Synopsis
Four gorgeous girls. One shared apartment. A rent-deadline-desperate guy who wants more out of life than just scraping by. Souta Kannazuki just wants to survive college, pay rent on time, and stop his little sister from turning their apartment into a full-blown cosplay jungle. It’s not glamorous, but it’s life, and lately, it feels like he’s running out of options. So when Souta lands a suspiciously high-paying housekeeping job in the city’s most luxurious apartment complex, he doesn’t think twice. Big mistake. Because the apartment belongs to four girls. They’re all his classmates. They’re all outrageously attractive. And none of them are as simple as they look. Each girl is chasing something, dreams, independence, answers, a future she hasn’t reached yet. Caught between them, Souta quickly realises this job isn’t just about cleaning floors or making rent. It’s about being pulled into lives that are just as messy, uncertain, and complicated as his own. Between misunderstandings that spiral out of control, sharp-tongued tsunderes, accidental kisses that feel a little too serious, maid uniforms that were definitely not in the contract, and the phrase “You’re such a rascal” being thrown at him far too often, Souta’s quiet plan to get by turns into something far more dangerous. What began as a way to make rent becomes the most important choice of his life, because getting close is easy, but walking away is not

Chapter 1 - Prologue.

The room hums with voices.

Laughter. Glasses clinking. A piano playing something soft and familiar.

But I don't hear any of it.

My hands are shaking.

My throat's dry. My heart's racing in a way it hasn't in years, really ever since the moment our fates were sealed together.

Then the music shifts, and the old wooden doors open up.

She steps through the doors.

Veil down. Dress flowing like the moonlight. Everyone turns to look at her, but she doesn't look at them.

She's walking toward me, like she's done it before. Like this moment was never in doubt.

I can't breathe. Because even with the veil, I know it's her. Not by her face, but by the way, my chest tightens.

That familiar pull I never could explain even all these years later.

As she stops in front of me. I could smell the faint smell of lavender before she leans in close.

And a smile grows on her face like she's been waiting to say this for years.

And just for a brief moment there was silence.

Until she finally spoke into my ear.

"You're such a rascal."

And for a moment my brain blanked out.

My eyes widen.

My breath catches.

And in that moment,

I remember everything, and how she said them same words all them years ago.
