealing with a naughty child—while that so-called "god" was the meddling relative hovering nearby, whispering temptations and trying to lead the kid astray.
