Chapter 34 - The warrior Elf.

Don saw a glimpse of the comet as it landed next to him.

The impact strong enough to make the earth tremble and send chunks of rock flying.

The heat of the comet liquefying the ground as it sank in.

But the shards of debri, nor the heat of the comet neither the tremor of its impact failed to affect him.

A protective bubble of green energy circled around him, obstructing the debri and heat to reach Don.

As the comet sank in, a thick gas leaked through its cracks and formed a cloud of smoke blinding the demoness.

Leaping out of the smoke the demoness looked around and saw a hooded figure standing across her.

Her bow arching as she primed it with an arrow.

A dark green cloak covering her body.

Unlike the demoness she had far more fabric on her.

Wrapping around her entire body a light green cloth, covering every inch of her.

It accentuated her every curve and sticked close to her skin, molding her frame.

Like a second skin, a combat suit.

Her hold stern on the bow and the arrow she primed, aiming for the demoness's belly.

The next moment she released her grip on the arrow.

The bow string loosened sending the arrow cruising at blinding speed as it cut its way through the smoke.

The sharp tip of the arrow soared to its target as the length of it bended adjusting to the flow.

It curved through the trajectory and reached the demoness.

Noticing the arrow the demoness side stepped just in time.

But she was late, caught of guard the arrow grazed over the belly.

The sharp metal tip, cutting her skin and carving through her obliques.

A shallow cut which spilled black blood and made the demoness wince in pain.

She covered the cut with her hand, as blood started spilling. Her face contorted into a wicked smile as she felt the pain.

Her smile parting her lips and revealing her jagged theath.

Her eyes wide as she sneared. She stepped back further.

Raising her arms and crossing her kopesh in an X facing the uninvited guest.

She glanced at the arrow and saw it's metal tip corrode away as the black blood bubbled.

A grinn forming in her face as she heard a footstep.

Out of the smoke a slender leg stepped out.

The dark green heel's clicking against the paved floor.

Glancing down she swinged her arm to the side as she parted the smoke.

Her eyes searching for the man at her feet.

As her eyes found him she took out a vial of blue liquid.

Opening the cork with a sharp pop she crouched to Don.

The protective bubble, disappeared as she extended her arms making way for the vial she held.

Tilting it she emptied the liquid on to his lips.

The liquid trickled down and seeped into his mouth.

Then tossing the vial away, she stood up.

Her bow and arrow magically reappeared in her arm's.

Her blue eyes narrowed down on the demoness and her arms raising the bow and pulling the string of the bow back.

Priming another arrow, she spoke,

"Leave him alone or you will suffer grave consequences".

The demoness grinned as she showed more teeth. Bending low and planting her back foot firmly against the floor.

The figure leaped up, Her cloak fluttering in the air. She

pulled the string back and send multiple arrows at the demoness's standing below.

The demoness quickly brought her blades up deflected the arrows.

The arrows thrown of its trajectory cut into the floor, sticking up.

Then she brought her kopesh back to the same defensive stance she took earlier but facing up.

She got it together just in time as the lady kicked hard onto her block.

The ground beneath them shuddered as the sheer force of her kick, made the demoness's bare feet dig in to the floor and break the tiles.

The lady followed through with another kick, lodging the demoness's feet into the floor deeper.

The demoness's block trembled as it failed to properly hold up against the second kick.

As the lady lifted her legs up one more time priming for another kick, the demoness swung her blade.

The khopesh's curved blade aimed at her ankles.

But the lady noticed it, reacting at the nick of time, delaying her kick.

Her feet landed on the khopeshs spine, using the blade as a surface she jumped off.

Her body gracefully arching as she flipped back.

Her cloak fluttered in the air as it came undone.

Landing on her arms as her body back-flipped, and follwed through by sticking her landing on a low position.

But the demoness enraged, lunged at the lady as she got to her stance.

The green cloak obstructing her view as it still floated in the air.

Giving enough time for the lady to leap to the side and take a defencive stance.

Her cape now gone, revealed her slim elegant face.

The combat skin she wore reached up to her face covering her mouth and her nose half way through.

Her eyes ocean blue in color, shimmered in the faint light of the moon.

Her ears long and pointy as it drooped to the side.

She was an elf.

Her face relaxed in a cold expressionless manner, unbothered by the demoness or the threat she posed.

Compared to the sccared face of the demoness and her body barely concealed by the excuse of a dress she wore.

The elf had a clear skin, it shined like bright silk under the moon and she had her entire body covered in a combat skin.

A stark contrast to each other.

The red eyes of the demoness and her bare foot along with her jagged teeth showed a more primal profile.

While the clean, lustrous and calm elf who apprared was more civil and disciplined.

And lastly the sharpest of all their differences.

Not skin.

Not body.

Not face.

But the fact that the demoness had 2 frightening red horns while the elf had 2 cute pointy ears.

--------

The demoness caught the scent of the lady and turned her head in misbelief.

Seeing the elf standing on guard she snickered in irritation.

She took a step forward, stepping on the elf's cloak.

Feeling the soft fabric against the her bare feet she looked down.

The cloak had a crest of the Tempest order, etched in blue ink.

Her face went down as her grinn vanished. Her eyes wide open in shock.

Glancing back at the prey she was busy hunting, she saw his fingers twitch.

Bewildered at the sight, suddenly she pulled back.

A rupture formed behind her, stepping into it she vanished.
