Mrs. Sterling shot Timothy a resentful glare, coughed heavily, then turned her glare on Sharon Dalton.
Terrified by Mrs. Sterling's gaze, Sharon Dalton immediately hid behind Timothy Sterling.
"Mom, Sharon, she..."
"You shut your mouth!" Mrs. Sterling cut Timothy Sterling off sharply. She turned to the butler and ordered, "Call the Dalton family. Tell them all to get over here! I want to see just how the Daltons raised their daughter! To do something so shameless as climbing into her own brother-in-law's bed!"
With that, Mrs. Sterling turned away, her fury uncontrollable. Supported by a maid, she left the banquet hall and headed for the living room.
Sharon Dalton remained hidden behind Timothy Sterling, her small hands clutching tightly to his clothes. Only now did she truly realize the mistake she had made.
