~ ROBERT'S POV~
My wolf's roar kept echoing in my head. My mate was definitely in this dungeon. The impact of force, caused me to freeze mid-step.
My entire body locked as if someone had slammed a wall in front of me. The word vibrated through my spine, wild and absolute.
Mate? But that was impossible. However my wolf repeated it louder, almost desperate.
MATE!
I took a shaky breath, and that was when footsteps echoed from the shadows.
A figure emerged from the dim hallway.
Melissa.
And before I could think, before I could even breathe, I grabbed her by the arm, pulling her toward me.
Her eyes widened. "Robert?! What are you…"
The scent hit me. It was the same scent, pretty, sweet and familiar. Could she really be my mate? But she was Thomas' Luna. What the hell was happening?
Whatever it was, this wasn't right.
My wolf reacted, but not the way I expected. Melissa was my mate, I should pounce on her to claim her.
I snarled internally, restless and confused.
