Kuma was, as always, playing on his Nintendo Switch as he also watched the anime F-Zero Falcon Densetsu with his girlfriend Kamui. They were both happy and liked the show very much, like all the other anime that existed. As they both proceeded with the anime and finished it after the last episode, the TV was glowing absurdly white and Kuma and Kamui were shocked.
Kuma: "WTF?!"
Kamui: "Too bright..."
As they both closed their eyes, they were teleported. They stood in a very futuristic apartment; nothing seemed to be theirs anymore. Holograms were in the rooms, no TV, only holographic television—everything like they were in a future film.
Kuma: "Where are we? This looks way too futuristic."
Kamui: "Don't know, even the lights didn't go on normally. They are movement-sensored."
Kamui steps into the hallway and jumps back to show how the light goes on and off.
Kuma opened the window and saw the huge advertising posters of F-Zero. He knew it—they were in the anime F-Zero.
Kuma: "Kamui, we are in F-Zero."
Kamui stepped lightly towards Kuma and picked his cheek.
Kamui: "How did you... Oh, that makes sense."
She as well saw the huge advertising posters. Her eyes lit up with sparkle.
They jumped and hugged each other. They were both happy to be there.
Kamui: "We are really here... I can finally meet Jody Summers, Lucy Liberty and Misaki Haruka."
Kuma lifts one eyebrow at her comment.
Kuma: "Really, only them...? Naaww, I want to meet them all."
Kamui drags Kuma to the door and led him outside. To their surprise, aliens walked the road—beast people and normal humans.
They both smiled and started laughing.
Kuma: "Hahahaha, aliens and beast people mixed with humans on the same planet."
Kamui: "Wow, even some wood is walking here. Amazing!"
Some people became awkward and took some space from them; some even switched street sides.
Kuma made some poses, yet ignoring the people around him who were already confused and shocked. Kamui looked at him and then decided to join him. They looked like maniacs.
Kuma: "We should use codenames or hero names. Mine will be 'Moista Fista'!"
Kamui: "Ok, mine will be 'Miss Killa'!"
Kuma looked at her with a face that meant 'You serious?'.
Kuma: "I got a déjà-vu all over again. You should take another one."
Kamui wasn't pleased with his decision, but they were interrupted by some police officer that the people called.
Police officer: "Excuse me, I have to take you both to the police station."
Kuma and Kamui were shocked; they had never been arrested before. They bowed to apologize, but they were brought away in the police car.
Kuma: "So this is what a police car looks like—too futuristic for me. Where is the cliché?"
Kamui and the police officer both laughed.
Kamui: "Maybe we could get arrested by Jody. I would like that."
The police officer looked in his middle mirror and his eyes widened.
Police officer: "You know Jody Summers? The Mobile Task Force?"
Kamui huffs and makes a heroic face.
Kamui: "Of course we do and also..."
She was interrupted by Kuma, who made a loud cough sound. Kamui realized she almost said too much.
Kuma looked to the police officer and only nodded. He added calm but firm:
Kuma: "Could you bring us to the Mobile Task Force by any chance?"
The police officer nods but made it clear to them both that he will call them first just to make sure Kuma and Kamui didn't lie.
The police officer called with a device that looked like a wrist ring. After 15 seconds of ringing, John Tanaka appears as a hologram. Kuma's eyes lit up as he spotted Tanaka's hologram.
Kuma: "No way... The John Tanaka! Leader of the Mobile Task Force—this is the best day of my life. Heeellloo Jooohhn!"
Kuma drags himself into the front with his face before the police officer, who tried to push Kuma back but didn't have a chance. Tanaka dabbed his forehead with a pad as always.
Tanaka: "Oh my... Oh my... Who are you, if I can ask? You seem to know me, but I don't know you?"
Kuma shakes his head and smiled; his happiness was written all over his face.
Kuma: "You don't know me yet, but I will have a talk with you. I'm a huge fan of you. Oh, almost forgot—I'm the 'legendary Moista Fista'!"
Kamui drags herself also into the front seat but more sweetly than Kuma did.
Kamui: "Yes, and I am 'Shogun Frogun'!"
Tanaka had to suppress a laugh as he heard those names, then said them slowly in his mind; his face became awkward after realizing how dumb these names were.
Tanaka: "You should change your names... Take better ones next time. Oh my... Oh my..."
Kuma holds his hand at his chin in his thinker pose and then he had another name.
Kuma: "How about 'Objection'!"
Tanaka, the police officer and Kamui started laughing.
Kamui: "Objection, really? Hahahaha, that's even more dumb than mine. I have one for myself: 'Untouchable Kinetic Power Stroke'."
Kuma started now laughing. Tanaka showed a disbelieving and confused face as they both tried to find dumb code names for themselves instead of giving their real ones.
Tanaka stopped them both before they made it even dumber for themselves, but he wasn't too angered—more amused by their boldness because of their situation.
Tanaka: "I will meet you here in my office. Mr. Officer, bring them to the Mobile Task Force."
Kamui started to wiggle.
Kamui: "Jody I'm coming..... hehehehe."
Tanaka, Kuma and the police officer turned their head to Kamui.
Kuma: "Get your horny level under control."
Tanaka: "Is she always like that? Then I should warn Jody..."
Police officer: "WTF..."
Tanaka said his 'I will see you later' and the police officer started to drive again. Kuma and Kamui sat in the back and waited until they arrived. The silence was only broken by the police officer who spoke calm and with no authority.
Police officer: "You didn't know them, did you... You made me call them for your autograph, didn't you?"
Kuma smiled—this was a victory smile.
Kuma: "You got me. When did you find out?"
The police officer smirked and then laughed slightly.
Police officer: "The moment you said 'The John Tanaka? No way!'... That's when I knew you only saw him through the screen and never met him in person."
Kamui whistled; she never saw such a precise detective combination before.
Kamui: "He really got you, Mr., but don't be sad or mad. He gets me every time with his play. GG."
The police officer giggles and relaxes.
Police officer: "If all the people would be like you, my job would be a whole lot easier."
Kuma and Kamui nod in understanding. The rest of the drive was filled with quiet observation of the new futuristic city they were in. Kuma and Kamui held hands.
After 20 minutes they arrived before the Mobile Task Force building—it was huge.
Kuma jumped from left to right, inspecting the whole building. Kamui did the same. Task Force employees awkwardly looked away as they both stood in front of the entrance making hero poses again, to seem more mysterious.
Kuma: "We should use slang like 'Now there's trouble, make it double'."
Kamui: "To protect the world from devastation. Yes, let's do that."
They both then entered the Mobile Task Force building and said John Tanaka wants to meet them. The receptionist calls Tanaka and he agreed to meet them. Both were led to the elevator and told to press the 70th-floor button. As they both entered the elevator they saw the huge screen in it.
Kuma: "Even in an elevator is a TV."
Kamui: "Future is good to all of us."
They were lifted up and arrived at the 70th floor in seconds; they were surprised how fast that went. Kuma pressed the first-floor button again and the door closed. They both were lifted down in seconds again. They did that a couple of times. If someone could see them now, they would look like lost kids playing with a toy. As they stepped out on the 70th floor, Tanaka already stood before the elevator, hand at his nose and seemed to be a little angry.
Next to him stood Jody Summers, a middle-aged woman with brown eyes, brown-blond hair and pink shoulder armor. Next to her stood Lucy Liberty, a pink-haired girl, young and completely dressed in yellow with silver plates.
Tanaka: "Do I want to know what took you so long?"
Kamui makes a giga-Chad face as she saw Jody Summers. Kuma pinches her side and they started with their act.
Kuma: "Prepare for trouble..."
Kamui: "Make it double."
Kuma: "To protect the world from devastation."
Kamui: "To unite all people in this nation."
Kuma: "To denounce the evil of truth and love."
Kamui: "To extend our reach to the stars above..."
Kuma: "Sherlock!"
Kamui: "Holmes!"
Tanaka with his tissue at his face and Jody with an awkward smile. For them it was embarrassing, but for Lucy it was good and she clapped and smiled.
Lucy: "Could you two be actors or comedians?"
Kuma holds his waist, his face filled with pride.
Kuma: "Yes we are! We are the Galaxy Comedians Show-Offs!"
Kamui: "We are the best dramatic entrance makers there is!"
Lucy was amused by them and their entrance while Tanaka and Jody were not so enthusiastic.
Jody walks up and asks them:
Jody: "What are your names?"
Kuma turned towards her and smirked.
Kuma: "My name is Great..."
He was interrupted by Jody again.
Jody: "Your real name, no synonyms."
They both pout and sighed, then said their real names. Tanaka, Jody and Lucy introduced themselves properly as well.
Even though Kuma and Kamui already knew everything about them.
As they walked through the Mobile Task Force building, they spotted Dr. Clash and Kuma directly confronted him.
Kuma: "Hhhhhhhhhhhaaaaa Dr. Clash! I'm a huge fan of your F-Zero Glider!"
Dr. Clash turned around looking like an evil doc, but Kuma's eyes filled with stars, he couldn't believe he saw another one of his childhood game characters standing before him in person.
Dr. Clash: "You are not afraid of me. Interesting!"
Kuma: "Of course not. Say, is EAD also here?"
Dr. Clash: "Yes, but he is out of the house at the moment."
Kuma sighed and then bows as a thank you.
He then returned to Jody; to his surprise it was Kamui who was all over Jody.
Kamui: "Please let me touch you, your hand, face or even boobs."
Kuma sighed and facepalmed. Jody blinked and her face was unreadable.
Jody: "What... did you just say?!"
Kamui: "Come on, Jody, just a little."
Jody's face darkens and she steps back as Kamui tried to corner her. Then a book on her head stopped her.
Kamui: "Nnghhaaaa... Ouch..."
She holds her head as Kuma stepped forward.
Kuma: "Sorry... Miss Summers, she is somewhat special when she wants something."
Tanaka silently observed the situation but was also not amused by Kamui's intrusiveness.
Kuma suddenly turned around in the direction of Lucy.
Kuma: "I forgot that you can build F-Zero gliders, right?"
Lucy: "Yes I can, do you want one?"
Kuma couldn't believe what he just heard. he was one way closer to riding with them, or more, against them.
Kuma: "Yes please!"
Kamui jumped up and stood next to him.
Kamui: "Please, mine as well."
Lucy smiled and gently pressed her hands together.
Lucy: "Of course, but you get me the parts."
Kuma and Kamui rub their heads; they have no idea where to get them.
Kamui: "Oh... wise Lucy Liberty, please spare your wisdom, where to find the parts."
Kuma: "Enlighten your colleagues in need, oh holy maid."
They both kneeled before her and made some holy bow.
