"What are you standing there for? Tell me!"
The girl waved her small, white hand in front of Finney's eyes, urging him with an impatient expression, "My time is very precious! Tell me quickly, what was that guy all about?"
"What are you busy with?"
Interrupted from his reverie, Finney snapped back to reality, then frowned at the girl and said, "You're still investigating that matter!? Skye, I've told you many times, that matter is dangerous, now is not the time to investigate."
Skye Helscythe was the girl's name, and also Finney's older sister, but not a biological sister, nor a half-sister or illegitimate child. She was someone he accidentally summoned using the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique'.
It was because of her that Finney successfully used this ability for the first time.
After drawing the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique,' the still-infant Finney spent his days, besides eating, drinking, and relieving himself, researching the system. Although the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique' was powerful, there were plenty of other skills in the anime, and he wouldn't complain about having too many.
How to draw it again became his daily focus.
Finney observed its changes in his mind every day for a whole month, only noticing a slight movement each day. This worried him; at this rate, he didn't know when he would be able to start the second extraction.
However, being a toddler who couldn't even crawl properly, he couldn't solve this problem in the near future.
Moreover, as the saying goes, misfortunes never come singly. When he was about a year old, he discovered the difference in this world.
At the beginning of his transmigration, Finney had already noticed that he seemed to have traveled to an earlier era. Although his home had many appliances, they all looked somewhat 'old'.
It wasn't until one day, after he had learned to speak, that he heard on television that it was the 5th anniversary of the death of the billionaire Howard Stark and his wife, and what achievements his son Tony Stark had made, that Finney realized what kind of world he had entered.
At this moment, his heart began to tense up, and all his previous plans for making money and a good life were completely forgotten.
Marvel—Finney wasn't unfamiliar with the word; he had enjoyed watching movies in his previous life, but he never expected to come to such a world.
This is a world teeming with aliens and overflowing with superpowers, a world where even the universe is divided into many different kinds.
After the death of his father, who is now Iron Man, Finney began to explore the outside world. Fortunately, at just over a year old, his curiosity wasn't so out of place anymore.
Through his research, he learned that there were no mutants in this world, which meant that the daily danger level had decreased significantly, giving Finney a slight sigh of relief. However, he was also certain that he had indeed entered the Marvel universe, after all, there was a place like the Captain America Museum.
Just thinking about the possibility of being turned to ashes by some purple potato monster's snap of the fingers filled Finney with a sense of urgency.
He didn't want to gamble with that one-in-five chance, and besides, given New York's history of disasters, without a bit of luck, it was uncertain whether he would even survive to the point of snapping his fingers.
Thus, while Finney was worrying about how to use the 'Golden Great Evolution Technique,' he unknowingly turned seven years old. In these seven years, he had tried gentler methods to stimulate the growth of his experience bar, such as safe voltage contact and increasing food intake, but unfortunately, none of them worked.
But perhaps it was fate, for in that very year, he unleashed the 'Golden Great Evolution Technique' for the first time, and under circumstances he never expected.
Having been reborn, Finney possessed memories of his previous life, making him exceptionally intelligent, clever, and adorable from a young age. However, he never revealed anything unusual, as S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra were still quite formidable; being discovered would be disastrous.
Even so, his parents, who had him late in life, doted on him excessively.
Having lived a second life, Finney was very uncomfortable with this pampering. He tried to resist, change, or explain, essentially just acting like a spoiled brat, causing trouble and troubling his parents.
So, on his seventh birthday, after being dragged around the mall all day by his parents and forced to accept a mountain of childish gifts, Finney finally couldn't take it anymore.
That night, in his room, sitting atop a pile of ridiculously cute dolls, he felt an unprecedented calm, gazing at the chandelier on the ceiling, pondering how to become an annoying 'brat'.
But just then, a sudden, inexplicable thought popped into his head: "If only I could have a sister!"
Finney's real thought was that having someone to share his parents' love might make things a little better. As for why not a brother or sister, he'd always imagined that most troublesome kids were boys, and he didn't want that kind of trouble.
As for a sister, he was only seven years old. If a baby came along, it might be easier temporarily, but it could cause even more problems in the future. So, after ruling that out, he could only choose a sister.
This was originally just a sudden thought for Finney. He was an only child; no matter how powerful his father was, it was impossible for him to have a sister before he transmigrated.
Looking for someone in Karachi today
But the very next time that thought crossed his mind, Finney suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head, his vision blurred, and he almost fainted. Even if he hadn't fainted, he felt as groggy as if he'd been drinking for three days and three nights straight.
At the same time, in front of Finney's house, a cute little girl suddenly ran headfirst into their door in a panic, also clutching her head and sitting on the ground.
The headache left Finney completely dazed, but the feeling of accomplishment from his words coming true filled him with ecstatic excitement.
Seven years! A full seven years! Did this damn skill even know how he'd spent those seven years?!
After a short while, he immediately checked the system in his mind and was surprised to find that the energy bar, which had naturally increased to more than half like an experience bar, was now full.
He could draw again!
However, just as Finney was excitedly preparing to draw the skill, he suddenly heard his parents calling from downstairs, which reminded him of what had just happened.
"It took effect so quickly?"
Finney muttered to himself, temporarily abandoning his thought of drawing the skill, and struggling downstairs.
In the living room, a girl sat awkwardly on the sofa, her clear, bright amber eyes, arched eyebrows, and long, trembling eyelashes slightly. Only a large bump on her flawless forehead slightly detracted from her appearance.
Her parents sat beside her, while opposite them sat a man and a woman, their faces showing a hint of helplessness.
"Finnie, this is Ma..."
"Skye!" The girl interrupted Finnie's father, saying in a clear, firm voice, "My name is Skye!"
"I'm very sorry, Mr. Helsez, for disturbing you tonight, but we really have to go back to St. Agnes." The man opposite the girl stood up and said apologetically.
"St. Agnes!?"
Although Finnie was currently in a very bad mood and didn't understand why the skill had worked in this way, he didn't want this person who might have helped him get rid of trouble to leave just like that.
"That's an orphanage."
Finney's mother approached with a pained expression, took his hand, and explained, "Finney, your father and I would like to adopt her, is that alright?"
"Of course!"
Finney nodded quickly. This was exactly what he wanted—a sister to share the burden of his parents' overindulgence.
It was clear his parents adored this girl.
Hearing Finney's parents' words, a flicker of surprise crossed the girl's eyes, but not much joy, only a sense of loneliness and sadness. Having already been to three foster homes, she didn't want to endure the pain of being kicked out again.
However, her emotions couldn't change the effect of the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique,' or rather, her parents' love.
The next day, Finney's parents, both lawyers, completed all the formalities in just two hours, and he gained a sister.
After summoning Skye with the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique,' Finney had a rough idea of what this skill lottery system was like. He felt that the increase in the experience bar, besides natural growth, might also be related to skill usage.
However, what truly confirmed Finney's guess was the second skill he drew.
Well, to be honest, I don't know much about Marvel, and I only watched two seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., so I didn't really want to write about Skye at first. But then I felt that whether I wrote about her or not wouldn't make much of a difference, so I did. The plot of this book should mainly be about the movies.
