Chapter 32 - A little expert in committing suicide

Hogwarts has won quite a few trophies. In the trophy room, Albert also found the Triwizard Tournament trophy, the International Wizarding Chess Tournament trophy, the Golden Cauldron of the Magical School Potions Tournament, the Creative Medal of the Cairo International Alchemy Competition... and of course, Voldemort's... also known as Tom Riddle's Special Contribution Award can also be found here.

"I wish I could have a trophy like this one," Lee Jordan said, gazing at the trophies in the display case with envy and admiration.

"I think Albert might have a chance, but as for you… forget it!" The twins appeared behind Lee, one on each shoulder, and comforted him with smiles.

"Nobody knows what the future holds," Albert casually comforted him. "Maybe you'll get a trophy or something to put here. That special contribution award is easy to get; just talk to Dumbledore and donate five or ten thousand Galleons to the school, and he'll definitely get you one."

Upon hearing this, the three men's faces twitched involuntarily. What did they mean by donating five thousand or ten thousand Galleons? How could you say such a thing so easily?

That's a Galon!

Neither of the twins had a single Galleon in their pockets, and they even doubted whether their combined wealth was worth that much.

Lee Jordan pulled his hands away from the twins and retorted, "Don't you want to...?"

"Actually, I'm more curious about how much prize money I can get. As for everything else, it's all meaningless to me." Albert shook his head, interrupting the other person.

He valued gold coins more than glory; money was the most real thing.

Especially in his previous life, there was a saying that money makes things easier, and another saying that money brings confidence...

"Don't look at me like that, I'm just being realistic." Albert coughed lightly and quickly changed the subject. "Let's go to the fifth floor. I have a feeling the library is probably on the fifth floor."

"You're right, money is a good thing, and I hate poverty." The twins looked at each other, not denying Albert's words.

It should be said that no one likes poverty.

The Weasley brothers, in particular, who came from less fortunate backgrounds, understood this even better.

The four of them pushed and shoved their way to the fifth floor, and they actually found the library, but it wasn't open yet at this time.

"Let's check other places first," Albert suggested. This was a wise choice, because the four of them actually found another entrance to what appeared to be a secret passage, right behind a suspicious mirror that was about the height of a person.

What are you doing here?

As they were inspecting the entrance, Snape appeared silently behind the four of them.

"We're looking for a shortcut, Professor." Albert didn't seem to care much about the other man's gloomy face; he could easily guess who this guy was.

"A shortcut." Snape stared into Albert's eyes, but Albert turned away to avoid eye contact. "We believe there is a shortcut to the other floors."

As we all know, the simplest way to avoid being ensnared by another person is to avoid making direct eye contact with them.

"Oh, it's open!" The mirror suddenly slid down to one side, revealing a gap.

Snape frowned at the sight, seemingly about to say something, but was interrupted by Albert.

"By the way, Professor, could you let me take a picture?" Albert asked earnestly, holding up his camera.

Not only Snape, but also George and the other two froze, their expressions turning somewhat strange.

Snape stared at Albert with an expressionless face, while Albert maintained a smile on his face, completely ignoring Snape's death stare.

"Sir, is it not allowed?" Albert asked again.

"If you have time to wander around..."

"No, sir, we're not just wandering around here," Albert said seriously. "We're just using our spare time to figure out the layout of the classrooms in the castle as quickly as possible. It's essential for any new student. After all, Hogwarts doesn't give us maps, does it? And knowing the shortcuts in the castle can prevent new students from being late by accident."

Even Snape couldn't utter his words, and the three people beside him were completely stunned.

Why can you say that with such confidence?

However, it does seem to make some sense.

Hogwarts Castle is indeed like a maze. The school doesn't provide maps and doesn't even allow us to come out and familiarize ourselves with the layout of the castle.

Snape's lips trembled slightly as he stared coldly at Albert. "If you have so much time, why don't you read 'Potions and Magic' a few more times? I'll ask you a question first in the next class, so get out of my sight right now."

"Well then, see you on Friday, Professor." Albert waved with a smile, nudged the three people next to him, and disappeared around the corner at the end of the corridor.

"Wow, you actually want to take a picture of Snape."

"You actually dared to confront him head-on!" The twins gave Albert a thumbs-up in unison, unable to contain their laughter. "Don't you know? He's famous..."

"I didn't criticize him, I was just stating the facts." Albert didn't admit it at all; he hadn't criticized Snape, he was just stating the facts.

"Yes, yes, that's true." George nodded repeatedly, and even the three of them had to admit that it was the truth.

Therefore, Snape couldn't do anything to him.

"By the way, you just said Snape was famous for what?" Albert changed the subject and asked, "Famous for what?"

"…Notoriously unreasonable." George couldn't help but laugh. "But his expression just now was really funny."

"Tell me, where does that passage lead?" Lee Jordan was even more curious about this question.

"I don't know, I'll check again when I have time this afternoon!" Albert noticed a new task appearing on his interface.

A master of courting death.

Snape is one of the most unpopular professors in Hogwarts history. You've already successfully flirted with him once, so why not continue this feat?

Task completion rate: 1/5.

Reward: 2000 experience points.

What a daredevil!

"By the way, um... what are you planning to do?" Fred suddenly asked.

"That one?" Albert asked, puzzled. "Which one?"

"It's just asking questions!" Lee Jordan reminded him. "Didn't Snape say he was going to ask you questions in the first class?"

"It's alright, it's just a question. As long as it doesn't exceed the knowledge in 'Potions and Magical Elixirs,' there won't be any major problems." Albert was quite confident in his memory, and the question was nothing to worry about.

"I almost forgot about that. I'm suddenly looking forward to Potions class next Friday." The three looked at each other, remembering that the person in front of them had an exceptionally strong memory and a brilliant mind, so dealing with Snape's questions shouldn't be a problem.

"If you get them all right, will Snape give you extra points?" George suddenly asked.

"Definitely not," Albert said with certainty.

"I think so too. By then, everyone will be able to see what kind of professor he really is."
